These are the @zakaHQ first responder volunteers who have been exposed to some of the most horrific scenes imaginable in the aftermath of October 7th.

Babies butchered in their cribs.

Families executed while hugging.

Zaka volunteers are heroes who are doing God's work. But it comes at a price.

Israeli minister says Israel no longer able to accept existence of Gaza, calls for 'voluntary emigration'

A senior member of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government said on Tuesday Gaza could not survive as an independent entity, and Palestinians there should agree to “voluntary emigration” and leave for other countries.

Finance minister Bezalel Smotrich said “I welcome the initiative of the voluntary emigration of Gaza Arabs to countries around the world. This is the right humanitarian solution for the residents of Gaza and the entire region after 75 years of refugees, poverty and danger. The State of Israel will no longer be able to accept the existence of an independent entity in Gaza

Reuters reports Smotrich, who heads one of the religious nationalist parties in Netanyahu’s coalition, was speaking after a call by two members of the Israeli parliament who wrote in a Wall Street Journal editorial that western countries should accept Gazan families who expressed a desire to relocate.

His comments underscore fears across the region that Israel wants to drive Palestinians out of Gaza, repeating the mass dispossession of Palestinians when Israel was created in 1948 referred to as the Nakba.

In the Wall Street Journal opinion piece, two Israeli Knesset members, Danny Danon of Likud, former ambassador to the UN, and Ram Ben Barak of Yesh Atid, ex-deputy director of the Mossad, said:

" *Voluntary* emigration"

Oh well,
With statements like these, what can go wrong?

Hassan Nasrallah has repeatedly threatened that Hezbollah will occupy northern Israel.

Spoiler alert: that isn’t going to happen.

We will continue to protect our citizens from Hezbollah and all forms of terror.

"We are ready to provide you with any assistance. We'll even provide you with an incubator and I'll put it at the gate of the hospital. Does that help?"

The @IDF continues to work around the clock to ensure the protection and safety of civilians in Gaza.

Listen to a conversation between an IDF officer and the Director of the Shifa Hospital in Gaza regarding medical assistance and the evacuation of patients.

It's been over a month since our family members were butchered, tortured and kidnapped by Hamas terrorists, but the horrific images are still ingrained in our minds.

This is the testimony of Naama G, one of the victim's of the October 7th massacre, read by her Israeli peers.

Stand on the right side of history.

Stand with Israel in our fight against Hamas.

Do you not understand that a terror group that burned, beheaded, and abducted our babies on October 7 might also manufacture a crisis using its own population’s babies as propaganda fodder? What about this do you not understand?

***WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES***
We are defending ourselves from the monsters who did this to our people on October 7 and will do it again if we don’t stop them.

Either you’re on the side of destroying Hamas, or your on Hamas’ side.

It’s really as simple as that.

Hamas did this on October 7.

We will not leave it free to do it again.

Police say they’ve identified 859 civilian victims from October 7 massacre, up 16

Israeli authorities have identified the remains of 859 civilians killed in the October 7 attacks on southern Israel, police say, with work still ongoing.

The number is 16 more than the last announcement on November 8, six days ago.

Israel said Friday it had revised the death toll of the October 7 Hamas attack on Israeli communities and military bases in southern Israel down from around 1,400 to roughly 1,200 people.

Israel has said some 1,500 terrorists are believed to have been killed by security forces, leaving authorities with thousands of corpses to process.

The death toll is likely to continue to fluctuate for some time. Some of the over 240 people abducted to the Strip are thought to not be alive, though there are no official estimates. Additionally, as time has passed, there has been a steady trickle of reports on individuals who had been thought kidnapped but who have since been confirmed, through forensic and other evidence, to have been killed.

Reuters has a quick snap that the leader of Yemen’s Houthis has said they will continue to attack Israel, and are looking to target Israeli vessels in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb strait.

Earlier there were reports of an alert in the southern Israeli post city of Eilat, which the Houthis have previously targeted.

The laws of war are clear: hospitals must not be used by terrorists to shield military targets, and this exposes them to lose their protected status.

Why don’t you say that quiet part out loud?

Yes, rape apologists.
It disturbs me that no matter how much or what kind of evidence people are given, they still doubt. That has to devastate the families. Not only did they suffer the horrific loss, but they have to deal with the madness of unbelieving scoffers. SMH :(

The UK is considering using “air and maritime options” to get more aid into Gaza, including through its bases in Cyprus, a government minister has said.
Wow, this post really shows a subtle, but very different reality for Israel.

In the past, western nations simply did not get involved in any Israeli / Palestinian conflict unless the involvement was fully affirmed and supported by Israel. I really, really doubt Israel has affirmed this proposed action by the UK.

But..... 300,000 (+) protestors marched in London on 11/11. Though some will claim they are HAMAS supporters, they might be opposed to the way the Palestinian people have been treated for generations?

In either case, 300,000 marchers, their families and friends equals alot of votes. This then moves the UK to consider actions that they never would have considered before.

The UK’s minister of state for development, Andrew Mitchell, said on Tuesday that longer humanitarian pauses covering wider areas would be needed in the Israel-Hamas conflict in order to deliver aid to the region.

He told MPs in the House of Commons: “Longer pauses that cover wider areas will be needed. We are discussing with the UN and other partners how best to achieve this.” Mitchell said that all deaths of civilians “were to be profoundly regretted”.

The opposition shadow foreign secretary, David Lammy, said the current pauses offered by Israel were not enough, adding: “Gaza is in a humanitarian catastrophe, more than 1.5 million people have been displaced, there are desperate shortages of basic essentials, does the minister agree that the short pauses in the north are clearly not enough?”

Earlier today the Israeli military announced a four-hour cessation of hostilities covering a limited area in the Gaza Strip.

"They defeated Egypt in six days.

They have been fighting Hamas for a month.

During the 1967 conflict known as the Six-Day War, Israel needed three divisions to defeat Egypt.
Currently, similar military forces have been operating in the Gaza Strip for almost a month.

The results of these actions vary, which is due to, among other things, the dense development of the area and the anti-tank weapons at Hamas' disposal,
the Washington Post reported on Saturday, citing experts.

In June 1967, Israeli troops attacked Egypt, Jordan and Syria.
In just six days, they captured Sinai, the West Bank along with East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights.

However, the current situation is different. -
'There's another war going on right now.
A very difficult war.
Hamas is prepared',
said Yehoshua Kaliski from the Institute of National Security Studies in Tel Aviv.

In October 31, an anti-tank rocket fired by Palestinian militants hit an armored personnel carrier, killing at least nine Israeli soldiers.

In the past, Israeli forces have had to deal with rocks and Molotov cocktails during Palestinian uprisings.

Now, however, they are dealing with laser-guided missiles and anti-tank ammunition - comments the Washington Post.

'There's actually nothing new or surprising about the weapon itself. The main surprise is its quantity', said Michael Milsztein, an analyst at the Moshe Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University.

Asymmetric war

Over the past decade, many weapons manufactured by Iran and even North Korea have been smuggled into the Gaza Strip. Transport took place through tunnels, land passages and sea. Simple Al-Yasin grenade launchers were also assembled in underground factories in Gaza.

This is still an asymmetric war. Israel has one of the best armed and technologically advanced armies in the world.
Today's Hamas brigades may have specialized weapons, but they are significantly weaker, says the American daily."

At least the families will have some closure...

Medics in Gaza fight to keep patients alive as hospitals go out of service. Here's what else you need to know

From CNN staff

The United Nations says only one hospital out of roughly 30 is functioning in northern Gaza, as Israeli strikes pound medical facilities in the Palestinian enclave, endangering the lives of thousands of displaced civilians.
US President Joe Biden said on Monday that Palestinian health centers "must be protected," as a growing chorus of world leaders condemn the scale of civilian deaths in Gaza.
Israel has accused Hamas of embedding itself in civilian infrastructure, including medical facilities. CNN cannot verify these claims.
An Israeli military spokesperson invited news media, including CNN, to visit a medical center for childrenon Monday, where he alleged parts of the basement had been a Hamas “command and control center” and may have been used to hold hostages. Hamas has repeatedly denied that its fighters hide under hospitals, as have Gazan health officials and hospital directors.

Here are the latest developments:
  • One hospital operational in northern Gaza: At least 500 patients are trying to shelter at the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Tuesday. It is the last operational hospital in northern Gaza and Gaza City, "due to the lack of power, medical consumables, oxygen, food and water, compounded by bombardments."
  • US officials warn against hospital attacks: National security adviser Jake Sullivan echoed Biden's remark on Monday, saying, "We do not want to see firefights in hospitals." Sullivan said Washington has spoken with the Israeli government about strikes on medical centers, adding that "we want to see patients protected."
  • Israel says hospitals sheltering Hamas: Israel has claimed there is a Hamas command center underneath Al-Shifa hospital, the largest medical complex in Gaza, where heavy fighting has trapped patients and doctors inside. Hamas has denied that its fighters hide under hospitals, as have Gazan health officials and hospital directors.
  • Hostages taken by Hamas: The president of the International Committee of the Red Cross will meet families of hostages held by Hamas on Tuesday in Geneva, alongside Israel's foreign minister and health minister.
  • Communications blackout: The Gaza Strip is facing an imminent, complete halt of communications and internet services by Thursday, the Palestinian telecommunication minister said on Sunday. The expected interruption is due to the depletion of fuel supplies and is expected to exacerbate the deepening humanitarian crisis triggered by Israel's mass bombardment and complete siege on the enclave.

Palestine Red Crescent Society says staff remains "trapped" in Al-Quds Hospital

From CNN’s Niamh Kennedy in London

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is unsure its staff is still alive as teams are "trapped" inside the Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City, a spokesperson for the organization told CNN on Tuesday.

“When I'm talking to you now, I'm not sure if they still are alive or not,” PRCS spokesperson Nebal Farsakh told CNN’s Max Foster during an interview.

The organization, based in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, has struggled to reach its teams inside the hospital for more than six days. The PRCS has only been able to communicate with its team via high-frequency radio waves, which Farsakh described as “unstable” and prone to “constant distortion.”

“There has been a complete destruction of the internet and communication lines. So I can't just pick up the phone and call them. So the situation is dire,” she explained.

Farsakh said the roughly 300 patients in the hospital and PRCS medical staff are all “unable to leave,” adding that all the surrounding roads remain closed. She said all those inside are “trapped,” hearing continuous bombardment and shooting in the surrounding area.

A PRCS convoy had attempted to travel on Monday from southern Gaza to the Al-Quds Hospital to evacuate staff and patients. During the interview with CNN, Farsakh claimed that after searching the PRCS vehicles and giving them the go-ahead to travel to Al-Quds, the Israeli military then informed the convoy that it couldn’t travel there because there was an ongoing “military operation” in the area.

CNN could not independently verify the PRCS claims regarding the convoy. CNN has reached out to the IDF for comment but has yet to hear back.

Also on Monday, the Israeli military said it had killed a group of Hamas fighters “embedded” among civilians at the hospital after its troops were fired on from the entrance. The PRCS, however, disputed the Israeli military's claims, saying, "There are no armed individuals inside the hospital and no shots were fired from inside."

HUNDREDS OF PROTESTERS IN CALIFORNIA CALL FOR CEASE-FIRE

OAKLAND, California — Hundreds of protesters led by Jewish peace activists calling for a cease-fire in Gaza staged a sit-in inside of the federal building in Oakland, California, leading to multiple arrests.

People wore T-shirts reading “Jews Say Cease-fire Now” and carried banners that read “Not in Our Name” and “Let Gaza Live” in the rotunda of the Rondald V. Dellums Federal building on Monday evening.

Jewish Voice for Peace, one of the protest organizers, posted online that dozens of people had been taken into custody by 9 p.m.

“There is no other choice,” Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb of Berkeley told KNTV-TV when explaining why she was at the sit-in. “How many people do we have to kill before we arrive at a cease-fire?”

The protest was part of a growing number across the country following fighting triggered by Hamas’ Oct. 7 surprise attack on Israel, whose response has led to more than 11,000 deaths — and much destruction — across Gaza.

On Monday, hundreds of Jewish peace activists and their allies converged at a major train station in downtown Chicago during rush hour, blocking the entrance to the Israeli Consulate and demanding U.S. support for a cease-fire.

Jewish Voice for Peace led a similar sit-in in New York City’s Grand Central Station on Oct. 27, where protesters filled the main concourse during evening rush hour, chanting slogans and unfurling banners demanding a cease-fire. At least 200 demonstrators were detained by New York police officers.

FAMILIES OF HOSTAGES BEGIN MARCH FROM TEL AVIV TO JERUSALEM

TEL AVIV, Israel — Families of hostages held by Hamas since its Oct. 7 attack on Israel have begun a protest march from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem demanding that the government do more to secure their release.

The marchers held a moment of silence for a 19-year-old Israeli soldier, among the approximately 240 people seized by Hamas, who was confirmed to have died in captivity. The Israeli military did not give a reason for her death, while Hamas said she was killed in an Israeli strike.

Among the participants in the 65-kilometer (40-mile) march was Shelly Shem Tov, mother of 21-year-old hostage Omer Shem Tov.

“Where are you, where are you, where are you? I am demanding from (Israel Prime Minister) Benjamin Netanyahu and from all the Cabinet to give us answers, to give us answers and deeds,” the mother, wearing a T-shirt with a photograph of her son, said at the protest.

“We have no strength anymore. We have no strength. Bring back our children and our families home.”
