Netanyahu says Palestinian Authority in its current form ‘not fit’ to govern Gaza

Wrapping up his press conference, Prime Minister Netanyahu is asked about US support for the Palestinian Authority ultimately governing Gaza, as today restated by US President Biden.

Netanyahu says the PA in its current form “is not fit” to do so.

PA President Mahmoud Abbas is still refusing to condemn the October 7 massacres, while some of his ministers “are celebrating what happened,” he says.

Netanyahu says Israel and the US are agreed on destroying Hamas and returning the hostages. “And I believe that we will ultimately reach agreement on this too: that it is impossible to put in Gaza a civil government that supports terrorism, encourages terrorism, finances terrorism and educates for terrorism.”

Can't figure out why no satellite phones?

Every disaster I've ever been involved RC, hospitals, medical providers, media had satellite phones. Yeah, expensive like a dollar a minute. Google says, some iPhones have capabilities, with certain software.

I'm wondering if *some" were available. We heard from media and the medical director, (media interviews/updates)at least daily.

*Google has lots of information and providers

They should be using the Native American Code Talkers techniques. The Navajo were WWI and WWII heroes. Their codes were never broken.

“But in its recent outreach to global allies, Israel has released several pieces of inaccurate or disputed information including claiming that an Arabic calendar was a shift schedule for Hamas kidnappers, and using curtains as evidence that hostage videos had been filmed in a hospital.

The widespread reaction calling out these questionable pieces of evidence has weakened Israel’s credibility, according to some experts, and could lead to a boy-who-cried-wolf situation unless concrete evidence for a Hamas headquarters is found beneath Gaza’s Al-Shifa hospital, one of Israel’s key contentions at this stage of the war.”
IDF filmed a room beneath the Rantisi Hospital. In that room were a baby bottle, diapers, sofa and curtains on the wall behind the sofa. IDF pointed out that the curtains were used to give the illusion that hostages were held above ground, with curtains blocking a window. They also presented evidence of a schedule with different signatures and notations on it.

I believe this is the link you are looking for:

Thousands have marched today in Dublin, Cork, and Limerick in solidarity with the Palestinian people and to call for a ceasefire in Gaza

Thank you, Teche. I was thinking about that, when I posted about using the radios. Navajo were very proud of that, btw, and rightly so. :)

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Friday suggested that Germany supported Israel in the Gaza war out of guilt over the Holocaust and drew a contrast with Turkey, which he said was able to speak without bias.

Is he unfamiliar with antisemitism in Turkey, or does his country have no regrets over their history of antisemitism?

And how can anyone expect us, with a straight face, to take these people seriously just because they have “UN” on their business cards when they lack a basic moral backbone to condemn Hamas for the #October7Massacre?

I posted a link further back about which 15 countries currently make up the UN Security Council. They are the ones making the UN decisions ... by voting among themselves.

When I look at the diversity of those 15 countries, it seems clear that these countries will not all have the same opinions in their votes. imo

Bravo to NBC for not showing the "captive" faces and pointing out they did so because they didn't know if they were speaking under duress.

Seriously, I would like to hang out with Eylon for awhile.
Dude is spot on, IMO

IMO, the blatant 'white-washing' of the UN and others (including many in the MSM) of the atrocities and terror inflicted on the Israeli people is so apparent. It's like they covered up all thoughts ( and perceptions) of Oct 7 with a heavy sheet of opaque-ness. Sorta like the kid in one of those horror movies. " Not there! Not there!"

IMO, even Stephen King himself could not have imagined or conjured up these horrors done to the innocents on 10-7-23. Real Live Terror was dropped on Israel, by Hamas. And, everyone needs to face and confront this reality. If we don't, we all loose. This is non negotiable, IMO.

MOO and Peace

I hope no hostages are killed by accident during this operation.
I hope not. But the priority at this point is getting into the tunnels, destroying the munitions, the headquarters and capturing or eradicating the terrorists.

Hamas was never going to give up the hostages. They had plenty of time to do so but they wouldn't because it was their only leverage. JMO
