"People want to make the assumption that the voice saying "down the hill" it belongs to the person captured in the image from the cell phone, that's not necessarily the case."

that's interesting dave bursten saying that because didn't doug carter say it was the person on the video is the voice and it is one person only?
if it wasn't him it was Tobe Leasenby or kim reilly.
But one of them said it.

That clip in the youtube video appears to be from mere days into the investigation, well prior to DC confirming the audio is indeed from the suspect on the bridge (see DC’s quote just above).

Wow. My daughter just came by and I pulled up the photo and I pointed to an area. I asked her what she saw. She has no idea what she’s looking at or why I’ve asked her such a thing. She looked at me and said “a face - a girl with brown hair”. I am blown away. Wow again. Look up towards the center of his hat kinda veering ever so slightly right. There’s an almost bluish-grayish area. I wanna say it almost lightly glows. There’s no way my daughter can walk in from nowhere and look at a photo and say that unless it’s there.

re: the tattoos. I found some posts where he shows a rather nice ink design. Apparently he's a tattoo artist. I don't know whether there's any significance, but I thought it was interesting.

I think this is the first one. There's some discussion in the comments from people who have had tats done by him. Also comments about artistic talent in his family

We talked about this at the time. It seems to have meant that they don't have hard evidence that would rule out the possibility of a second person, not that they necessarily thought there was a second person. Cops being extremely specific about what they can prove versus what's assumed.

That's very interesting. I noticed quite a few comments about the Delphi murders being a crime of opportunity. For some reason, I've always thought this was a luring. I realize that there is no digital evidence to support a luring, but I'm not 100% convinced that absence of evidence is evidence of absence.

One reason I lean towards luring is that the girls seemed determined to go to the park that day, and they did not want their parents to know what they were doing. They said that they wanted to take photos, but that doesn't mean that was the only reason they were there.

If it was a luring, then a vehicle parked in the trees, up the hill from the murder location, fits. I'll look for some maps that I put together early on, but I recall trails from the location where a vehicle might have been parked to the entrance to the bridge (from the regular parking site).

If two people were involved, and one approached crossing the bridge while another was under the bridge, that would explain a voice that may not be attributed to the man on the bridge.

Actually, Carter said that the voice belonged to the man on the bridge with the girls. What he didn't say is that the man in the photograph is the killer. Carter said the person in the second sketch is the killer, but we don't know the relationship between that person and sketch #1 and/or the man on the bridge.
