According to media reports that have been linked, the PM ignored the warnings about Hamas his male military intelligence officers personally gave in March and in July.

In the U.S.A., there is an entire system of checks and balances. In Israel, we have no constitution, no Senate, no federal structure, and no other check on the power of the central government, except one: the Supreme Court.

It is a part of the world where dictatorship is the norm. I don't associate it with Israel; and I see it doesn't sit well with many Israelis.

The director of al-Shifa hospital, Mohammad abu Salmiya, is not under inditement and has not been accused of being a member of Hamas, the Israeli military (IDF) has told the BBC.

As we reported earlier, Abu Salmiya and other medics from Gaza’s largest hospital were detained on Thursday and transferred to Israel’s Shin Bet domestic security service for further questioning.

The IDF said that al-Shifa “under his direct management, served as a Hamas command and control centre” and that Hamas fighters had sought refuge in the hospital.

Meanwhile the medical director of the Indonesian hospital, Dr Marwan Sultan, told the BBC that the facility in northern Gaza was under heavy fire, with Israeli tanks firing every 15 minutes. He told the British broadcaster:

We cannot stay in rooms as windows are being hit. We are staying in corridors in the hospital. My office was targeted several times.

He said evacuation was not taking place over concerns staff could be detained.

I think you are right in a certain number of cases- but by no means all of them.

Some Islamic terror groups such as ISIS grow by absorbing other groups (sometimes after killing the rival leaders). This then leads to a two tiered ISIS of: A. First tier, fully enthusiastic, "made members"- even given nicknames, and B. second tier absorbed fighters who though technically part of ISIS, never really signed up for it and are less than fully enthusiastic regarding martyrdom.

Ben Ladin's Al Queda was also known to absorb smaller groups mafia style. Al Queda then under went several "down sizes" as absorbed fighters deserted.

Other Jihaders whose main motivations were not martyrdom, but to "impress friends and win girls" got enough "creds" to meet their goals slipped away. Still other deserting Jihaders got miffed after wages and paid vacations could not be met as funds dried up.

Al Queda then created a two tier organization fully committed, all the way, "made members" and more auxilliary type fighters.

Hamas could have this same two tiered structure- A core of martyrdom seeking made members. A second tier of members very willing to fight- but who also maybe willing to consider surrender under certain conditions.

BBM. I didn't associate it with Israel...until after the Oct. 7th terrorist attack and Israel launched an incredible propaganda campaign to try to justify their air strikes on civilians in hospitals, schools, refugee camps, residences.

Very shocking for countries like Israel and Canada (since 1988) where our women are fully intergrated into all roles within our Armed Services --- we can be, and are, Infantry, Armoured, Artillery, Combat Engineers, ATO/EOD etc and have been doing so for decades --- when the UN seems to ignore the plight of female non-combattants based upon their country of origin.

103 Gaza residents with Russian nationality leave for Moscow​
