I don't know how practical this is, but I agree with him that IDF soldiers are POWS, not hostages.

However, sentencing someone to death who is already serving a life sentence probably won't work, unless he is charged with another crime. Israel is not a despot govt like SA or Iran.

Either Hamas is being deceptive, or maybe they are not the supreme God Father? I am thinking that there are two possibilities regarding Hamas:

A. Hamas is the total terror God Father in Gaza. Hostages are passed back to them on demand. No fringe group dares give them deceptive or vague answers on anything- including hostages. Hamas orders to fringe groups are obeyed- quickly.

B. Hamas is the largest group, but is not the ultimate terror God Father. They dont really have full control of the situation. They cant really force other groups to give them accurate info, let alone transfer back / release hostages on demand. Other groups are strong enough to decide which Hamas "suggestions" are followed and which are not.

In the end, I am thinking Hamas is "B".
or C: Hamas is running low on resources.
We don't know...All MOO

One cannot envisage living as the Palestinians do in an enclave over which they have no control - no rights - and ruled by a hostile power.

How many Palestinian Gazans WANT to denounce terrorism and would prove it??
How many Palestinian Gazans HATE Hamas control and would prove it??
How many Palestinian Gazans consider Hamas "fighters for freedom"??

I don't think anyone truly knows. But, the fact no other Palestinian states/territories/countries will accept them, as I've said before... speaks volumes.

IMO the ultimate Godfather of the Axis of Evil is whichever Ayatollah rules Iran at any time.

As is often said, follow the money.

Iran is the supplier, the one-stop shop for all a terrorist’s needs.

This is a good approximation of Iran‘s actual policy. It isn’t that Iran should destroy Israel and expel its Jews, it’s that Iran should create the conditions that let the Palestinians do so. And along the way, of course, that Palestinians pay all the costs of that policy.

The "hostile power" that rules them is Hamas and thus ultimately the mullahs in Iran. And Iran cares nothing for the suffering of the Palestinian people other than that there suffering is good political clout for them. The rest of the Arab world gives lip service to the Palestinians but in reality does NOTHING to help the situation. Ironically, the only hope for a better life for Gazans is from the very people that they daily vow to murder: The Israelis.

The pro-P protesters should be protesting against Hamas and Iran.

ETA: Unless, of course, "freeing" Palestinians in Gaza isn't their real focus. Hmmm.

Israel's UN ambassador says war in Gaza can 'end tomorrow, even today, if Hamas returns all the hostages and turns in all the terrorists'

Israel's UN Ambassador Gilad Erdan said at the UN Security Council that the war in Gaza can "end tomorrow, even today, if Hamas returns all the hostages, and turns in all the terrorists that participated in the massacre" or October 7. He added that it is possible "to achieve a true cease-fire that could last decades."

Erdan accused the Arab ministers of supporting "a terror organization that aims to annihilate Israel."

"Anyone who supports a cease-fire basically supports Hamas continued reign of terror in Gaza. Hamas is a genocidal terror organization - they don't hide it - not a reliable partner for peace," Erdan told the Security Council.

Re treating Iran as an Arab country

I just would like to remind that Iran is not an Arab country.

Iran is former Persia.

Iranians are Persians.

They don't speak Arabic, but Persian.

High mountains have long been geographical boundaries. The mountains divided ancient Indo-European and Arabic groups.
Mountains = Persia & Anatolia (aka Turkey: Anatolia was Indo-European until the middle ages with the arrival of Seljuk Turks)
However, languages spoken in these regions are not Arabic and the people do not consider themselves Arabs.

Some Arab countries have mountains but they aren't barriers.

If any puppet government had power to do anything at all I think the first would be to cancel the blockades keeping the people in poverty.

If in power, then I would ask the people for a mandate to open crossings which will enable trade and commerce cross borders.

Farmers to be protected by a cordon sanitaire and perhaps even border patrols to protect them from incursions from armed criminals.

Re. the first bolded : The issue is that they are not in poverty. Videos of Gazans cheering and hitting the Israelis show well-fed and well-dressed people, and not one starving skeleton nor anyone in rags. They seem to have phones as well ?

Published Friday, Oct. 13th, 2023 ; " ... Afterward, others from the crowd spat and stomped on the Israeli hostages being brought into Gaza via Palestinian vehicles ...."

Second bolded : Israel and some former Gazan leaders have attempted a two state policy, but it continues to fail.
Sadly, most Gazans want Hamas.

It's possible that BN realizes that the demands by the Palestinians would be unfair at best, and dangerous for Israel and maybe that's why a two state solution hasn't materialized ?

“One of the biggest issues with the phrase ‘two-state solution’ is that it fails to address the very real threats against Israel that exist now, and will likely continue to exist, within certain segments of Palestinian society and elsewhere,” said Jason D. Greenblatt

Third bolded : The Israeli farmers who are on their own land/nation; and the farmers in Gaza -- need to both be safe from Hamas and their fellow terrorist groups, that I am in agreement with !

A short while ago, 17 Thai nationals who had returned from Hamas captivity left the Sheba Medical Center in an emotional farewell ceremony on their way to the airport and back home to Thailand.

Natural features make logical divides. Unfortunately colonial powers knew much better and set about drawing up maps which planted the seeds of much of the troubles now being experienced in the Middle East.

Video reportedly shows Palestinians around the cars transporting the hostages out of Gaza.
Thanks for the link ! ^^^

Infuriating.
Why are we giving 'aid' to people with the latest I-Phones ?
None of these folks look like they are in rags, frail and starving.
They're energized, shouting, and baying like an unhinged mob.
Stop the handouts !
We are being forced through tax dollars to aid terrorists.
