I'm just saying PE wasnt an angel but I don't think he was some big bad serial rapist either. I think once you get linked to a crime such as the Delphi one and people talk all the time, you eventually go insane because the chatter never stops. All for what? Because he looks similar?

I need proof he is responsible for the murders. Not talk. Not chatter.

We don't know when this tip got called in, nor what it was for. PE's name, and his looks, as far as I know, were not anywhere on SM until he'd already abducted and raped a young woman and then went on the run. IMO, if he was insane, it happened long before his name was tied to Delphi. Jmo

Someone mentioned that PE may have suffered with CTE and I had never heard of that so I looked it up. Here is a link to what I found.

I read this as meaning he kidnapped her raped her, she escapes, he recaptured her, smashes her watch as she is attempting to call 911 (hence the two kidnapping and confinement charges mentioned), attempts to rape her again, she then engages him in conversation and he eventually takes her back to her car.

(Just bumping this link from the beginning of the thread.) The warning about SM was strange I thought. Also, this article states one of the alleged charges was interfering with the reporting of a crime, which was probably smashing the watch IMO.

Around here we also get the assorted comments of vigilante justice, shade hurled at families, direct threats hurled at families, blow by blow location of searchers, just sure they are no doubt responsible for "fill in the blank" crime that is unsolved, etc.

No one ever said he is responsible for the murders. People are discussing the possibility and analyzing the crimes. That's kind of the point of true crime forums.

I'm sure LE did know but I still think that is strange. I mean was he a particularly dangerous offender because I have never seen this type of warning given out before when criminals are on the run and warrants are out on them. It is a common occurrence that warrants are issued. Maybe because he contacted the media first himself. This was unusual because of that. Normally perps don't want any media attention, whereas this guy actually did want it. I wonder why that was?

I don't think he was even supposed to drive but he appeared to have a lot of vehicles on his farm. He stole a red pickup from Tippecanoe County to escape in. I don't know what vehicle he drove away from the police initially. Was there a BOLO issued for a vehicle?
