I believe Priscilla made a plate of food (crab meat) for JonBenet to take home. It's never been real clear, to me, whether she are @ the White's or not...

Correct but no, the plate was not taken home with JB that night. She ate it at the W's.

Off topic, but I have to ask, what is cracked crab?

It wasn't clear whether JonBenet had dinner or not. For Priscilla to have made a plate it must mean that Patsy was paying no attention, the kids weren't hungry, or Priscilla was afraid JonBenet wouldn't get any crab. Kolar's book says that Burke reported eating sandwiches at the White's, but other reports say he told a cop that they had crab. Patsy didn't even think they had lunch. Up before dawn and not eating much. There's not even reports of the kids getting a bunch of candy in their stockings.

....Meyer noted in his report that the pineapple in JonBenét's small intestine was in near-perfect condition -- it had sharp edges and looked as if it had been recently eaten and poorly chewed.

Based on the condition of the pineapple in her intestine, the experts estimated that JonBenét had eaten it an hour and a half or two hours before she died, most likely after the family returned home that night. If she had eaten the pineapple after 10:30 P.M., that made the approximate time of death not earlier than midnight."

The coroner (Meyer) had in his report that the pineapple was in near perfect condition.

This sounds a bit different to what we read before.
I hope this is a suitable proof for people, despite it being from a book.

I still have no proof it was definitely pineapple. I don't know that the whites had nothing with pineapple in it. I see no proof of that yet. Still looking.

I see nothing in what you said that makes me still not have the questions I have.

I need proof. I don't see proof.

"Our experts studied the pineapple in the stomach and reported that it was fresh-cut
pineapple, consistent down to the rind with what had been found in the bowl. It was solid proof that it wasn't canned pineapple, and what were the chances that an intruder would have brought in fresh pineapple to cut up for his victim?" -- from Inside the Ramsey Murder Investigation, p. 192 Kindle edition. you take the body shell apart and twist off the legs/claws and smack the legs with a hammer/mallet to crack them so you can get at the meat

Thanks, that's what I kinda thought it was. Around here, you just do that yourself. :blushing:

There was a bowl of pineapple found in the dining room.
Here is a picture of the bowl, from a candy rose.

"The police had to piece together the findings of the various pathologists, who had explained to them that when food is swallowed, it goes first to the stomach, then passes to the duodenum, and from there to the lower small intestine. Eventually, the digested food passes into the large bowel, from which it exits. Food found in the stomach and intestines can sometimes be used to estimate the time of ingestion and to narrow the time of death.

In the Ramseys' dining room, just steps away from the kitchen, the police had found a bowl with fresh pineapple in it. Meyer noted in his report that the pineapple in JonBenét's small intestine was in near-perfect condition -- it had sharp edges and looked as if it had been recently eaten and poorly chewed.

This is not noted in the autopsy report to which we have access. Did Meyer submit an independent report to LE further detailing his findings? Or, are there two versions of the autopsy report: public vs. LE? This is a head scratcher, for sure.

If we assume Schiller's account is entirely accurate, logic would indicate JonBenet ate pineapple after returning home & the Rs lied or were unaware she had done so.

This seems strange too, regardless of RDI/IDI leanings:

"Meyer noted in his report that the pineapple in JonBenét's small intestine was in near-perfect condition -- it had sharp edges and looked as if it had been recently eaten and poorly chewed."

Could she have been force fed? ...& why did investigators ask Patsy if the Tupperware container, in JonBenet's room, contained pineapple? The items photographed were likely collected as evidence, so is it safe to assume that LE knew the contents of the Tupperware container was pineapple?

I don't know what to think, totally perplexed...

No quite correct. Priscilla set aside a plate of crab for JonBenet to eat at dinner at the Whites. Patsy said Priscilla did this in order to make sure JonBenet had some crab to eat.

Thank you for citing that Meara. Unfortunately, it likely won't be a good enough source because according to some, ST, and Kolar were greedy authors and did everything they could to smear the Ramseys.

Personally, I refer to the books as valid references.

JMO, and thank you again for locating the source.

Firstly, it has not been conclusively identified as pineapple.
It is not science if it is a matter of opinion if it was pineapple or not. He did not say it WAS pineapple.. But it was like pineapple..

RBBM: You are wrong, It was proven conclusively to be pineapple, down to the rind. Read further down to the bolded part in red, please.

I know you will say this isn't a valid source, it isn't proof of anything, but it's more proof than you have offered up about any other substance being in her stomach.

BTW, thanks Venom for finding that, I was going to hunt for it last night, and had to disengage....LOL

BBM: I don't believe that the container was collected into evidence. I believe it was Lou Smit that asked JR if the container could have had pineapple in it. Other investigators thought it was a container for beads and other small craft items.

No that is not what it says. I would like to see that report because everything I read from the coroner does not say that. From the ACTUAL report.

Until I see it I dont' believe it. If there is a report out there that states that then it should be public.. Someone saying they saw it does not mean anything..

That goes against the actual first report.. So the pineapple actually morphed from possible to absolutely with rough edges??? I don't know.. That seems odd.

That does not mean anything from a book to me. Nothing. I want to see a report I need the source.

And again.. WHY NOT! It should have been. This is the problem, If they had collected it and tested it, We would know.. But because the police did not do their job correctly, that is why this person was never caught, Never found. JMO..

It says it is pineapple. That Meyer identified it. I am sure it is in an actual supplemental report. And as you know, we can't touch the case file.

We have done this dance for over four months now Scarlett. You know that these detectives did not make this stuff up. You know it came from the case file, which the general public has no access. And wouldn't we all like to see the case file? However, we don't be condescending and rude and say that the source (if it is an accepted source as Thomas's book and Kolar's book are) means nothing to us.

It upsets me when people actually take time to source something for you, and you can't even say thank you for taking the time to do that. You just cut them off at the knees. That is very rude. Rude and condescending is what your post is.

I don't know why not. I would appreciate it if you would stop shouting at me. I don't control the BPD or the BDA.
