Here’s another thought, and I’m not saying this is the case here, but sometimes, some who have spent extended time in prison, have a hard time adjusting to the outside (obviously), and actually sometimes, consciously or subconsciously, want to go back because they feel like that’s where they belong, the structure, etc. They can’t make it on the outside. Also, sometimes, they may again consciously or subconsciously, attempt to go back, feel that they belong there, to protect themselves (and/or others) from themselves. I’ve heard some some ex-cons talking about this sort of thing. Just thinking about some thoughts wrt to intentional or unintentional stupidity, but perhaps this latest act is strictly a matter of poor impulse control and opportunistic predation, with no subconscious or conscious intent to get caught. Most likely the latter, but who knows. He refers to his solitude a lot. He probably feels like he can relate to others in prison.

The point is (imo) to let others know he has trained this dog with voice commands. Very scary with a guy with this mentality.
Makes one wonder what occurred to cause his dog to bite the little girl. Does his dog understand "attack"? Does he understand "kill"?
What all words does his dog respond to?

going through his Facebook photos to which someone posted a link yesterday, they adopt one pb dog that is around their house when they move in- he asks family/friends for some extra money to do this. He does have several litters of puppies as well- different years so different litters and I imagine (?) that he might sell the puppies- the litters are a lot - 8, 10, 11 (?) dogs, so they are not kept.

I know that he does art (his facebook has a picture with a skull and roses that he shows his followers), but some one else has to do his tattoos right? so some tattoo artist is familiar with what he has had done and when? i did see a tattoo shop near his home but since he just moved in (January?), not sure it would be one he might have patronized.

He was getting into a lot of legal trouble in IN in 2000. I think he went to SD to get away from that, and picked SD because there are blue-collar jobs that he could get with a high school diploma. But, his personality went with him and he got into a lot of legal trouble in SD too.

That's my hunch on why he went to SD - just guessing. Maybe he knew someone there, I don't know.

This case also reminds me of Gabbie Doolan. Her assault was absolutely brutal. She didn’t survive. Also remembering other victims, Jessica, Bella, Jenise, Hailey O...the list goes on.

I hope this little girl can go home soon.

Thanks. I know more charges could be added at any time. I did see a post many pages back that essentially said that the little girl may have been bitten unexpectedly by one of his pits and forced into the house after that. He obviously has an explosive temper and has been arrested for violence more than once (though no arrests for sexual assault) and had restraining orders against him. It seems he is obsessed with his dogs and may have killed someone in fear of losing them/having them put down. He may have been trying to talk her into a phony story regarding the bite- threatening her to lie and it may have not been going the way he wanted. If sexual assault charges are filed, then I will believe the child was kidnapped for that purpose.

we do not know how this incident started. one news release said the girl "went missing from Main St," but then supposedly JC "forced her into the basement of his home."

we do not know if he first saw her some where else- if he invited her in, if she went near his house for some other reason... we really only have information that she was hidden in his house, attacked and injured there. we do not even know if he was somewhat "known" to the victim and not considered dangerous prior to this. IMHO.
