I just keep in mind that the property owner in the Leann Bearden case looked on his property as asked but didn't look up and see her hanging in the tree. So even if property owners are asked to check their property and it gets marked off the map as searched, we don't really know how well it was searched, ya know???

That's true. but Leanne Bearden didn't have a 5000# silver SUV parked next to her either.

Just in case KK may not be with the car if dumpsters have been checked?

I am still not certain a crime was committed...unless LE has found something of interest on her phone or computer and is not saying, but the searching seems more to be about "let's search everywhere" than one with any leads. At least to me. Just not sure that Krista leaving phone behind, maybe going back for it and then getting abducted aren't one too many coincidences for my brain. But who knows...

But if she's been separated from that vehicle.........
Truth is, many times someone is later found by hiker, biker, hunter, fisherman, kids playing. fwiw

I agree, but they have to start somewhere. Finding her car would be a huge boost.

People in the country tend to watch their own property very closely. If they see headlights or a vehicle they don't recognize, they will often go check it out to see who is trespassing. There are poachers, people who grow pot illegally, and methheads to watch out for. #CountryLife Now, if they know a search for a missing person is going on, I imagine some of them would be more lenient. But still, I agree with Amster- I wouldn't try a random slow ATV ride onto private property unless you are part of an organized search and people in the area know about it.

88keys you are so right. It hit me today how
Overwhelming this area is.Its like looking for a needle in a haystack when you venture out of town. :(

I've lived in this area all my life, but it never really hit me until the Jessi Evans and Jacob Wheeler case was happening here in Illinois. I drove out in the country near that area, and I was floored by how difficult it would be to find anything in terrain like that. High grass, trees, ditches, tall crops, gravel roads...it's a mess. :( I believe that if Danny Coston had not confessed, Jacob's body might not have been found for months.

If people live on or are near their own property, I agree. People watch stuff like a hawk and I'd be hesitant to trespass or you might get shot at. On the other hand, there is a ton of land out here that people have just purchased and then may have moved away, keeping it for their children's inheritance or leasing it for hunting. We joke that people out here are obsessed with obtaining land. They snatch it up and sit on it forever, for no other reason than to have it. Dudes here sit around and compare how big their acreage is. ;)

We tried to buy some property, 40 acres, in the woods outside of town about a year ago. Nobody could find the property owner and it turned out he had blown himself up on said property a few years back making meth! Our real estate agent had no idea who even owned the property to buy it from since he had no family they could track down. They had to track down the previous owner who lived in Oklahoma! That property sat for several years without anyone paying any attention to it, and I can imagine there are others in the area that are the same. Although, one would hope they aren't all sitting vacant over methlab accidents. #CountryLifeIndeed

On another note, someone asked about searching dumpsters. Yes, the ones in town have been searched. Not sure about surrounding cities.

Imo it is never a good idea to go onto private land, and police will tell you the same thing. They can find out who owns land, pay taxes, etc and ask for permission, or see about getting warrants if something if fishy. Jmo

I posted with you on that case and remember you doing that. I saw The Disclosure did an article about Kk and Jl.

I finally learned how to copy and paste links on my cell phone tonight. Now I can stop asking for someone to do it. :)

Self education is pretty satisfying. We have all talked about your dilemma privately, but now that you figured it out......:gaah: Nobody seems to know why nobody helped. It's not you----It's Us

I think so too, concernedmother. Are they searching anywhere outside of Boonville?
