According to media reports that have been linked, the PM ignored the warnings about Hamas his male military intelligence officers personally gave in March and in July.

And, according to female military intelligence officers, their male military superiors also ignored their reports.

I pity any woman forced to work with a toxic, sexist male boss. We have laws against that in the U.S.

JMO

There were those who decided to alert one of the senior commanders in the sector, and this is the response they received from him: "I don't want to hear about this nonsense again. If you bother me with these things again, you will stand trial."

It' shocking that civilians are interrogated by the military but especially so if they are minors. There definitely needs to be a regime change.

I was shocked to learn Israel has no Constitution or Senate and the PM has been trying to take over the Supreme Court. smh

JMO
In the U.S.A., there is an entire system of checks and balances. In Israel, we have no constitution, no Senate, no federal structure, and no other check on the power of the central government, except one: the Supreme Court.

It is a part of the world where dictatorship is the norm. I don't associate it with Israel; and I see it doesn't sit well with many Israelis.

Snip

This should be a grave concern, not just to Americans who care about democracy or about the Jewish people. The U.S.A. might soon have to deal with a new militaristic dictatorship in the Middle East, armed not only with nuclear capabilities, but also with advanced cyber-weapons able to strike anywhere in the world.

The people of Israel are struggling to save our democracy. Please, stand with us.

I was curious to learn more about UNRWA schools and funding requests in the last few years. How do they promote their programs, what does UNRWA say about the summer camps, and what actually happens at summer camps.

"During a ceremony for launching these summer camps, Thomas White, the director of operations of UNRWA in Gaza, said that "about 130,000 children from various ages have participated in the summer camps in some of 91 our schools".

Lasting for four weeks, the summer camps' facilities include trampolines, a beautiful castle, football, and other recreational activities such as painting and handicrafts.
...

"Such an activity allows me to play, have fun, meet new friends and relax," she said, and added, "The atmosphere inside the summer camps is wonderful." "Practicing sports and various activities inside the camps help participants gain self-confidence and develop their talents," she explained.

It might have something to do with their terror training. They are radicalized and indoctrinated.

Just a thought.

Israel has hurt Hamas, but is still far from achieving from its military objectives

Analysis: Cost of the war has been devastating for Gaza's 2,3 million inhabitants.

“Once we [take all of Gaza] it will probably take almost a year to clear the whole Gaza Strip, and to explore all their underground infrastructures, and find all their rockets and missiles...The strip is one big bunker,” said Avivi. “It’s full of booby traps, full of IEDs everywhere, bombs, munitions – it’s unbelievable what they built. So there’s going to be a lot of work.”

_____________________________

But even if Israel succeeds in those tasks, analysts say the lack of a clear plan for how Gaza should be run if Hamas is ousted means that Israeli forces could yet end up being deployed in the enclave long after the fighting has ended, with an ever-evolving set of objectives.

The director of al-Shifa hospital, Mohammad abu Salmiya, is not under inditement and has not been accused of being a member of Hamas, the Israeli military (IDF) has told the BBC.

As we reported earlier, Abu Salmiya and other medics from Gaza’s largest hospital were detained on Thursday and transferred to Israel’s Shin Bet domestic security service for further questioning.

The IDF said that al-Shifa “under his direct management, served as a Hamas command and control centre” and that Hamas fighters had sought refuge in the hospital.

Meanwhile the medical director of the Indonesian hospital, Dr Marwan Sultan, told the BBC that the facility in northern Gaza was under heavy fire, with Israeli tanks firing every 15 minutes. He told the British broadcaster:

We cannot stay in rooms as windows are being hit. We are staying in corridors in the hospital. My office was targeted several times.
He said evacuation was not taking place over concerns staff could be detained.

Search the UN Women website for anything related to the rape and murder of women and children on October 7, 2023. As stated in the video upthread, UN Women do not care about the mass rape of little girls until their pelvises are shattered. The victims are not mentioned on the website.

What has to happen before UN Women recognize rape of children as a significant violation?

These Muslim Extremist Terrorists are not afraid to die because they’re obsessed with martyrdom

I think you are right in a certain number of cases- but by no means all of them.

Some Islamic terror groups such as ISIS grow by absorbing other groups (sometimes after killing the rival leaders). This then leads to a two tiered ISIS of: A. First tier, fully enthusiastic, "made members"- even given nicknames, and B. second tier absorbed fighters who though technically part of ISIS, never really signed up for it and are less than fully enthusiastic regarding martyrdom.

Ben Ladin's Al Queda was also known to absorb smaller groups mafia style. Al Queda then under went several "down sizes" as absorbed fighters deserted.

Other Jihaders whose main motivations were not martyrdom, but to "impress friends and win girls" got enough "creds" to meet their goals slipped away. Still other deserting Jihaders got miffed after wages and paid vacations could not be met as funds dried up.

Al Queda then created a two tier organization fully committed, all the way, "made members" and more auxilliary type fighters.

Hamas could have this same two tiered structure- A core of martyrdom seeking made members. A second tier of members very willing to fight- but who also maybe willing to consider surrender under certain conditions.

BBM. I didn't associate it with Israel...until after the Oct. 7th terrorist attack and Israel launched an incredible propaganda campaign to try to justify their air strikes on civilians in hospitals, schools, refugee camps, residences.

That article was both fascinating and informative for me.

IMO,

Nary a peep in their email communications either.

Nary a peep on their GENAD-net either.

Very telling.

Very shocking for countries like Israel and Canada (since 1988) where our women are fully intergrated into all roles within our Armed Services --- we can be, and are, Infantry, Armoured, Artillery, Combat Engineers, ATO/EOD etc and have been doing so for decades --- when the UN seems to ignore the plight of female non-combattants based upon their country of origin.

Egypt: 130,000 liters of fuel, 200 trucks of aid to enter Gaza daily during pause

Egypt says some 200 trucks of humanitarian aid, 130,000 liters of diesel and four trucks of gas will enter the Gaza Strip daily once the temporary lull in fighting goes into effect at 7a.m. on Friday. It is part of a highly anticipated hostage-and-truce deal that will see a total of 50 Israeli hostages, women and children, freed by Hamas over a four-day pause and the release of 150 Palestinian prisoners.

1hr ago

Lull in Gaza fighting set for 7 a.m., first group of 13 hostages to be freed at 4 p.m.

The first pause in the almost seven-week war in Gaza initiated by Hamas in response to its October 7 atrocities is expected to start at 7 a.m. this morning, if all goes according to plan.

Nine hours later, the first group of 13 hostages taken from Israel on October 7 and held by Hamas in Gaza will be freed, according to the agreement which officials have touted but with caveats about possible hurdles or curveballs.

103 Gaza residents with Russian nationality leave for Moscow

Some 103 residents of the Gaza Strip who also hold Russian nationality were evacuated from the Palestinian enclave and are headed for Moscow on a special flight from Egypt today, Reuters reports, citing Russia’s emergencies ministry.

In a post on Telegram, the ministry said 101 Russian nationals from Gaza arrived in Egypt in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Russian evacuees to over 750. Some 650 have been flown to Russia, at least half of them children.

No paywall

More details about detention of al-Shifa head

Israeli governments have long been determined to bring back captured civilians and soldiers — even at steep costs. The terms of prisoner swaps have often prompted fierce criticism domestically, much as the latest hostage release deal did within Israel’s governing coalition.
