So I am within 100 miles of this case. There is a lot, and I mean a lot of rumors running around. Frankly, the family situation is messy and concerning.

It appears that LEO is at the point of just needs to find her body. There are violent family members who had regular contact and access to her. There are also rumors regarding molestation and a possible pregnancy. This is one of those cases that stick with you.

The local media and Gary police have not done their due diligence here in my opinion. It has taken so long to bring attention to this case beyond the immediate area.

There are a lot of rural areas not far from Gary. We have a ton of rivers and we are now in full spring so searching will be better for water, harder for land due to undergrowth.

This is a the case of a beautiful and bright girl who was at risk.

Details of Disappearance​

Ja'Niyah was last seen at her home in the 1900 block of Malcom X Blvd in Gary, Indiana on August 12, 2024. She has never been heard from again. Her mother, whom she lived with, reported her missing.

Ja'Niyah has ties to East Chicago, Indiana as well as Gary. She may still be in the local area, or may be in Chicago, Illinois. Foul play is strongly suspected in Ja'Niyah's case. Her disappearance remains unsolved.

Ja'Niyah was reportedly pregnant at the time of her disappearance, but this has not been confirmed.
