Well, I just found this article and it says that surveillance video was taken from TF and a church. I was just wondering if the video of Kristy returning "20 minutes later" could have been off and she wasn't really gone that long....maybe it was just taken from a different location. Not saying that the time issue would mean that the church and TF were far apart but that the time stamp is off. I need to go look at the map and see what church would have caught her.

The only clue leading up to Kelley’s disappearance is video footage — police obtained from a local ice cream parlor and a church — that captured Kelley’s car headed in the direction of her home. However, according to her father, the video footage is “kind of blurry” and it cannot be determined who is driving the vehicle in the videos.

This is a long shot but is there any stop lights i wonder? A few years ago my dad was at a stop light and a man walked right up from behind his car and opened the door and my dad had to floor it to throw the guy off because he was hanging onto the door. I don't know just trying to think of anything. I thought for sure they would have at least found the car by now.

The only cases I can think of where both car and victim vanished are sucide and runaway cases. And anything weve heard about Kk dont seem to point to either one. Accident seems like the strongest possibility but surely with the massive searches her car would have been found?

If you pass TF on the way to the square, about 1 minute ahead is a church. That is what they are referring to. It was initially reported when she went missing. It totally fits with the idea that she was heading home as that's the way she would go.

Then, 20 minutes later, they apparently see a similar car going down some more back roads (where there wouldn't be many security cameras because it's residential) and in behind the TF which is one street over from the way she was seen heading into town 20 minutes prior.

Interestingly, they have backed off the church camera comments lately. I haven't seen that mentioned since the first few days of the investigation. I also saw that they checked Old National's security cameras, which would be the next security camera in line to catch her if she went into the square and it did not pick her up driving that way. That was just commented on the FB page though, not by LE or in the news.

Lots of stop lights, and lots of stop signs. And an annoying amount of one way streets.

The news reports seem to be slowing down. Its going to fizzle out soon if some new info doesnt surface.

I remember one case where a girl (Kelsey Smith) was taken from Target in her car. However, her car was found rather quickly. If I recall, it was just a couple of hours later. It really does bolster the idea that there was an accident because you wouldn't think a perp would want to be found with her car. I am still REALLY surprised that they haven't found her car yet.

I'm just wondering if her car is in one of the 100+ lakes in the area. I suppose there is always a way to drive a car into a lake without disturbing vegetation depending on the state of the ground when you did it, and the way in which you drove it in there.

I wonder if they can use some sort of sonar to scan the lakes so they can narrow down which ones to dive? I still don't think the lakes themselves have been dragged or searched since there is no indication where to start. Some of the lakes around here are nasty too, so visibility would be tough. There is a pit off one of the Scales Lake hiking trails that always creeps me out. It's not really that huge (more of a pond) but it's very deep, and covered with green scuzz and it stagnant. It would be hard to drive a car back in there, but I'm sure there are plenty of other mining pits like that that aren't even marked on a map that are in more easily accessible areas.

blueherring, I don't want to know any specifics on exact areas, but since you've been helping the last few days, do you know if they've pretty much exhausted driving all roads in the county and surrounding counties, as well as ATV searches on public property? A week ago, they didn't even want me to do any driving because they said it had all been driven, a lot, and asked for foot searching. I can't imagine they are doing more car and ATV searches in the immediate area, but I'm curious if they've moved outwards or are looking more carefully at the lakes?

Do any of the stop lights have cameras? Just wishing LE could get more footage of her. Thanks.

I haven't seen anything about cameras at stop lights. Maybe someone local can verify?

Just thinking another state.ky perhaps. There are 3ways to go into Ky from Boonville that are about a half hr and if you hop on the interstate its only about an hr or so to Louisville.

If her vehicle crossed the into Kentucky from Indiana at a bridge along the Ohio River, wouldn't there be traffic cameras and/or license plate readers at the bridge or state line?

I had wondered about the same thing, Texasgirl2. I am really puzzled and frustrated by this case, so I can only imagine how her family feels! Some other questions I have that are NOT ones that can likely be answered are:

1) Is it "like" Kristy to leave the bar without notifying her bartender friend? For some, it would not be a big deal...for me, it would not be true to my nature to leave (wherever I was) without letting my friends know. But in answering this question, I guess we need to factor in the potential effects of alcohol on Kristy, and that's probably not a question anyone can assuredly answer...
2) If Kristy DID leave the bar without telling anyone, I can understand heading home and then reversing course when she realized she had left her cellphone at the bar...but then what the heck happened after THAT?! Again, not a question (for me) that can be easily answered, although I sure hope LE has some ideas!...and
3) Do we know what factor -- if any -- her supposed "boyfriend" had in the mix of this particular evening? Did he call or text Kristy? Oh...and
4) What went on with the "friend couple" and Kristy earlier in the evening? I am not suggesting that they are involved in her disappearance -- I just don't quite "get it," as to what went down communications-wise between them all.

I don't know...just perplexed.

You legal types, it says something about hoping other land owners allow the drone to fly over their properties too. Would they necessarily have to have permission to "fly" over a property? It just made me wonder, curious.

I would love to know the answers to these questions as well. I'm just as perplexed. I don't even know what to do at this point. A tiny lead would help so much! I feel like we are just going over & over everything at this point. And I'm sure LE has thought of everything. At least, I hope they have. I have been scouring maps to try and understand this area a bit more. SO helpful to have locals here to help us. Also thankful for blueherring who has been out searching with the groups!!

I am still hopeful that today is the day!!

Ugh! Some more surveillance footage would be so helpful! What do we know about cameras outside of Boonville in the direction Kristy might have been going? Anyone hear anything about those being checked?

I dont think so. Especially wouldnt think there would be cameras on the blue bridge entering into owensboro. Guess after this everyone will realise the importance of surveillance cameras in our area. It just never seemed neccessary around here are my thoughts. I mean literally, nothing happens here, like borderline boring nothing happens here.
