I have never been laser focused on a suspect before. But many red flags waving on PE. I think the case of Libby and Abbie, has been so fustrating on many. More so the victims family, and Lady JUSTICE. We want the right killer.
I just find that his past holds a lot of unknown victims. MOO
He took the coward way out. He was local enough to of set people straight if he was not holding secrets of old unsolved crimes. As in asking forgiveness if that makes sense. Of course crimals evilness never do.

Will we ever know the horror of others and witness Justice once and for all.
One question did PE smoke cigarettes?

Yes he did and here is the picture to prove it. It’s in his right hand and I’m really hoping the butt they found in evidence is the dna they need to make the connection to the case.

Sheriff who led standoff worries about officers

BOONE COUNTY, INDIANA - The Boone County sheriff who led a multi-agency police standoff Thursday with a Tippecanoe County rape suspect says he wants to ensure the officers on the scene receive the mental health services they need.

Boone County Sheriff Mike Nielsen described the event as "traumatic."

"I've seen things that I can't unsee," Nielsen said Friday. "This is one of those that I will never be able to unsee."

Nielsen has been sheriff for 36 years and has become passionate about ensuring officers receive access to proper therapy and mental health programs.

With the standoff ending with a suicide, Nielsen said he wants to make sure officers on Thursday's scene are taken care of emotionally.

"They may have went home safe, but we've got to make sure they're safe for the next year and the rest of their career," Nielsen said.

I’m glad they didn’t let him call her! He already (since 1991) had enough time screwing up her life! What a wonderful husband and father".....good ridence!
He could have called her anytime in the prior 6 days but I'm surprised they didn't get a family member in to try to help talk him out of the situation.

Perhaps they did, we don't actually know do we?

I wonder what he would say to his wife if LE actually did let him make that call to her.
Perhaps they did contact her and she didn't want to speak to him.

His is on 900 but I’m getting a vibe that he was living at the parents on 775. Also county records shows he owns another property in the area.
What's the other property? Do you have a link?

I wonder if they filmed the whole thing? They probably would right?

I sure hope so, especially given the 2 headshots. Video is such a useful tool to protect LE against accusations.

He's dead so cannot be arrested or charged now but accomplices who may have helped him could be.

But his DNA will be extracted. They have a rape case to solve definitively.

Sorry, but it isn't clear to me exactly. How is he lurking outside whichever property at 4.30 a.m. and none of his relatives or neighbours notice?

And did she pull into her friend's driveway? Previous articles made it sound like the survivor and her friend drove around for some time until she recognized the location she was held. This article seems to suggest that the locations were all in close proximity, or am I reading it wrong?

Fineprint says the properties are close and there is a third. I have asked for a link to the third one. Am wondering if there is LE activity at these properties at all?

He sure does have a cig in his right hand. Do we know where the cig was located in regard to proximity of the crime scene. Seems like that area where the girls were found would not be a area where there would be a lot of prior activity........unless RL is a smoker. I can't remember if the cig was located on land or floating in the water.

At the very least on dash cams or body cams...you would think

It was in the water.

Here's a map from PE's address on 900, to the driveway into his parent's property on 775. It's a 2.2 mile drive.

Point A - PE's current (as in the day of the crime) address on 900 road. I think the woman got the flat around his house. She then drove a little ways up 900 to her friend's driveway, where PE followed her.

Point B - the driveway into his parent's property and the barn we suspect she was held at. His brother owns property bordering it, as well.

So a lot of us have been able to find photos of PE but has anyone been able to find one of him in a winter jacket?
