I want to be happy about this, but why " most of the Israeli women and children"?
ETA: If some are deceased, I'd want their bodies. Bring them  all home.
IMO They won’t release the female soldiers.

It's just gone 06:00 in Gaza where fighting has continued overnight. Among key developments:

  • US President Joe Biden has said hospitals in the Gaza Strip must be protected, adding he hopes for "less intrusive" action by Israel. His comments came after the World Health Organization described Gaza's largest hospital, Al-Shifa, as "nearly a cemetery"
  • Israel says Hamas is using Al-Shifa as a base. An Israeli military spokesman, Daniel Hagari, presented what he said was evidence that Hamas had also used a children's hospital in Gaza to store weapons. The BBC has not been able to verify these claims. Hamas has denied that it uses hospitals for military purposes
  • Hamas says the death toll in Gaza is now 11,240 since Israel began striking it after the Hamas attacks on 7 October, in which 1,200 people were killed and more than 200 taken hostage
  • The UN office for the co-ordination of humanitarian affairs OCHA has said an estimated 200,000 Palestinians have left the north of Gaza for the south via a humanitarian corridor opened by Israel. It also warns that overcrowding and limited access to shelter, food and water in the south are of increasing concern
  • UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said Israel must be able to defend itself and bring its hostages home but it also had to act within international law, take all measures to protect innocent civilians - including in hospitals - and stop extremist violence in the West Bank. He also called for urgent and substantive humanitarian pauses in the fighting.

In Shifa hospital, 32 patients, including three premature babies, have reportedly died since 11 November, following the power cut and amid dire conditions. As of midnight, between 12 and 13 November, some 600-650 inpatients, 200-500 staff, and 1,500 internally displaced persons (IDPs) were believed to have remained in the hospital. Among the patients at heightened risk of death were reportedly 36 babies in incubators and a number of kidney dialysis patients.

Hospitals and medical personnel are specifically protected under international humanitarian law (IHL) and all parties to the conflict must ensure their protection. And they must not be used to shield military objectives from attack. Any military operation around or within hospitals must take steps to spare and protect the patients, medical staff, and other civilians. All feasible precautions must be taken, including effective warnings, which consider the ability of patients, medical staff and other civilians to evacuate safely. The Israeli authorities have called for the evacuation of hospitals in the north. However, as the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned, this would be a “death sentence,” given that the entire medical system is collapsing and hospitals in southern Gaza cannot admit more patients.

They were Israeli tanks and snipers outside. Someone got shot and died just for going near a window. They moved 600 patients away from the windows. I posted about this yesterday.

“It is dangerous for us, even the medical staff, to look out the window. We are so afraid of the shooting.” Amid fears of sniper fire, hospital staff have moved all 600 remaining patients away from the windows and into corridors deeper inside the complex.

The hospital, in the west of Gaza City, has already endured six strikes over the past two days as Israeli tanks and snipers closed in, Abu Sada [the head of surgery at al-Shifa] said, including one that struck an extension to the intensive care unit on Sunday.”

The Palestinian health minister, Mai al-Kaila, in the West Bank town of Ramallah, said 12 patients inside al-Shifa had died in the past two days. A drone was targeting people in the compound, she said, and staff were forced to leave at least 100 decomposing bodies in the hospital grounds because they have been unable to reach them. The rotting corpses were a potential health risk, she said, while staff had witnessed stray dogs tearing into the bodies.

If the IDF is so trigger-happy, what makes the hospital administration so sure that the International Red Cross would've been spared to deliver that fuel?

This is dreadful. I wonder what she was forced to say in that speech. I imagine it was some kind of Hamas propaganda, and perhaps she thought they wouldn’t kill her if she followed their instructions?

I make it a point to watch every video that shows the suffering of the innocent Israelis. Yet I really, really do not want to watch anything whose source is from a terrorist group.

I don’t want to add to their page views, clicks etc.

I watched this anyway to bear witness, but I try to make sure if I can that I am only watching videos from non-Hamas sources.

NOV 13, 2023
RAW FOOTAGE: Watch IDF Spokesperson RAdm. Daniel Hagari walk through one of Hamas' subterranean terrorist tunnels—only to exit in Gaza's Rantisi hospital on the other side. Inside these tunnels, Hamas terrorists hide, operate and hold Israeli hostages against their will.

What a relief!
Release of children and women!!

What a joy for families :)

I wonder who will supervise this operation??
It will be done simultaneously:
Israeli and Palestinian exchange.

I feel emotional.
Will international authorities be present??
Red Cross?
Wow!!!

I guess the difference is that the Red Cross would not be coming out of the hospital.

In case there is any doubt, this source was approved a few weeks ago. Here, we have a young man faking a head injury and taking up space in a hospital.

Ugh more torture. Poor girl.

I also keep thinking of the tortured young girl where Hamas used the "flee preventing" practice of slicing her Achilles tendon (among many other injuries) :(

What? He doesn't want to be a martyr after all? He could just surrender...

Ok now how about the other patients? Are you saying they're all making up their ailments too? The account is repeating the Pallywood conspiracy which has been described as derogatory.

She gives her name, age, Id#, parents name, where she lives. Says she is Moroccan/Polish descent. She has been in Gaza for 4 days. The bombing is very close to where she. There are others with her. Stop bombing, please.
