I would love to know the answers to these questions as well. I'm just as perplexed. I don't even know what to do at this point. A tiny lead would help so much! I feel like we are just going over & over everything at this point. And I'm sure LE has thought of everything. At least, I hope they have. I have been scouring maps to try and understand this area a bit more. SO helpful to have locals here to help us. Also thankful for blueherring who has been out searching with the groups!!

I am still hopeful that today is the day!!

Texasgirl2: You were "with me" on the Huston case, right? Not that the facts are the same on this case at all...but does your brain hurt at all like mine??? "Think, Think, Think" is just thinking too much! ;)

It seems like people are posting more and more about strange happenings in the area lately. I can't decide if this sort of stuff happens all the time and we just don't hear about it, it really is unusual, or people are embellishing or it isn't quite true.

It does happen all the time. We are hearing about it more now because everyone is on edge and is reporting everything. And then they are talking about it on Facebook. Not saying it isn't bad, but I'm guessing all those incidents don't really have anything to do with Kristy's case.

Also, they've never absolutely confirmed it was her car the second time around. I think it's so blurry that it's probably going to be hard to say definitively. One would think that nobody else has a car like that in town, but interestingly, I saw the same car in Lynnville yesterday. It was a soccer mom with a bunch of kids in it, but it was literally the same car.

Still, what are the odds that the exact same make/model of car would drive by exactly the same place that Kristy's car was 20 minutes earlier at 1:30 am in a dead town like Boonville? I think the odds are very good that it's her car.

Lots of stop lights, and lots of stop signs. And an annoying amount of one way streets.

Would she have gone back around the square? There are lots of stoplights there, and if she hit enough red lights, it could account for at least a few extra minutes. Also, maybe she was taking back streets instead of main ones because she had been drinking and didn't want to get pulled over.

I'm just wondering if her car is in one of the 100+ lakes in the area. I suppose there is always a way to drive a car into a lake without disturbing vegetation depending on the state of the ground when you did it, and the way in which you drove it in there.

I'm wondering if it's in one of the rivers. :( We have two major rivers within 20-40 miles, and lots of tributaries Wouldn't be the first time a person used one of the rivers as a dumping ground.

Do any of the stop lights have cameras? Just wishing LE could get more footage of her. Thanks.

I doubt it. Can't think of a reason why they would have them.

I wonder if there are cameras at the courthouse. Not the old one in the middle of the square, but the newer one on the corner. The judicial building, or whatever it's called. It's right on the corner of two fairly busy streets.

If her vehicle crossed the into Kentucky from Indiana at a bridge along the Ohio River, wouldn't there be traffic cameras and/or license plate readers at the bridge or state line?

I don't think so. At least not at the Twin Bridges from Evansville to Henderson. Why would there be a license plate reader at a state line?

If she went around the square, old national cameras would have picked her up. Apparently it didn't. She must have turned off between the church and Old National.

I was! ;) I think for me...I don't trust myself anymore. I double check everything I post to make sure I didn't totally get it wrong. I'm more leery. I have been on here since 2004 (under a different handle before because I lost my password) and I've read about a lot of things on here. That case just crushed me for some reason. Maybe it's that I'm a mom....not really sure. I know that others brought up the possibility of suicide but I didn't entertain it even for a minute. I think it will stick with me for a while. I follow the Maura Murray and Holly Bobo case religiously and there hasn't been closure in either case. We got the closure from Jennifer Huston so I think it's just hard to move on. I don't know that I have been directly involved with a missing person on WS since Laci Peterson that ended badly. Most of the cases close to my heart are unresolved. So, Jennifer Huston hit me pretty darn hard. :(

I think if they find Kristy safe and she left of her own accord, I will be surprised (the glass is almost always half full with me) but it will also renew my faith a little. I feel a little bummed these days after following the Huston case so closely.

I may be misunderstanding what you are trying to say. Old national is a block over from the square. If she circled the square, especially if she went south on third st. toward the SS she wouldn't have been seen on old nationals cameras.

I dont think so. Especially wouldnt think there would be cameras on the blue bridge entering into owensboro. Guess after this everyone will realise the importance of surveillance cameras in our area. It just never seemed neccessary around here are my thoughts. I mean literally, nothing happens here, like borderline boring nothing happens here.

I get what you're saying here. Is it your sense that this is more likely a personal issue -- in that it is so unlikely to be an occurence for your area that it is more likely very specific to Kristy?....do you get the get the idea of what I mean?

I hear ya. Big hug!!!!! For me, I got this horrible feeling that it was suicide, in the Huston case, but my heart fought against that every step of the way -- because I am a Mom, and I just could not fathom that.

With this case, I am simply confused.

I'm not trying to sleuth him, but is the husband (ex-husband?) considered a POI or a suspect by LE?

Not that I have seen so far.

I think we are going to find out this is the case. I'm still not sold on suicide, but if it is a case of foul play, then I think it is someone that she knows, and is close to. I am starting to hear rumors about other suspects that i will not post here. There are so many things that are bizarre about this case. I have gone back and watched much of the media coverage on this, and other theories are starting to make more sense to me.

Thanks, "justme." I have no earthly idea, but this sounds like the potential to be more "stalkish," to me.

P.S. Do NOT stop "trusting" yourself...I know it is hard/very disheartening at times, but try not to get discouraged when you apply your own thinking onto someone else and it just doesn't match up...in other words, what WE may think/feel/do just may not sync up to someone who is is unduly stressed, depressed, etc.

Still, if this is a suicide (and I feel deep, deep down it's not but what do I know?), I won't even know what to think anymore. I am sticking to two theories--accident OR abduction from the VFW after she went back to get her phone or by someone she knew as an acquaintance. Glad to be posting with you again though Think cubed. ;). I appreciate your sweet words!

I am hearing the same. Now if LE could just release a tiny bit of this information so we could talk about it, that would be TERRIFIC.

Sorry, I'm an idiot! I said Old National but meant the other bank that is on the block. She was coming up 62 and was seen passing the Methodist church. If she stayed on that road, she would have passed Boonville Federal Savings. I suppose she could have turned onto Fourth and went back the other direction, would would have definitely put her back on Flint St. where they picked her up (possibly) behind TF, but if she went around the square, I think she should have passed that one bank, which has a security camera. There are actually two banks over there, and then Old National down a block.

Old National was also checked, if I remember early discussions, to see if she stayed on 62 and went out towards Evansville and that is where I heard they found nothing. I assume there was nothing on the Federal Savings bank camera either but now that I think about it, I didn't hear anything specific about that bank or the other one near the square.

Yeah, pretty big disparity there.

Some parents are completely right that they have a good handle on the personal aspects in the lives of their children...but some are in the dark -- to no fault of their own.
