Interim discussion regarding questions from the jury and Arias on the stand #82

Something that struck me about the hair thing. I know she has changed her hair in the past but I did wonder if some motivation for changing her hair back to her original colour was that Mimi Hall is also a brunette.
I remember when I saw Mimi Hall on the stand, how similar they looked.

Perhaps another way to try and keep Travis, emulate a woman who he had a current interest in and also saw as a prospective future wife.
In her interview with Flores, before she settled on the ninja tale, he says the neighbors saw her (trying to draw her out). Interestingly Jodi blurts out that the neighbors would only recognize her as a platinum blonde.

I cannot leave my house without dog/cat hair all over me despite how I try to keep it off or get it off.

On your clothes, up your nose, in your eyes, on your tongue, in your food... it can't be escaped. But I've always had bushy double coat dogs (that thankfully always do their shedding once or twice a year, and it's all done with in a couple of weeks).

As for Travis's dog, I think he was probably scared of Jodi and didn't go anywhere near her. She was probably jealous of the dog, too, and didn't want anything to do with him.

Anywho... I doubt they bothered to check for his dog hair in the rental since there was soooo much other evidence that pointed to her, and there's only so much money that can be spent on any investigation. I don't believe they would have considered checking the car for dog hair, testing to see if it belonged to that dog or thought it was feasible since the rental car would have been cleaned so they could rent it out again right away.

Well, we know her cat hates her. Animals do have that sense about a person's character. Somehow they seem to know immediately, too.

I had not thought about that! EXCELLENT point!

Just need to pause for a moment and say how much I love Websleuths!! Everyone rocks!!! The mods are awesome and the members are the best around! So happy to belong here (and no, I have not started on my trial wine yet ;))!!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to know the jurors' reaction as Jodi described cowering in abject terror when, mired in LA traffic, TA's uncontrolled fury resulted in his yelling at drivers and rapidly escalated to the maniacal fiend actually pounding his hands on the steering wheel!!! Oh to be a fly on the wall in the jury room when they can finally speak together about the case.

Yeah, I would say, "ok, who asked the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 question?" :giggle:

The car would have been cleaned and vacuumed upon return. Then probably rented out to someone else so any evidence would be destroyed or contaminated anyway.

What about her almost BEGGING Flores to see the crime scene pictures :dervish:

"Is there anyway I can see those pictures"?
"Can I see them soon"?

OMG! That's a scream! :floorlaugh:

Hey, we should have a drinking game where every time Nurmi puts his finger in his nose we all have to take a drink... on second thought, maybe not since we all might end up totally blotto on the floor before the morning court session is half over, and I might end up at the back of the line for the ladies room!
:floorlaugh:

I'm beginning to wonder if Nurmi has something like Asperger's. I'm not saying that to be snarky, I really wonder. His behavior is so off-putting, especially for somebody in the public eye, not to mention televised. Plus his tactics at defense seem to be totally clueless. He seems completely unaware of how he has alienated the jury. I have to believe Wilmott has said something to him. Just he does not listen, or what?

Any drinking game related to Nurmi's behavior is bound to bring on incipient alcohol poisoning. We need to find something that won't result in paramedics being called. :floorlaugh:

My nine-year-old has been following the "clean" parts of the trial and presented me with a little song this morning ...

Bye Bye Jodi
Jodi lies all day
Who's she going to lie to
When she is put away

Oh, that is just adorable! How clever! Give your sweetie some extra hugs and kisses for that one!

That makes me feel sick to be honest. She obviously wanted to see the pictures so she could make up a story to fit with his injuries. :furious:

He drives me crazy with his s-l-o-w talking. Hey Nurmi, "Wanta know how that makes ME feel?" BORED!!!
And he's always johnny on the spot with the side bars. He does realize that it is a "side bar", and not and all you can eat "salad bar" doesn't he?

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

She said Travis didn't like hair so she made it seem as though she got Brazilians done just to please him. But she got it done during the road trip and claims she didn't intend to go to Arizona. Why get the Brazilian then?

Arias. Does this mean you got Brazilians for yourself (other guys) as well or did you know in Salinas that you were going to Travis' house? Which is it Arias???????

Exactly. This is why she tries to be careful to lock herself into her lies and can't answer "yes" or "no" on the stand.

I think at the time she WAS that strong. Plenty of us have used our hubbies to see if we could pull them on a tile floor and were able to do so without huffing and puffing.

Im in pretty good shape and have great upper body strength but decades older than Jodi. Of course I wasnt pumped with adernaline either. My hubby weighs 190 and I weigh 117 and I had no problem dragging him on our tile floor. In fact I pulled him by his wrists and then pulled him by his feet/ankles and still did not have a problem when I pulled him about 20 feet each way.

The stab wounds could have hit bone. She was able to slice his neck open all the way back to his spine with one slice. Jodi is not a weak person by any means.

The evidence supports that the gunshot came last. If shot already he would not have the capability to throw his hands up nor get down the hallway or and yeah still be cussing at her. That part of her story is laughable if it werent so sad and such a lie.

IMO

First of all, OBE, another thanks for performing the experiment of dragging your DH as you did -- and a BIG thanks to him for being your "accomplice" (what a guy!).

No, you were not pumped with adrenalin as she must have been, nor did you do it with the help a very powerful boost of *rage* that she certainly must have had. And this rage had been building up for quite some time, IMO. She prolly could have jumped tall buildings with a single bound. Further, you did not have the additional help of the lubrication of blood and water on a tile floor to lessen the friction.

And as for this fog of not remembering hardly anything about the details of the killing x3, I feel certain that she still goes through it in gory detail when she reflects on her handiwork of that day. Yes, she showed him, didn't she? "Nobody calls me a wh*re and gets away with it. Nobody breaks up with me. And nobody turns down the thrills that only I can deliver in all kinds of sex." Yes, she remembers.

JMHO.

Doesn't that prove she was NOT in a fog? I hope the jurors find her doing that to be a huge red flag. Napolean wasn't able to help Travis then but thanks to him the jury has more and more evidence that Arias committed the murder in a cold and calculated manner. :furious:

We need to remember that the fog didn't occur when she was killing him, only descended afterwards. The Fognesia(TM) affects only her memories, not her behavior.

I don't know if this is a quote or if my friend wrote it herself.

'The hidden truth in lies is the desire to remain unseen.' I think the lies are that simple, they keep the truth of who she really is a secret. Lies may seem silly and detrimental to us, but perhaps not to her.

What is nonsensical to observers makes perfect sense to JA, for she has but one objective: To rule her universe, moment by moment, regardless of the cost in human lives.

Woe to anyone who stands in her way.

This is why she must be permanently stopped -- here and now.

Watching ng

No offense katiedid2......
Watching HLN is your first mistake if you want to TRY to stay informed and unbiased.
Nancy Grace (the whole HLN bunch) is nothing but sensational journalism. It's news entertainment with a Jerry Springer 'wow-factor'. So watching that then reporting back is very predictable to what you think.

I DIDNT know that she tried to claim that TA masterbated ! before not his first time like he said on the tape! This evil vindictive tried to say that she was told by others that he had masterbated before. Like the made up people she created that told her other stuff about him having sex with other girls! No end to her vindictive lies and made up stories.

Her testimony is enveloped with lies and manipulated with untruths and exaggerations. There's no way the jurors are missing this!!

She couldn't deal that he DIDNT want her! Not wife material! There went her opportunity to move out of her grandparents home. She lived in poverty! Than she meets travis and thought she hit the mother lode. Evil beyond what we can even imagine. I wonder if she tortured travis in his last moments!

It's my feeling she did indeed torture Travis. I think she started the moment she broke in his house on June 4th. I don't believe she was invited nor expected.
I think she held Travis at gunpoint the entire time.
I'm not sure how the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬-photos were achieved(was she holding the gun?) but I still think she humiliated and tortured him for hours!!

And now she's torturing his family! Because they wouldn't accept her plea to manslaughter! To spare them hurtful details.

I read when she offered the State a plea deal (manslaughter) and Martinez rejected that, she then threatened to shame and embarrass Travis' friends and family with pedophile accusations. Juan Martinez stayed firm and didn't budge and now...we see the results of Jodi not getting her way (allegedly)

What about her almost BEGGING Flores to see the crime scene pictures :dervish:

"Is there anyway I can see those pictures"?
"Can I see them soon"?

When I heard that I just could not believe it. She wanted to see those gruesome photos not only to see her "work" but also to gain knowledge of how she could make a story to fit the injuries.
