What we have experience in Israel isn’t an episode of Fauda.

These are real life events in which children have been burned alive.

Holocaust survivors kidnapped.

Entire families murdered.

Israel-Hamas war live updates: Gaza hit with more shelling as Israel defends evacuation order (nbcnews.com)
10m ago / 11:18 AM PDT

“No migration from Gaza, no migration from the West Bank. No migration from Gaza to Egypt,” he said.

RSBM.

What am I missing. Israel hasn't called for any migration or deportation out of Gaza. They've told Palestinians within northern Gaza to evacute to southern Gaza for their own protection.

More Hamas propaganda.

IDF attacks several Hezbollah targets in Lebanon

The Israeli Defense Forces attacked several Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, according to IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari.

"Aircraft, artillery and tanks of the IDF attacked earlier today several military infrastructures of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in Lebanese territory," Hagari wrote on his X account.

The attack was in response "to launches towards the territory of the State of Israel earlier today," according to Hagari.

I apologize for my comment being misunderstood. I'm not referring to beat police, LE. I'm referring to a style of military interaction that is focused on different goals and tactics than traditional military combat. It's ok. Nevermind.
I understood what you were trying to say. :) I wish this were possible, but I think until Israel has any kind of upper hand inside Gaza this won't be possible. Right now they have no idea who is the enemy and who is not. The enemy they are facing is disguising itself. They came into Israel wearing IDF uniforms. They are hiding their operations centers and weapons under schools and hospitals. They are telling innocent people to stay put, they are blocking them from leaving. At this point, the only real action I think that can happen is military action. Israel taking out the supplies of weapons, leaders, and operating centers will cause havoc for HAMAS so then Israel can hopefully go in on the ground and conduct those type of police operations you might be referring to.

Rocket sirens sound in two northern towns

Incoming rocket sirens are sounding in the northern town of Alma, near the Lebanon border, and in Avnei Eitan, in the Golan Heights, close to the border with Syria.

The alerts comes as Israel has traded fire with Hezbollah and allied Palestinian factions several times in Lebanon in recent days.

''Sitriya, Israel—Canadian-Israeli Shir Georgy, missing since last Saturday when she fled the Supernova rave where hundreds of partygoers were killed by rampaging Hamas gunmen, has been confirmed dead, her family says.
Georgy’s father, Romen, was awoken in the middle of the night by Israeli security forces early Saturday. They told him the DNA he had submitted had been matched to human remains recovered from the kibbutz Be’eri, where Georgy and other partygoers had sought shelter.
Later in the day, he drove out to the military morgue at the Shura base outside Tel Aviv, to confirm the identification.''

Live updates: Israel-Hamas war rages as Palestinian death toll in Gaza rises (cnn.com)

“Streets are filled with rubble and reek of blood,” Palestinian journalist says

Palestinians who fled south and those who are still in the north are rapidly running out of food and water.

There is no more electricity, and those with fuel-powered generators will soon live in complete blackout. Internet access, through which residents communicate their plight to the world, is also shrinking.

Mohamed Hamed, 36, of Gaza City, moved southward to Nuseirat, a refugee camp some five kilometers northeast of Deir al-Balah, which he was told was safe.

Hamed fled with 30 family members, including his extended relatives, four children and his wife, who is over eight months pregnant.

“In this situation, we’re afraid that she goes into labor, and we wouldn’t know where to go,” he told CNN.

The family has no access to medical care and are crammed into an apartment.

“There is no electricity, there is no water. Bakeries are working but these are their final hours, as the fuel they need is running out,” he said, adding “the food we have may last us a day or two.”

Not everyone in Gaza’s north has heeded the Israel Defense Forces' call to move southward. Palestinian journalist Hashem Al-Saudi,33, and his family have only moved from east to west of Gaza City.

Residents are forced to leave their homes to fill up water tanks, he told CNN by phone, which puts them at risk of being struck by Israeli missiles.

Al-Saudi said not only do they have nowhere to stay if they moved south, but the route itself is unsafe. “Even those who moved south were hit by airstrikes,” he told CNN.

CNN has geolocated and authenticated five videos from the scene of a large explosion Friday along a route for civilians south of Gaza City, which Israel said the following day would be safe. CNN has reached out to IDF for comment on any airstrikes in the same location.

“The situation is much worse than what you see on television,” he said. Many bodies remain unidentified, and corpses are being stored in refrigerators not made for storing human remains, Al-Saudi said.

“Streets are filled with rubble and reek of blood.”

Israel preparing for lengthy offensive

The statement released by the Israeli army is the most detailed yet about its preparations for a ground assault.

It basically says that its forces are still getting ready but makes it clear this will be a massive - and potentially lengthy - operation.

It says the army is now at a "critical juncture" after regaining control of all the Israeli territory that was overrun by Hamas.

But much of the focus is on the vast scale of the logistics involved for a "comprehensive offensive" by land, sea and air.

"This involves the establishment of forward logistics centres to streamline the equipment supply process, enabling our troops to equip themselves efficiently," a statement says.

That suggests they are still getting a system in place to supply forces at the front once they go in. And that's been a huge operation, involving the biggest call up of reservists in 50 years.

US lawmaker: Israel has indicated it will allow food, water, medicine into Gaza

A US lawmaker tells The Times of Israel that Israeli officials have indicated to them that they will allow food, water and medicine into Gaza after imposing a siege on the enclave, as Israel appears to be gearing up for a ground operation to destroy Hamas.

The US lawmaker clarifies that Israel has not committed to letting in electricity and fuel supplies into Gaza, which are not covered by the same rules under law of armed conflict.

I still believe we should try to preserve cities, homes, infrastructure, etc. Condemn and punish the criminals, not the country nor the citizens. Treating these situations as a war against a nation of people only breeds hostility, divisiveness and aggression. I still prefer it the old fashioned way with peace talks and helping countries rebuild. It's amazing to see how Europe, including Germany, was allowed to recover so productively after WWII. Same with Japan. Our grandparents and gr-grandparents saw things differently and they were right. JMO
Hamas has tunnels and bunkers under homes, hospitals, schools ect. Terrorists generally use citizens as shields.

I'm thinking citizens of Japan and Germany had it much, much worse than the Palestinians do. Japanese causalities in WWII were between 2.5 and 3.1 MILLION, Germany around 5 Million.

This war has just started. I'm positive Gaza will be rebuilt and they might actually have pipes for plumbing instead of weapons this time.

At least 1 dead and 11 wounded in Hamas attacks overnight, Israeli health organization says

Israel's only national blood and medical emergency service, Magen David Adom (MDA), has treated 12 casualties from Hamas attacks between late Friday and Saturday, according to a statement from the organization.

One of those wounded, a 20-year-old, has died. The injuries suffered by the other people treated by MDA ranged in cause from rocket shrapnel to stress.

The service's teams remain on high alert Saturday across the country and have deployed around 1,400 ambulances, including bulletproof vehicles, as well as "ambulances and mobile intensive care units (MICUs) that arrived from the United States."

MDA helicopters are also providing support, having already "undertaken dozens of medevac missions and evacuated multiple civilian and (Israel Defense Forces) casualties."

MDA helicopters are also providing support, having already "undertaken dozens of medevac missions and evacuated multiple civilian and IDF casualties to Sheba Tel Hashomer, Beilinson, Ichilov, Shamir Assaf Harofe, Shaare Zedek, and Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital."

Spokesperson Zaki Heller said that on Friday night, "three MDA ambulances were damaged by Hamas fire in different locations," adding that they are working to get "them back in service to continue saving lives."

The MDA spokesperson highlighted that over 22,000 blood donations from volunteer donors have been collected by the MDA's Blood Services, helping hospitals across Israel treat the victims.
