Is the criminal investigation of LA a red herring?

LA tampered with evidence. According to TL's interview, KC was on the laptop at the time CA showed up to drag her home. By the time LA & family turned it over to LE the computer could not boot and was nothing but the BSOD. It would seem the LA tried to stop anyone from accessing the computer, not just delete files.

This could be a coincidence. Laptops are notoriously unreliable. I've had 2 just die. They worked fine and then the next time I tried to boot, I got a blue screen. Besides Casey was known to go some escort sites. If you visit any site dealing with sexual matter, the chances are excellent that you'll get a computer virus.

ETA: I don't go to sex sites, my computer repairman told me this!

Just great! LA is moving - how convenient! LE never searched his house and/or yard and now he's having it "professionally" cleaned??? Oh well, if there WAS any evidence there, slim to none chance of finding it now!

Seems to me that if they were thinking of charging him (and I hope they are planning to), I would think they would have searched by now!!!! YEESH!!!! Did anyone ever ask him if Caylee had EVER been to his house???

Respectfully, why would you assume that his house has never been searched?

Is it for sure that LE never searched Lee's home or car?

That would be sooooo stupid because nothing is erased from the hard drive and they'd be able to tell at what time things were deleted. :bang:

You should have seen the things hanging in my younger brother's apartment. He called it art. It was mighty pricey stuff. Lucky me (said tongue in cheek), I inherited some of it. Just have no desire to hang it. It doesn't quite go with my country decor.
This is a "no biggie" IMO.

LOL I agree. It looks like something he and his buddies probably drew up while drunk, after a game of beer pong or something. no biggie imo.

Ok, that pic is just creepy
CayleeLee2.jpg

That picture is too funny. I can see him drawing that up the nite before he moved just to mess with the peeps he knew were gonna go through his trash. The good stuff was prolly in the bag under that pic!! Seriously too funny!

I think Gfriend's parents house for now.

She is moving there, but It was my understanding he rented an apartment.

I read on another thread that he's back living at his parent's house. I don't know if it is true or not.

This would be a good one for the missing docs thread. I can't remember ever seeing anything saying Lee's place has been searched. Just stuff about him refusing to test for DNA and telling lies:waitasec:.

Respectfully, viruses do not render the computer unusable. Generally the type of virus contracted from "eye candy" sites makes internet surfing impossible by what is known in laymans terms as "pop-ups". When a computer contracts one, the system functions of windows and any application not associated with web browsing still function as normal. I've never known a virus that creates the need for a "safe boot to windows" or produces the BSOD. A virus would have to delete some key registry entry for this phonenemon to occur. It is more likely than not that a person disabled this computer, not a virus. Given the fact that LE was able to not just boot but access the files on the computer as well, a system hardware failure is much less likely.

bold by me - I would not say that. I have 4 laptops of different age that have run without fail for over 8 years.

This is true -and- as you and I might know that - others that do not know exactly how a computer works could believe that simply disabling the boot sequence would be enough to prevent anyone from accessing the data. I am certainly not saying that I think LA is that savvy, just that he gave it his best attempt. And yes, that would be, as you put it, soooooo stupid.
