It's up to Hamas.
If they don't tell the Red Cross where they are, there isn't anything Red Cross can do.

MOO...I think this where Hamas' connection to medical facilities comes into play. MOO
I agree.

I always doubted that terrorists would bring anybody to hostages and risk to disclose the place.

Come on!

Besides, some hostages were constantly moved from place to place on the ground.

Hamas says youngest hostage, 10-month-old baby Kfir Bibas, has been killed along with two family members

The armed wing of Hamas said on Wednesday that 10-month-old child Kfir Bibas, his 4-year-old brother and their mother were killed during the Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army said it is checking the claim by Al Qassam Brigades. Reuters, who reported it, could not immediately independently verify the claim.

The Bibas family had repeatedly called for the release of the family. Kfir was abducted from Nir Oz kibbutz along with his older brother, Ariel, their mother, Shiri, and father, Yarden. He was the youngest of about 30 children who were taken hostage.

No!!!!!
Kfir is "everyone's" baby

Son of released 84-year-old: Gaza conditions were so bad not even a young person guaranteed to survive

“My mother did not receive any medical treatment during all these days. The conditions were bad, such that even a young person would not be certain to survive, neither physically nor mentally,” he tells Army Radio.

Ditza Heiman lived alone at Kibbutz Nir Oz and was in her home’s safe room by herself on the morning of October 7, when Hamas terrorists invaded during a widespread massacre that took the lives of 1,200 people in Israel.

She was released by the terrorists yesterday, and came home in a wheelchair.

There was some back and forth on the thread yesterday about whether hostage stories should be shared publicly. There was concern that Hamas would use the info against the remaining hostages. I think families have been briefed by IDF regarding this. It's showing that Hamas is low on supplies.

Although I saw a video from Hindustan Times (on this thread) with unverified claim that Iran has said Hamas has only used 10% or so of their weapons. (Hopefully it's just propaganda)

The way, the hostages are talking, it sounds like the hostages are also suffering from supply shortages along with Gaza's civilian population.

This is nuts.

“Last night the Oakland City Council voted on a resolution to call for a ceasefire.

A city council member tried to insert language condemning Hamas.

This was the reaction…”

The Bibas family again updated that Shiri, Ariel and baby kfir are not on today’s Hamas list for release.Hamas has presumably transferred them to the hands of a different group, PFLP.Israel holds some senior members of PFLP in prison after they assassinated tourism minister Rehavam Ze'evi. His daughter, Metzada, wrote that she gives her blessing for her father’s killers release in exchange for the Bibas family’s return.
Red bolding mine.
What a selfless and courageous act.

One thing I’ve not understood is why Egypt has a blockade against allowing Palestinians in to their country? Or why no other Arab country will accept them. I get Palestinians not wanting to leave their home but everything I’ve read says no one else will take them en masse so that the civilians can leave even if temporarily.
IDF should build shelters in Gaza for the next bombardment. (There is "farmland" available, but not much. It's mostly in the old Kibbutz areas) Egypt could also set up a displaced person's camp, but maybe logistics are the issue.

The #Oct7Massacre showed that we - Jews and Arabs in Israel- are partners in fate. Those who kill and abduct Jews- kill and abduct Arabs too. Those who boycott Israel - boycott Arabs too. Those who call for the destruction of Israel - target Arabs too.We are in this together

It was interesting reading the comments of Oakland residents under the original tweet by the mayor.
Where's the mayor's tweet?

That area doesn't surprise me.

Of course.

The Russian hostage Kirył was kept in a house demolished by airstrike.
The Irish girl was also rushed on the ground under the bombs.

They are in Gaza.

I was wondering about the hostage interviews when I was watching the interview with Emily Hand’s father after she was released. It was an emotional interview and towards the end of it, he called passionately for the rest of the hostages to come home. I believe the reason they are doing these interviews and speaking up about their experiences and their treatment is to keep the plight of the remaining hostages in the public eye. I think they want to keep awareness up so that people don’t forget that amid the great news of so many hostages being released, so many more still remain in captivity, in who knows what conditions.

I don’t even remember her name. I read it last night.
Looked her up and don't see anything on her official twitter. It's typical "city news" - bike lanes, baseball, public events, announcements, public safety etc etc...She did post anything about the city council meeting on Monday.

The meeting on Monday was on gov website, but the agenda was changed "due an emergency" and wasn't posted.
The councilwoman who introduced the resolution hasn't updated her twitter since Nov 13th.
