Is a trafficking ring involved in this case?

Hi, I believe the charge in Washington County is Enticing a child for indecent purposes.

Just jumping off this post- a good link to look at is this one:

http://pdxmugshots.com/charge/enc-child-sex-ab-1-b-felony

If you click on any of the "Various Charges" it will show you the people most recently booked.

(I find it peculiar though because just recently they discontinued showing the material witnesses mugshots on this site. Makes sense probably not to show them but it was very recent that they took those down)

When I first heard about Kyron my thoughts instantly were that child trafficking was involved or an opportunistic child molester had abducted him. Unfortunately we hold the #2 spot in the nation for human trafficking and our state is rife with those willing to use and abuse children with almost no fear they will be prosecuted to any great degree. When one looks more closely at this unbelievable circumstance there is a growing horror that the whole system is salted with child molesters and pornographers, from the very highest to the lowest these people have infiltrated society and are respected citizens. No wonder then that laws that are there to protect our children are not enforced to the maximum, that repeat offenders get a mere wrist slap and that our children have become expendable. Can I borrow someones tin foil hat please..

No Tin Foil Hat Needed...just read this story

It makes me want to grab every child I see and take them home to protect them! Good thing I don't work at a school. I'd prolly get in a wee bit of a pickle if I did that.
Yep, me too. It isn't just sex rings. Read this article by "Linda Chrystal" Here is a snippet of it:http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5816518/kyron_is_wearing_missing_outfit_in.html?cat=34

"A very powerful NAMBLA leader by the name of Lord Moultin is from the Seattle area in Nambla and is considered a pedophile. He is involved in satanism. There are a lot of boys missing from Washington too."

To Infinity & beyond! I love that. My twin daughters taught their sons to say " I love you bunches, love you more, love you to infinity & beyond" when they were toddlers. It brings tears to my eyes! XOXOX

Are there even words? Is this even real? I mean, we all know there are child monsters on this planet, but the fact that we as a society say 'well Bob, here's your ankle bracelet and you need to have pedophile education classes once a week for 2 years now, ya here? I don't want to have to pick you up again for torturing and raping children, okay?" I mean - SERIOUSLY. What educated societies lets SO's free over and over?

It looks like maybe with Chelsea's law and this recent Supreme Court ruling the US *may* be headed in the right direction:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/05/17/national/main6491848.shtml

Taken from above link on May 17, 2010:

"The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va., ruled last year that Congress overstepped its authority when it enacted a law allowing the government to hold indefinitely people who are considered "sexually dangerous."

But "we conclude that the Constitution grants Congress legislative power sufficient to enact" this law, Breyer said.

Justice Clarence Thomas dissented, saying Congress can only pass laws that deal with the federal powers listed in the Constitution.

Nothing in the Constitution "expressly delegates to Congress the power to enact a civil commitment regime for sexually dangerous persons, nor does any other provision in the Constitution vest Congress or the other branches of the federal government with such a power," Thomas said.

Thomas was joined in part on his dissent by Justice Antonin Scalia.

Chief Justice John Roberts last year granted an administration request to block the release of up to 77 inmates at a federal prison in North Carolina. These were people whose prison terms for sex offenses were ending. The justice's order was designed to allow time for the high court to consider the administration's appeal.

The Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act also establishes a national sex offender registry, increases punishments for some federal crimes against children and strengthens child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 protections. Those provisions are not being challenged.

State laws allowing civil commitments of sex offenders also are unaffected."

Hooray for Justice Roberts and booooo to Thomas.

That made me throw up.

Debs if that made you throw up you should read a bit deeper on this case. Some have said that it goes much higher than a "General". There actually was a TV Documentary that I think A&E was not allowed to air or they were forced not to air it. Pretty scary how "high" up this goes and the people involved. All IMO.

How disgusting !!! The prosecutor cutting a deal with a perv like that. If he was in a ring with 85 other pervs located all over the world that tells me he's been at this perversion for a long time.

Maybe this is a good example of why Portland has such a problem with this problem. I think it all relates together, 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and human trafficking but I don't know and would like some feedback on that.

I'd also love to know who this prosecutor was. Pavlok's home is not in Multnomah County but in Washington County, so at least it is not the same Prosecutor working on Kyron's case:

"Garden Home-Whitford is a census-designated place (CDP) consisting of the neighborhoods of Garden Home and the smaller Whitford area in Washington County, Oregon, United States. They are located in the southwest hills of Portland, near Beaverton":

ETA: That charge of enticing a child in sexual activity is a very common one. A man in our office was arrested for the same charge and just got 7 yrs. We all fainted as he'd worked for the co. for 10 years :innocent: We never had an inkling. It involves watching children while they engage in sexual activity. I don't know if it means in person or on line but it is a serious crime.

I don't have much feedback for you except I wouldn't doubt it. I have not lived in Portland for years and 🤬🤬🤬🤬 was huge there when I did, I can only imagine what it is like now. Lots of shady characters involved in that industry, human trafficking would not surprise me the least.

Jury instructions for Oregon - Enticing a Minor
7.6-1 Enticing a Minor § 53a-90a
http://www.jud.ct.gov/ji/criminal/Part7/7.6-1.htm

Element 1 - Enticed a minor into prostitution or sexual activity
The first element is that the defendant knowingly (persuaded / induced / enticed / coerced) another person into engaging in (prostitution / sexual activity). <Insert appropriate definition:>

Prostitution is defined as engaging or agreeing or offering to engage in sexual conduct with another person in return for a fee.1 "Sexual conduct" means behavior involving sex, the organs of sex and their functions or the instincts and drives associated with sex.2 A "fee" is any form of compensation or payment.

Sexual activity. "Sexual activity" means conduct or behavior involving sex, the organs of sex and their functions or the instincts and drives associated with sex.3

You know, you're right. I've lived here 14 years and the first thing I noticed were all the strip clubs and adult shops - not just downtown, mind you, on the main drags in the suburbs. I just stopped noticing because it becomes 'background' but obviously it attracts people from all over here. And...Oregon has more strip clubs and full nudity in these strip clubs than Las Vegas.

"Because of strong free speech protections of the Oregon Constitution upheld by the Oregon Supreme Court Henry v. Oregon Constitution 1987 which specifically found that full nudity and lap dances in strip clubs are protected speech,[104] Portland is widely considered to have more strip clubs per capita than Las Vegas or San Francisco.[105][106][107]"

It's weird I don't even think about it because Portland is such a clean, friendly city. I love SF too, but Portland has a way safer vibe IMO.

What about Meth? Terri went to two drug stores that day, and possibly a rumored third (Albertsons). Was her job to go from store to store, using her own, or a fake i.d., to buy pseudoephedrine for someone's Meth-making operation?

OR passed a law that you cannot get it over the counter anymore, for exactly that reason.

pseudoephedrine is not a prescription medication. it is over the counter and is stored behind the pharmacists. customers get the medication from them - no prescription needed.

You have to show your ID and they log your purchases along with your license # in the computer. I don't know if it links store to store but each store is required to input the info. although, terri did say she had a friend at one of the stores (albertsons??) this could have been a way to circumvent the restrictions on purchases. I brought this up a bunch of weeks ago and didn't get much feedback...hopefully you have better luck. cheers

correct, you cannot get it off the shelf. guess that's what I meant to say. :)

Yes it is. In a few states and growing.

You have to have a prescription for it in Oregon, Mississippi, and soon in Missouri and North Carolina. And more states are considering passing the same law.

Making it difficult to obtain has greatly reduced the number of meth labs in this state. That makes it worth it for me.
