I think what happened here, is some very top-level ideological, fat-cat lunatics used low-level, gullible, unemployed, restless minions to perpetrate this, while they sat and watched from afar.
I can't speak for past deeds perpetrated by IDF on Palestinians, but every military has both honorable and dishonorable soldiers. These heinous actions are  wrong, no matter who's involved. JMO

I’m, personally, torn about the deals with terrorists. On one hand, no compromising. Release every single one and return bodies of deceased. On the other hand, as a very selfish mother/daughter/sister/wife, I can’t imagine not being selfish in wanting my own released no matter what the compromise is.

Hamas is definitely very weakened. They’ve watched videos of their government buildings taken over by IDF, videos of their “secret” tunnels, been called out for using hospitals and ambulances, been called out for using civilians as human shields. The mental weakening harms them as much (if not more) as the military. Watching the IDF shield and assist civilians probably weakens them the most. All JMO.
Hamas, I feel it angers them, to see IDF take control.

Yes, they are weaker.

Women were raped by them. Women were murdered by them. Women were kidnapped by them. Women were burned alive by them. Yet, the @UN_Women
organization has remained silent. Why?? Because they are Israelis They didn’t mention the Jewish babies, girls, and women massacred, raped, mutilated, shot, stabbed, burned alive, and held hostage by Hamas in Gaza. This is an organization that is supposed to uphold women’s human rights around the world. Despite this, they chose to IGNORE the brutal crimes against humanity committed by Hamas against Jewish women and girls in Israel. Your silence and criminal neglect of babies, women, and girls will not be erased from history.

The UN : Mouthpiece and supporter for terrorism ?

Add the UNWRA to that, who walked back initial claims of Hamas' theft of supplies :

The United Nations’ agency for Palestinian refugees on Monday said fuel and medical supplies were stolen from the organization’s compound in Gaza.

UNRWA would like to confirm that
no looting has taken place in any of its warehouses in the Gaza Strip.

Red emphasis mine.

I'm guessing the initial theft claims may have been unauthorized statements from the 'boots on the ground' workers ?
Wonder if they were strongly reprimanded for telling the truth, or worse ?
The UNWRA has supposedly had workers killed by Israeli airstrikes.

What if the UN had them 'silenced' ?

Maybe the heads of the UN decided anyone leaking factual information had to be dealt with.
The UN has exhibited an outward appearance of generosity and benevolence.
They send out peacekeepers.
What's happening behind the scenes ?

Israel's military suggested on Tuesday that the United Nations ask Hamas for fuel supplies after the U.N. agency providing aid to Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip warned it would have to halt operations on Wednesday night if no fuel was delivered.

The agency, known as UNRWA, posted its warning on social media on Tuesday. The Israel Defense Forces reposted it and said that Hamas militants have more than 500,000 litres of fuel in tanks inside besieged Gaza.

Red bolding mine.
So, no help whatsoever to Israel ?
Not to mention that by now, the claims of no fuel and electricity may be entirely bogus.
The saddest part of this is that not only is no help going to Israel from the UN, they may be actively working to destroy Israel !

It would be interesting to hear the Hamas rationale & “rules” for 3 day pause. Why not release the hostages and just stop?
Fuel, fuel and more fuel with front door delivery

Haven’t once seen a request by Hamas for anyone to come evacuate the civilians, babies, women. They’ve only asked for fuel. Its a war zone. Any decent government would request to have civilians evacuated. IMO

Charity sector pro-Hamas bias using the babies, medical supplies and patients to bolster their donations baskets … just sickening
BBC reporting on Israel providing medical supplies ends on sour note with angry doctor refusing aid … just sickening
I've noticed DWB ads are showing up in my feeds. Never before.

Excellent point, Momoffourboys. And I think the Palestinians are seeing this (and I bet a lot of them feel betrayed). jmo

Israeli troops scour Gaza's Al Shifa hospital for Hamas fighters, arms

Israeli troops searched its rooms and basement
Killed militants in a clash outside
Uncovered unspecified weapons and "terror infrastructure" inside the hospital compound.
No fighting and no friction with civilians, patients or staff once inside

U.S. distances itself from al-Shifa raid: ‘Hospitals should be protected’

US did not give an OK to the operation
US is not involve with al-Shifa raid

Some Israeli forces leaving Shifa after 10 hours of interrogations, Gaza health officials say

Israeli forces interrogated members of the hospital’s medical staff for 10 hours, as well as injured patients and their accompanying family members

Tanks have left the courtyard, but not the surrounding area.

Israeli forces spent 10 hours in the hospital’s cardiology and radiology departments

___
FBI Director Christopher A. Wray told the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday that the agency has “no information to indicate that Hamas has the intent or capability to conduct operations inside the U.S.”
Still, he said, “we cannot, and do not, discount that possibility, but we are especially concerned about the possibility of Hamas supporters engaging in violence on the group’s behalf. … We have kept our sights on Hamas and have multiple investigations into individuals associated with that foreign terrorist organization

At least 650 patients are still inside al-Shifa Hospital, including 22 in intensive care,

Here is some information on that, @MyBelle -

Also, more information on that here in this article from 2021 in Foreign Policy:

“Nearly 60 percent of UNRWA’s roughly $1 billion annual budget is allocated to education programs which claim to teach children values of peace, tolerance, and nonviolent conflict resolution. Yet according to various studies of the Palestinian curriculum, which is taught by UNRWA in the Palestinian territories, the agency is falling far short of that goal. Textbooks depict Jews as enemies of Islam, glorify so-called martyrs who have died while committing terror attacks, and promote jihad for the liberation of historic Palestine, including areas firmly within Israel’s pre-1967 borders, such as Jaffa and Haifa. Maps of the region do not include the state of Israel, which throughout the curriculum is referred to as “the Zionist Occupation.”

RSBM; BBM

I find the bolded part of that quote from the surgeon telling. Maybe he’s saying that out of anger and didn’t really mean it, but it seems very inappropriate for him to say he would refuse aid for his patients if offered to him.
Emphasis mine.
That (bolded) is a lie.
Thanks for the link !

Look at how some of them acted towards the captured Israelis going back to Gaza.
That day on Oct. 7th, there was no, 'peace, tolerance' or nonviolence'.
Baloney.
Do not give a dime to the UNRWA, they're enabling terrorism.

Agreed !
Let's hope they can channel this betrayal into action.

Hi, I don’t know if this bolded part is in reference to my post, where I was speaking about the doctor who was quoted in the Guardian as saying that if it was up to him, he would refuse the aid. To be clear I don’t think he actually refused any aid (at least, according to the quote that I saw).
No, he had no choice. IDF had entered the hospital with medical teams and equipment.

He had a choice to accept evacuation of the infants, he had a choice to surrender and save many lives, nope he stood ground.

Head of @USAIDWBG during the 2014 war, @Dave_Harden
(good man), says head of the Red Cross was aware at the time that Hamas was using ambulances to transport its terrorists—and said nothing. Gross negligence.
His conclusion is simply not fair- at all.

Being brave is far easier said than done. Though many people feel that they would automatically do "A", "B" and "C" when faced with danger, the reality can be very different.

Crossing Mafia power groups such as Hamas, narco cartels, IRA / Protestant rivals, Wagner Mercenaries etc. when they have enough power to be "running the show" locally can be extremely dangerous.

Needless to say, these groups dont play fair. If they can't get to the "snitch", they get to his family. If both the snitch and family are out their zone of control, they get to somebody locally that he or she cares about.

"Get to" does not mean "egged house". The Northern Ireland rivals favored "knee capping" for mild punishment. Beating to death in "romper rooms" was for "traitors". Wagner has a "sledge hammer until dead" method of traitor control. Hamas favors a spectacle of beaten, then shot, then drug by motorcycle, then "strung up" on display. Cartels are, well, extreme- even by standards of their uhhmm...."peers".

In the end, "gross negligence" is an easy term to use in this case. But... I wonder how brave Eylon Levy would be- in actuality, not by self proclamation?

Bbm.
Sad and yes sickening.
This doctor can't pretend that he is in fear of Hamas -- the IDF is already there and he is not being actively threatened.
He's protected now from Hamas and there is no excuse.
Didn't the Gazan doctors take the Hippocratic oath as well ?

This doctor may want to use the sick and deceased for propaganda purposes, though.
(See what the IDF did ?)

I agree with this, I just wanted to be clear about what he was actually quoted as saying.

Just me guessing on why I think a 3 day pause. Time to regroup? Time to rest. Time to get a restock of weapons from Iran and other countries that support their terror.. JMO
Or time to get out of Dodge. JMOO

Report: Khamenei told Haniyeh that Iran will not directly enter war

According to a report in Reuters, Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh earlier this month: You gave us no warning of your Oct. 7 attack on Israel and we will not enter the war on your behalf.

The Reuters report cites “three senior officials” as saying that Khamenei told Haniyeh that while Iran would offer political support to Hamas, it would not “intervene directly.”

The Iranian leader reportedly asked Haniyeh to “silence those voices” in Hamas who are calling for Iran and Hezbollah to directly join the war against Israel “in full force.”
