Palestinian Authority president speaks for the first time, calls for end to aggression

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has met Jordan's King Abdullah II and called for "an immediate end to the comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people".

It's the first time Abbas has publicly spoken since the surprise Hamas attack on Israel last Saturday morning.

According to a statement released by the president's office, Abbas rejected "practices related to killing civilians or abusing them on both sides".

The two leaders met in Amman to discuss "ways to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and deliver aid and relief" to Gaza.

According to the statement, he also stressed that Palestinians "renounce violence and adhere to international legitimacy" and said that the targeting of civilians by both Israeli forces and Palestinian militants "contravenes morals, religion and international law".

Abbas, the head of the West Bank-based Palestinian Authority (PA), is a bitter rival of Hamas. The militant group took control of Gaza in 2007, ejecting forces loyal to the then-governing PA and Abbas’s Fatah movement after a violent rift.

I just have to say, "neutralized" terrorists are really the best kind.
May this be repeated, until the psychopathic monsters are all gone.

Israeli newspaper reporting that the organizer of the Nova Rave thinks his FB was hacked a month ago. He began getting private messages in Arabic.
The way the rave was planned, you only received the location after you purchased your ticket. Israeli LE has his phone and are investigating.

DBM because it may be considered an opinion piece.

Written by former US Rep Steve Israel.
Google: "How to not let HAMAS win".

Thought it informative and was impressed with this paragraph:

This time, responsible Arab governments have to proceed under the recognition that Gaza must be rebuilt not as a terrorist training base, but as a fit place for innocent Palestinians to live. This time, the Arab world has an opportunity to demonstrate to its own streets that Islamicist terror will bring them down, while normalcy and cooperation will build them back up. Those are the images that win hearts and minds.

Also my prayer....

Others will appear.
Under different name.
Under different flag.

Only true efforts to reach peaceful co-existence have sense IMO.

There is no other way.

For the children!!!!!!

Hamas leader: 1,200 members of al-Qassam Brigades entered Israel

The Hamas leader repeated claims that the terrorist movement did not target civilians in Israel.

It should be noted that Hams makes no differentiation between military and civilians and has expressly state that women and children are legitimate military targets.

Lisa O'Carroll

The EU has sent a second missive to Elon Musk, owner of X, formerly Twitter, over the alleged spread of illegal “terrorist and violent content” on the platform in the wake of Hamas’s attack on Israel on Saturday.

The letter comes just hours after X chief executive Linda Yaccarinoresponded to a letter two days ago giving it 24 hours to demonstrate how it was complying with new laws that make platform owners responsible for their content in the EU.

Those that don’t face a fine or a complete ban in the EU.

EU commissioner Thierry Breton gave X two deadlines to return with evidence and warns that if it is not satisfied it can launch formal proceedings under the Digital Services Act which came into force in August.

Yaccarino told Breton X had taken down “hundreds of Hamas affiliated accounts” and responded to 80 take down notices from within the EU since the conflict erupted in Israel.

Well this is sad. He had a chance to stand a stand to the unprovoked attacks on innocent civilians and he instead makes a statement like this including what Israel is doing now as somehow part of the problem. The problem was Hamas attacked. Israel is defending themselves and a leader of the Palestinian people had a chance to really speak the truth and present a united front with Israel and instead the statement is Abbas rejected "practices related to killing civilians or abusing them on both sides".. One is not like the other.. one is intentionally seeking out those innocent people and going behind harming them to something else.. the other is collateral damage that is a direct result of the invasion Israel experienced.

Everyone tip toeing around THE issue. When will these leaders actually lead and stand up to terrorism and demand it be eradicated so every country and every person no matter their religion or what their heritage is can live in peace?

In this case, I kinda think he's been more than "neutralized". Don't think he's capable of committing future terrorist acts.

The floor is full of blood, says Gaza hospital doctor

1697137125125.png

BBC

A doctor at Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza says there are no beds for the injured and whole families of wounded patients are lying on the floor.

Speaking to BBC News earlier, Dr Mohamad Matar said: "The worst problem we have now is lack of supplies – we are running out of supplies in every way."

Dr Matar explained that in his nine years as a doctor in Gaza, he "watched many of the escalations, the wars between Israel and Palestinians" but said that this one was "much, much different".

My friends in the theatres have to choose between the patients - which one is more likely to survive?"

Almost all injured people are lying on the floor, the floor is full of blood, materials."
He added: "Most of the casualties I receive are civilians. Many are children, women. No-one understands what is going on here".

This shock surpassed even that of the Yom Kippur War since it came from a smaller terror group than Hezbollah, not a sovereign state.
