The Israeli War Cabinet will meet today at 1800, the Security Cabinet at 1900, and the Full-Government at 2000 to discuss the recent Developments in relation to a Ceasefire in Gaza which will allow the possible Release of Hostages held by Hamas.

The “Ceasefire” which has been Agreed upon by Israeli and Hamas Officials during their Negotiations in Qatar reportedly consists of a 4-6 Day “Pause-in-Fighting” in which Hostages will been Release by Hamas and a set number of Terrorists will be Release from Isreali Prisons, with the possibility for additional Days to be added to the “Ceasefire” based on if more Hostages are able to be Found and Released.

Hamas smuggled bullets used in the Oct 7 massacre into Gaza in food bags designed for humanitarian aid.Israeli investigators found up to 50 rice sacks in the aftermath of the slaughter, which they say had served as ammunition pouches.During a tour of the "military-level" equipment recovered after the attack, Israeli officials told The Daily Telegraph the sacks pointed to a "smuggle path via humanitarian aid".
Maybe time to stop the humanitarian aid if they can't inspect each and every parcel ?

Hamas victims oppose hostage deal that includes release of terrorists

”We know and warn that any terrorist who is released now will return and cause harm in the future. In the Gilad Shalit deal, the perpetrators of the October 7 massacre were released, and there is no reason why the release of the terrorists should be any different this time."

Ref / 1 month ago: This whole video is just, unbelievable, no words, jmo:

*it is amazing how many instances on Google there are of tearing down and defacing hostage flyers
Notice how none of these people tearing down the posters have any fear. A couple don't want to be identified clearly, but they are not worried about being arrested or assaulted or stopped in any way.

Remember when the agencies and media complained about the "thorough inspections" of humanitarian aid that Israel insisted on?js

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi says military pressure on Hamas is creating “better conditions” for the release of hostages held by the terror group in the Gaza Strip, and that such pressure will continue.During a visit to the Gaza Strip today, Halevi tells troops they are doing a “great job, it really is very impressive.” But he adds that “the road is still long.”“We are determined to follow this road and really bring the achievements to the maximum. Also to dismantle Hamas — militarily and governmental — also to bring security around the region, to the communities in the [area surrounding Gaza], and also to return the hostages,” Halevi says.“All these things work together… the maneuver also creates better conditions for the return of the hostages. It deals blows to Hamas, it creates pressure, and we will continue this pressure,” he adds.

In watching the footage from surveillance, there's a strapping lad in hospital uniform who doesn't appear to be in league with Hamas, given his response when they enter the hospital with the hostages. Sooo, imo, not all hospital staff were/are complicit with Hamas. jmo
Let's hope he 'man's' up and betrays Hamas !

IMO enough were that created a safe haven for Hamas. And those who may not have been, didn’t speak up.

"This tactic was used by Napoleon,

and today Hamas uses it.

This is why Israel still cannot defeat it.

Although Israel has overwhelming conventional advantages and U.S. support,
it still cannot defeat Hamas.

All thanks to the tactics it uses to paralyze the enemy's forces.
An attack in open terrain using several mechanized vehicles and mortars would be suicide for Hamas.

Recognizing significant technological differences and the disproportion of power in Israel's favor, it adjusts its actions.

For example,
in Ukraine, the extensive use of drones has provided greater visibility of the battlefield - meaning there are few places to hide significant combat power, logistical facilities and command posts.

Hamas is trying to take away this advantage in Gaza from Israel.

Its fighters are hiding in apartment buildings, labyrinths of tunnels, as well as mosques, schools and hospitals, trying to 'blend in' with the civilian population.

Equally important,
by dispersing its forces and logistical supplies, Hamas is trying to create the impression that it is much smaller and has much fewer strategic goals than it actually is.

As Israel detects broadcast signals more effectively, Hamas has changed its tactics accordingly -
sending fewer signals.

The militant group knows that phone calls and other instant messaging will quickly be detected by the enemy, as will text communications.
Therefore, it has created strict rules for the use of mobile phones, thus reducing the risk of the adversary detecting messages about planned events, such as the attacks on October 7.

Precision weapons – from man-portable Javelins to long-range ATACMS guided missiles – are everywhere now. The ability to combine drone sensors with precision-guided artillery, JDAM missiles, and anti-tank weapons is a commander's dream come true - one shot, one kill.
It no longer takes hundreds of artillery shells or bombs to attack a target when a single JDAM missile or drone can blow up an entire headquarters.

Israel has the same capabilities, but in the Gaza Strip it plays a much smaller role.

There, Israel's overwhelming advantage is diminished by Hamas's camouflage and tunnels, as well as the fact that it has only a few missile launch sites and mortar positions.

It has virtually no large military formations, mechanized vehicles or ammunition stocks that could become the target of attack.

We should also not forget that the side that chooses the time, place and method of fighting has the advantage in war.

In the past, Napoleon was a master of this,
today Hamas uses it -
it is not without reason that it initiates military operations in dense, crowded urban areas.

This is by far the most difficult form of fighting, and it helps eliminate Israel's enormous numerical, equipment and technological advantage.

There is much to be said for Hamas's communications strategy, ardent population and radical ideology.

However,
its ability to minimize the impact of the latest technologies that proved crucial in the war in Ukraine cannot be overlooked.

Over the past year, the world has watched as the Russian Goliath tries to destroy Ukraine, which, thanks to new technologies, is fighting on an equal footing with the aggressor.

However, this will not be the case in Gaza.
Hamas certainly won't win, but that doesn't mean it will definitely lose."

I would argue that this is a very poor analogy. Napoleon was very good about ensuing the battle occurred at the time and place of his choosing. But he never hid his forces behind children like Hamas. He fought his army against the enemy army, not against their civilians. He won because his army was better, more professional. In a way, Napoleon is the opposite of Hamas.

The US and others support and prop up this entire territory.
Making them a country might be the answer to getting them off the US payroll. Moo

In 2021 and 2022, the US was the largest single donor to UNRWA, contributing over $338 million in 2021 and $344 million in 2022.[102][103] UNRWA received over $1.18 billion in donations in 2021 and over $1.17 billion in 2022 from various nations and organizations.[102][103

Noting for the record, I’m not going to be automatically unconcerned about releasing prisoners just because they are women. Of course we don’t know what their alleged rap sheets may or may not be, but have to wonder why are some of them may be prisoners to begin with. Let’s not forget how many ISIS, including leaders, were women.

The difference here, as far as women for women trade, we know none of the Israeli hostages are terrorists. As far as the Palestinian prisoners, we don’t know what their crimes may be, or why they are imprisoned. If these Palestinian female prisoners have no terrorist activity, etc. in their records, and are wrongfully in prison, then that’s another story.

We’ll see what happens. Again, I don’t think Israel will go for releasing high-value prisoners, esp. after Sinwar, but who knows.
Red bolding mine.
This ! ^^^
Anyone who spends time here, and reading news stories -- knows there are many evil women.

This is the cause for the death and destruction in Gaza. This is why no one will accept people from Gaza into their lands. This represents the people in Gaza, imo. You can site all the historic records ya' want. You can provide word definitions from a million different dictionaries for those of us you might consider idiots. This speaks loud and clear. Oh yes... proud Palestinian supporters please wave your killer flags high for these resistance efforts.
imo

Serious graphic warning!!

Why doesn't Egypt allow free travel between it and Gaza?
Good question. It's hard to find older links because current war related links are what pops up.

Article about smuggling tunnels in Egypt

PA's
Linked with the conflict following his party's loss in the 2006 election, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas approved the Egyptian border restrictions by the new regime, purportedly aimed at protecting Egypt from danger. In 2014 and subsequent years, Abbas supported Egypt's crackdown on smuggling tunnels and welcomed the flooding of the tunnels by Egypt in coordination with the PA.[8][45][46]

In 2010, Abbas declared that he opposed lifting the Israeli naval blockade of the Gaza Strip because this would bolster Hamas. Egypt also supported this position.[47]

In 2016, Abbas objected to the entrance of Qatari fuel to the Gaza electricity plant via Israel, because his PA would be unable to collect taxes on the fuel.[48]

In 2016 most Palestinian parties welcomed Turkish initiatives to end the strict Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip by building a seaport for the movement of people and goods. This step was condemned by Fatah and the PA, a senior Fatah leader saying that his movement would not allow this to happen, while the Fatah Executive Committee said this was an Israeli trick to separate Gaza from the West Bank. In turn a Hamas official condemned the PA's position; "This position proves that the PA is part of the Israeli-led siege which has been imposed on Gaza for ten years".[49]

Richard Brennan, a WHO official based in Cairo, has given an update on the condition of 28 premature babies evacuated to Egypt from Gaza.

Speaking to ABC NewsRadio in Australia on Tuesday, Brennan said the babies were “not out of the woods yet” but he was “cautiously optimistic” they would make a recovery.

“We’re cautiously optimistic they will do well but we have to watch them very, very closely,” he said. “They can still develop further complications and deteriorate acutely. They’re not out of the woods yet by any means, so they need that intensive care for some time to come.”

Brennan also said a number of the babies had been orphaned.

“We originally were told that none of them [their parents] could be found but, as we’ve heard over the last 24 hours, several did turn up,” he said. “So that’s a huge relief for those little ones.”

WHO doctor says 28 babies evacuated from Gaza ‘not out of woods yet’

Curious who told them that ?
Speculation : If the parents were killed by Hamas (either outright murder or a misfired Hamas rocket), of course Hamas won't admit that; but will blame the IDF strikes instead.

Add to that, that the IDF is apparently finding evidence of rocket launchers and other ammo in civilian homes and even in kids' bedrooms !

So do you believe now, that Hamas has been hiding its weapons and terrorists in tunnels under schools, mosques, etc?
If so, what should Israel do in trying to eradicate the people who invaded their homes last month?
I simply sent a link to an article.

It has nothing to do with my beliefs or lack of them about this terrible war.

I am not an author, but 'Politico' is.

Hamas Planning Room: “Okay, we have from 1:00 to 5:00 today to get our stuff outta ___________ and move it to ______________. Then, tomorrow we will move it from ___________ to _______________. By the time 5 days have passed IDF won’t have any idea where we are.” Sounds of laughter, cheering, and applause erupt from Hamas Command Post.
Rest assured, we have friends in "high" places that will be watching. Including the media. Moo

Even before Russian military forces crossed into Ukraine three months ago, private companies were using data from satellites and other technology to closely monitor events on the ground. Newshour Special Correspondent Mike Cerre explores the ongoing efforts to track the war in Ukraine in real time, digitally.
