I see the people of Gaza on their knees if not under rubble. I am not sure how much they can be their own freedom fighters at the moment.

Then what is the answer? Because Hamas leaders have continuously and consistently said that their mission is to clear the entire land mass of Jews. They want Israel to be exterminated.

And they begin teaching that hatred to the children at a very young age. They are indoctrinated against Jewish people.

October 7th showed Israel once and for all that they could no longer ignore that threat and that hatred. The people of Gaza need to choose a side. IMO

<modsnip - political commentary>

Too many civilians dying. Yes, we can agree on that.
Yes, that we can agree upon. Now we need to come up with a real solution.

"Thousands of Israelis

gather outside Benjamin Netanyahu's house in Jerusalem

for protest against PM's 'mishandling' of war with Hamas."

View attachment 464024

Demonstrators marched and chanted while holding Israeli flags and banners condemning Netanyahu and demanding he leave office.

They held their Prime Minister responsible for Hamas' brutal invasion on October 7,
in which some 240 captives were taken and
about 1,400 people were killed.

One protester, Rani Graff, said:
'Benjamin Netanyahu,
the current Prime Minister of Israel [needs] to leave his job because he is the one responsible for the October 7 disaster,
the biggest one we have in the history of Israel,
where 1,400 people were murdered, and babies, women and children were kidnapped, raped and burnt to death.

'We need him to go,
he is responsible, we need him to go now, yesterday'.

Another person held up a banner which read: 'Netanyahu destroyed Israel.'

Other protesters reportedly chanted:
'Because of you we are dead, get out of our lives'."

It doesn't look like there are 'thousands' of protesters there. I question that estimate.

Marking older list from October 22 that contains some info that may be needed for future reference

October 19

——Current List of Hostages——
“This list is regularly updated and names may change, as some people feared kidnapped are confirmed to have been killed or released.”

I’m not seeing anything on Tamar Goldenberg. Could be missing it.

Was she found, or identified as deceased? Is she missing and still not ID’d? I’m not seeing her on the hostage lists but could be missing it somewhere. If so apologies.

I wonder if she is still missing.

There could be; it could be merely the angles.

One thing is certain, BN is the top dog and will bear the consequences of the security failure that happened on 7th October 2023 as witnessed by his drop in polling immediately after that date.

Since then, some agree with Israel's response and some don't. Some agree with America's response and some don't. Such is the nature of politics. One can't please everybody.

How long exactly until this next exchange is scheduled, supposed to go down, ugh.

*We of course know anything including delays can still happen and nothing is final until they are actually released.

*if there are not some particular very young children released tomorrow it is going to open up some dark possibilities, imo.

He passed away very shortly after this image.
Yes; I watched it when Hamas posted the video onto their telegram account last week. :(

Edit to clarify: That image is a still shot taken from the video taken of him by Hamas while he was dying.

"Another hostage exchange. Complications arise.

In the picture helicopter carrying hostages released by Hamas

According to local media reports,
Israel has not yet received the list of 11 hostages who are scheduled to be released by Hamas on Monday.

The Israeli government agreed that
the ceasefire could be extended for a maximum of 10 days,
but the number of released Palestinian prisoners could not exceed 300.

The Times of Israel adds that to increase these limits, the agreement must be voted on again by cabinet members.

The exchange process between the parties has been ongoing since Friday.
At that time, by Sunday, three rounds of hostage-prisoner exchanges had already taken place.

Hamas released a total of 40 Israelis and 18 foreigners, and 117 Palestinian women and teenagers were released from Israeli prisons."

Something is really gnawing at me tonight about this upcoming hostage release. Got a weird feeling, maybe just exhaustion. Very anxious, as always of course with everything about this, but based on the recent comments about these unaccounted for hostages, and after thinking about these lists all night. I think it’s going to be somewhat revealing.

I know re: Israeli-Russian hostage released it was said in one of the videos Putin stepped in on this. Was this hostage a separate negotiation like the Thais, or was he included as part of the deal that was to include women and children. I am of course happy if any hostage is released, but just wondering wrt the terms of the agreement.

Israel finds issue in list of hostages set for release from Gaza

Qatari mediators are working to resolve the issue and avoid any delay in Monday's planned releases, an official briefed on the matter told Reuters.

Per above link, there is speculation that the delay in confirming list to families could be due to another violation of hostage release agreement to not separate families, “The Jerusalem Post could not verify this claim.”

“The freed hostages have not spoken directly to the news media and most are still being treated in private areas of Israeli hospitals. Much of the information about where, and how, they were held remains classified.”

[…]

“The uncle of two hostages who were among those freed late Saturday — Noam Or, 17, and his sister Alma, 13 — told the BBC on Sunday that they, too, were unaware until their release that their mother, Yonat Or, had been killed in the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks.

“They have some difficult stories to tell of the way they were captured and treated,” Ahal Besorai said of his nephew and niece. He said he had spoken with them on a video call at the hospital where they are staying.”

Israel reportedly raises concerns with list of hostages up for release Monday

Hamas also said to take issue with security inmates up for release * Extension of four-day truce said under discussion * Freed hostage Elma Avraham, 84, still fighting for her life

“Israel has taken issue with the list it has received of hostages who are set for release later today, according to Hebrew media outlets and the Reuters news agency.

Reuters cites an unnamed official briefed on the matter as saying Jerusalem has raised concerns over the names on the list, and that the Hamas terror group has similarly claimed that a list of Palestinian security prisoners Israel intends to release is problematic.

The agency says Qatari mediators are trying to resolve the matters to avoid delays in today’s exchange.”
