Hopefully the babies will be permitted to evacuate.
Hamas has made quite a show of lining up inappropriately swaddled preterm infants, surrounding them with cardboard boxes, and giving the impression that no one cares about them. Hamas doesn't even allow the infants to be held, cared for, or photographed with their mothers.

Hamas claims that the infants were in incubators, but were removed from those warm, safe, protective incubators because there is no fuel.

IDF is providing mobile incubators for the infants to be protected and transported to a safer hospital. What IDF are also doing is eliminating any excuse that Hamas can concoct, using the babies, to demand fuel.

All but one of the hospitals in Gaza city and northern Gaza (hereafter: the north) are reportedly out of service, as of 13 November, due to the lack of power, medical consumables, oxygen, food and water, compounded by bombardments and fighting in their vicinities. Al Ahli Hospital, in Gaza city, which currently accommodates over 500 patients, is reportedly the sole medical facility able to receive patients, amid increasing shortages and challenges.

I bolded some of your comment. The “As we should” is for:

we'll see it in any war crimes trial that occurs though

Sorry for not being clear.
Seen!! Sorry I missed it!

First part

The human drama unfolding at the Shifa hospital is the most cynical abuse yet by Hamas of Palestinian suffering. They are knowingly letting babies die for the sake of smearing Israel. Some media outlets are part of the charade, others aren't.

My heart is breaking for the mother that gave birth in that underground dungeon. I cannot imagine I hope the baby and mother survived.

Hello, UN, WHO ...human right committees, where is your voice!!!

Moo

Now Hamas has taken a newborn baby as hostage. Barbarians. This is a fight between barbarism and civilization. Israel is fighting for us all.

Is it wishful thinking or does it appear Hamas is getting desperate? The sooner this is over the better and the IDF has done a good job cornering them. I hope they can keep the pressure on.

Excuse me @otto but are you interchangeably using “Hamas” for the doctors who are caring for the babies?

Incubators without fuel are no longer warm, safe, or protective. If only.

Their mothers - if they are alive - are most likely not even allowed to see them let alone touch them at the moment for fear of any type of contamination.

The situation of these premature babies is very severe and if they make it, it will be a miracle. Even if they do survive, they are likely to suffer long-term health problems for the rest of their lives as a result of their interrupted treatment and infection risks.

The IDF gesture of belatedly offering a solution to these babies’ demise is definitely welcome, but when will these incubators reach them and will there be fuel to run them? I pray with all my heart that they will.

IDF says Hamas used hospital basement to house hostages

Israel’s military accused Hamas of using the basement of Rantisi hospital in Gaza to house hostages after the Oct. 7 attack, IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari said at a briefing today that included video of soldiers walking through the basement.

In a video recorded by the IDF, Hagari speaks to the camera in English and shows what he says are Hamas explosives, vests with explosives, hand grenades and rocket-propelled grenades, and a motorcycle with a bullet hole in it that the IDF believes was used in the Oct. 7 attack. Hagari says he believes a Hamas militant rode the motorcycle back to the hospital after the attack.

[...]

Hagari shows another room in the hospital, where the military presumes hostages were held. There is a baby bottle, diapers and a curtain hanging that the IDF says could be used to record hostage videos.

In the video, Hagari also points to a chart on the wall that he says shows where Hamas operatives put their names down for shifts to monitor hostages. An NBC News translation of the list includes days of the week, with an “X” marked on dates from Oct. 7 to Nov. 3. What appears to be a handwritten signature can be seen in the middle of the page. NBC News has not confirmed what the paper is or its purpose.

Speaking at the briefing, Hagari said the list marked the days from Oct. 7 and the name Hamas gave the operation.

“I don’t know exactly what it indicates. When did they leave this area? But you have to remember we evacuated the hospital with the patients,” Hagari said at the briefing. “They might have left with the patients. They might have ... ran away through tunnels, and we have signs that they had hostages with them. It’s still under investigation.”

I don't want to sound cynical, but it seems to me a "damage control" stunt.
PR wise.

But, of course, better late than never.

BBM. It wasn't Hamas that cut the electricity and fuel endangering the lives of the premature infants--+anyone on a ventilator+anyone needing dialysis+anyone needing cardiac monitoring+anyone needing surgery-- it was Israel. And the world knows it.

The IDF said that militants hid in the hospital after firing RPGs, though it did not provide video evidence of that. It said troops “responded with fire and fired shells toward the sources of the fire,” killing “approximately 21 terrorists.”

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said any claims “about armed individuals launching projectiles from inside Al-Quds Hospital” were false. It said the video shared by the IDF "clearly shows that the armed individuals approached from the street while the occupation tanks were stationed in front of and shielded by the hospital, endangering the lives of medical teams and patients."

You omitted this:

NBC News has not independently verified the video shown and provided by the IDF, nor has it verified what the items seen in the hospital were used for or whether the motorcycle was used on Oct. 7.

@Sundog how is Israel fighting for us all when they put doctors, nurses, and patients at risk?

My impression is that they are becoming desperate. 300 litres of fuel were delivered, but they refuse to accept it because they say it is not enough fuel. Not enough fuel for what?

They've released several photos of babies with the claim that the babies are dying due to lack of fuel. IDF has offered to evacuate the babies, and are now delivering incubators to transport the infants.

The photos of babies are photoshopped by Hamas to obscure the fact that the lights are on, and there is electricity in the hospital. Hamas militants seem rather pathetic with their schemes to obtain fuel for their tunnels, vehicles and rockets. Every day there is a new, manipulation stunt from the murderers as they try to avoid accountability.

The Israel Defense Force has Confirmed that 19 y/o Noa Marciano, an IDF Soldier who was taken Hostage by Hamas during the Surprise Attack against Southern Israel on October 7th has Died and that her Family has been Notified; the “Al-Qassam Brigades” of Hamas released a Video today which showed the Body of Noa and claimed that she was Killed by an Israeli Airstrike against Gaza on November 9th, however some Palestinian Sources are stating that she was actually Killed by several Strikes to the Head by her Hamas Captors.

RSBM
Israel may have cut the power to Gaza, but I believe it's been proven Hamas commandeered the fuel.
