The store might have been a 7-11 style quickie mart if she just needed cigarettes, or milk, bread, etc.
At first glance I thought the usual - the boyfriend's story is red flag worthy. But in looking at her criminal history, there is a chance she just may be voluntarily missing. She was sentenced in 2020 to several years in state prison, the sentencing order provided for means for her to serve other than that full sentence and it looks like she was released from ADC. (I've attached the sentencing documents and order).
However, part of the terms of her release is likely staying out of further trouble and if she (or she and another party) are/were engaged in a criminal activity for which she might be found involved, she could face going back to jail to serve out her full sentence IMO.
So I'm split on this one - could be either scenario but with the later, at least she is likely safe (but I would think she would have reached out to her daughter if that were the case).
It's sad really, this young woman has spent almost her entire adult life in jail or on probation. Her daughter is likely in the safe care of family, but that has to be hard on Kiona as a loving mother.
