They all agreed to the process before but Booker backed out. P&C did complete the process, though. IIRC, B claimed P&C weren't really sorry and they were just doing that to avoid prosecution. I'll post a little more about this when they update P&C's cases.

Tomorrow is the hearing for the P&C motion to dismiss.

Here is the video footage of Booker's arrest in Indy. It's 2 hours long; several different cams. This may give some idea of how the escalation at the lake went.

Purdy (44/now 45) arrested & charged (7/17/20) with criminal confinement, battery resulting in moderate bodily injury & intimidation (The intimidation charge is related to the allegation that Purdy said "get a noose" in a threat of lynching against Booker). $5K Surety bond. *Jerry Edward Cox (38/now 39) arrested & charged (7/17/20) with aiding, inducing or causing criminal confinement, battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, intimidation & 2 counts of battery. $5K Surety bond. Posted bond (7/23/20).
Trial set to begin for both on 3/1/22.

The final hearing and trial dates (2/3 & 3/1) were for Booker's case; his dates were separate. His case goes into limbo for 1 year. At some point he has to do his restorative justice thing, too. Maybe that's why Purdy's atty is asking for a continuance (among other reasons).

This article came out last month. At the end, it states that P&C were still considering if they want to complete the process. Booker has more to consider now than in the beginning. For one thing, it wasn't costing him anything to bring the charges. When he was charged with the part he played, that changed things up a bit. Then he got belligerent with the Indy cop and now finds himself facing 2 felony charges.

The agreement, filed in Monroe Circuit Court Monday, says if Booker completes the process, charges against him stemming from an incident last year at Lake Monroe will be dropped.
