I don't know if Hamas are pawns of anyone. They originate from the Muslim Brotherhood. They are sunni but have received lots of support from Iran regardless.

From watching the Gaza life stream it seems as though HAMAS missile launching has diminished over the last 24 hours?

Is this being verified?

Could they be saving them all for a possible invasion?

The IDF said that, yes. But not because they’re running low. Simply to make the missiles last longer now that they see its going to take time.

I don't know how many other Muslim sects are out there.

ETA: I don't think Muslims get along within their own religion AND the Muslim faith has been the fastest growing religion for years.

Yes, the Hamas charter does not allow anyone to speak against it.

What a truly sad existence they all must live. They sign up for a group that believes in eradicating another population entirely just because, they don't believe in peace, only want war and you can't speak against it either.

It's sad. It is a lack of hope. What a bleak existence to find strength in doing damage to others simply because they are of a different belief then you. Existing only to cause harm to others in order to feel successful?

And one day they sent in thousands of rockets on our southern border, and thousands of armed invaders on paragliders, and motorcycles and armed pickup trucks, which began killing families, kidnapping and raping women, killing babies, setting fires, and live-streaming the carnage?

I have no doubt that we'd bomb the He!! outta Tijuana---there'd be many civilian casualties but what else could we do in response? You cannot let your enemies think that you would not respond in kind. JMO

`I sure hope that Hamas isn't putting it's own people in harms way because they know where the missiles are going. Israel is warning them to seek shelter, but what if it looks really good for Hamas to have plenty of women and children in the very places they know are going to be attacked. The point of warning them is give them time to seek cover. It sure would seem to get a lot of sympathy for Hamas if Israel was killing women and children. I wonder if a ground invasion is just the only way to ensure minimal deaths to the most vulnerable. I think it's more risky for the soldiers being asked to go in for sure, but there seems to be not level too low for Hamas to stoop. I'm concerned they are actually putting their own women and children in harms way to gather support for their cause by boasting the awful numbers.

The subtext appears to be that Hamas allies Iran and the Lebanese group Hezbollah were not involved in Saturday’s surprise and merciless assault on Israel by militants breaking out of Gaza to launch their attack.

Egypt urges Israel to stop air strikes near Rafah crossing​

Egypt has asked Israel to stop air strikes near the Rafah border crossing - which lies between Gaza and Egypt - after raids prevented normal operations there.

In a statement published earlier today on Facebook, the foreign ministry said the crossing remained open, but facilities on the Palestinian side had been "destroyed as a result of the repeated Israeli bombing, preventing it from operating normally".

It said countries and organisations can transport aid to Al-Arish International Airport in northern Sinai - and called for an end to air strikes so it could be repaired and function as a "lifeline" for Palestinians in Gaza,
