Using your post as a jumping off point, what we don't know is how seriously they looked at the Brandos, Tanko, or anyone else. did they just take whatever they said as gospel? Again we don't know. Did LE ask any of these people hardball questions? We don't know. But I'll wait until that information is afforded us from LE or a reliable MSM site. If LE was only asking hardball questions to these people about DB or JI it would tell me they had blinders on at the time.

Well, they looked at Brando seriously enough to interview him multiple times and have him take a polygraph. I don't think that sounds like a cursory look by LE, but real investigation.

LE 'moving on' does not always mean 'finished'. It can mean 'to be revisited'. IMHO

No but it does not seem to me like it's a logical response to get revenged at his wife or her lover by murdering an innocent baby that doesn't belong to either of them.

Actually we do know. Tanko was taken into custody. He was questioned. Police said he cooperated. There's unconfirmed rumors that Tanko is on surveillance video or has some sort of rock-solid alibi much like Jeremy but been unable to confirm that.

Brando was taken to police headquarters and given a lie detector test about his involvement. I doubt they asked softball questions during a LDT.

He would have to be pretty crazy and psychopathic to think that murdering Lisa would make sense in his situation. Does he have a history of mental illness and psychopathic behavior problems?

I am not being snarky or trying to argue-but why not just kidnap and kill the wife's friend-she is the issue-not a 10 month old baby
And that night would have been the perfect night to hurt or kill the wife's friend-seeing she was sleeping off the drinking...and claims she never woke up until JI got home..

Maybe (and I am not saying JB is the perp) wanted ultimate revenge. Not only does she lose her child, but she would be the first looked at, suspected etc. I can only put myself so far into the mindset of a criminal, I don't suggest I have all or any of the answers.

DB just seems like a peripheral figure in this story to me. If I was a betrayed guy desperate for an ultimate revenge I think I would be more likely to go after the new guy and do something that hurts him the most.

I can say that this was a case of information coming from Spellman to a producer to a reporter and that things got lost in translation. Upsetting.

Steve Young has confirmed that police have moved on from both Tanko and Brando but have not "cleared" anyone.

And while Mr. Rugen may have made certain facts publicly known now, they have been known by the media and the police and neighborhood residents for four months. That's why Mr. Brando was scrutinized and asked to take a lie detector test.

What we don't know is was the four-year-old child sleeping in her home while the two women were on the stoop or was she crashed on the couch with the Irwin-Bradley boys (hypotethitcally speaking but that's my personal guess as to what happened).

I understand that these are new facts here and WSers will want to hang onto them. I realize Gil and now Mr. Rugen have insinuated that James Brando had motive and reason but KCPD has looked into them. I'll let you debate whether that review was sufficient or not. But police were clear....they moved on from James Brando. They have not moved on from Debbie Bradley.

And Mr. Brando is living back in his residence on Lister according to casenet records.

If Mr. Brando kidnapped baby Lisa and he's living next door, you don't think that has any bearing? I'm not saying he did kidnap her but for those who suspect Mr. Brando seems like that's important. By the same token, if DB or JI truly thought he was involved, could they live next door with their two boys? I'd say not.

There could be a suspect but Dan White won't authorize a charge or isn't ready to take the case to a grand jury. Police wanted to arrest Shon Pernice within days of his wife's disappearance but Dan White didn't charge. An indictment took almost 18 months.

So where was the toddler? Was she alone inside her home on Lister with her mother next door or somewhere else? Did SB have a baby monitor?
