This is what Hamas is teaching children... and has been teaching for years. Beyond comprehension.
This.
Gazans have had 18 years to raise a new generation of successful adults.
18 years since Israel disengaged from the Gaza strip, pulled out 25 Israeli settlements, But instead, Hamas has been raising martyrs. Instilling hate in the Gazans and spending every penny on terror campaigns.

Is there a strong Dutch presence in Lebanon or is Holland just signaling concern about more potential conflict?
I think the concern is about more potential conflict.

Reuter's released this story a couple of hours ago:

JERUSALEM, Oct 15 (Reuters) - Israel's defence minister said on Sunday that Israel has no interest in waging war on its northern front and that if the Lebanese group Hezbollah restrains itself then Israel will keep the situation along the border as it is.

After meeting Egypt’s President Abdel-Fatah El Sisi, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the Rafah Border crossing between Egypt and Gaza will open: “We have put in place, Egypt has put in place, a lot of material support for people in Gaza. And Rafah will be will be open.”

The Israel Defense Forces says it is carrying out new airstrikes against targets belonging to the Hezbollah terror group in Lebanon.

The IDF says further details will be provided soon.

The strikes come after the terror group launched at least six anti-tank guided missiles at an Israeli town and a number of military posts on the Lebanon border earlier today.

There was also rocket fire claimed by Hamas from Hezbollah-controlled southern Lebanon.

I think it is a direct result of extreme poverty in the Gaza strip. Young people turn to violence against others. It is the gang mentality being exploited by adult terrorists.

I’m grateful I was able to participate in the national (American) shiva for the Israelis.

The prayers, the songs, the stories from family members, and the pictures of the lost continually in the background. I hope it brought comfort to those who mourn.

I’m not on Facebook but was able to watch on Facebook Live.

May their memories be for a blessing.

Am Yisrael Chai!
(Hebrew..it means the people of Israel live).
I am grateful, as well.
Hearing different family members is really heart breaking.
So much sadness and grief.

The extreme poverty is due to the Hamas regime spending the money to sponsor terrorism instead of infrastructure, education and so on.

A second aircraft carrier group is on its way.

WASHINGTON, Oct 15 (Reuters) - Top U.S. officials warned on Sunday that the war between Israel and the militant group Hamas could escalate into a bigger conflict across the Middle East, saying they were worried the Lebanese group Hezbollah could attack Israel's north or that Iran might get involved.

Another set of U.S. warships was headed to the region in a show of force meant to prevent such escalation.

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced deployment of a second carrier group late on Saturday, calling it a sign of "our resolve to deter any state or non-state actor seeking to escalate this war." The aircraft carrier the USS Dwight Eisenhower will join a small fleet including the massive USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier in the eastern Mediterranean.

Indoctrination against Israel is taught in elementary school, they grow up with this hatred of Israel and the Jewish people.

Israelis have become united against Hamas. In this photo, people gather and light candles to remember the victims who were murdered by Hamas terrorists, at Dizengoff Square in Tel Aviv. Tomer Neuberg/Flash90

IDF says it killed senior Hamas commander in southern Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces says it has struck and killed a senior Hamas commander in the Gaza Strip.

The IDF says Muataz Eid, the head of the terror group’s national security southern district, was killed in an airstrike following intelligence efforts by the Shin Bet security agency and Military Intelligence Directorate.

The military says it has struck more than 250 targets throughout the Gaza Strip today, mostly in its north.

The targets have included Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad military headquarters, observation posts and several rocket launching sites, according to the IDF.

And, once again, the onus is put on the US to solve a problem with Arabic people who are getting a pittance of support from other Arab nations. The US taxpayer would be farther in the hole for the loan funds that ahre not being paid.

The cost of a jet filled with medical supplies is probably less than what a Saudi Princess buys from London and Paris boutiques in a week.

Where is the Arab League funding a refugee camp?

A great comment from the Daily Telegraph article: "The Arab nations who are awash with oil money never put a dollar forward to support the Palestinians. They're entirely too happy to let them suffer. The Palestinians are in this mess because their leadership committed atrocious acts of terrorism, just once their lives, perhaps Saudi Arabia etc could step up to the plate and help the hapless population, remove Hamas who are responsible and work with Israel and the US to find a just and lasting peace."
Peace is expensive and takes constant vigilance. Worth the money, time, and effort, imo.

Interesting looking rocket.
That's an Air Burst Artillery Shell (vice an HE round fired from a tank etc).

Contrary to popular belief, most artillery actually explodes above the ground vice once making contact with the ground --- often used to take out 'soft' (ie: people/infantry/Hamas Terrorists in this case) on the 'opposing' ground which would allow for an advance of 'friendly' infantry into the zone following the artillery. There are other reasons to use it too of course.

I did not know that. Never know what I'm going to learn on WS. (Not a big fan of learning about weapons, tbh, but here we are.)

Peace cannot be based on anything other than Justice.

The Romans used to say:

"Opus iustitiae pax"

"There can be no Peace between people without Justice"

IMO :)

Israel halts security exports to Colombia as president likens IDF to Nazis

Israel announces that it is halting security exports to Colombia after President President Gustavo Petro likened the Israeli military to Nazis when asked to condemn the Hamas onslaught.

The Foreign Ministry summons Colombian ambassador Margarita Manjarez for a dressing down in the wake of Petro’s comments.

“At the meeting, it was made clear to the ambassador that her president’s statements were received in Israel with shock given Hamas’s barbaric terrorist attack, in which more than 1,300 Israelis were murdered and over 150 innocent civilians were kidnapped,” says spokesperson Lior Hayat.

Israel condemns the president’s statements, which constitute support for the horrific acts of Hamas terrorists, inflame antisemitism, harm representatives of the State of Israel, and threaten the safety of the Jewish community in Colombia. As the first measure taken in response, Israel decided to stop security exports to Colombia,” Hayat says.
