BBC's Jeremy Bowen, on air in UK rn

BBC's premier reporter from all conflicts now - incorrectly - getting criticised for his reporting on the hospital strike.
I listened to his original report - he did not attribute the hospital attack to the IDF

Re press briefing by Daniel Hagari,

Here is how Reuters has summarised the key claim of the IDF in this briefing, writing:

A military spokesperson told journalists that there was no structural damage to buildings around the Al-Ahli al-Arabi hospital and no craters consistent with an air strike.
The spokesperson accused Hamas of inflating the number of casualties from the explosion and said it (Hamas) could not know as quickly as it claimed what caused the blast.

no structural damage is clear from photos

OTOH I wish both sides would also not round-up numbers. I've seen a lot of numbers ending with X00 quoted over last few days

Press briefing by Daniel Hagari

'First, we confirmed that there was no IDF fire by land, sea or air that hit the hospital.

Second, our radar system tracked rockets fired by terrorists from within Gaza at the time of the explosion. I will show you the trajectory analysis from the barrage of rockets confirms that the rockets were fired close proximity to the hospital.

In addition there are two independent videos which show the failure of the rocket launch and the continued continuation of rocket flight towards the ground with in the Gaza Strip falling in the hospital compound.

Third, we have intelligence, some that will be shared here, of communication between terrorists talking about rockets misfiring. The terrorists realise that the rocket has misfired and made specific reference to the al-Ahli al-Arabi hospital.'

Hargari also read-out a translation of what is purported to be a conversation between terrorists

Bolding mine.
Those in the embassy might want to consider leaving for their own safety, if this gets worse ?

People are losing control of themselves -- over what might have been a rocket from Iran's Revolutionary guard, or a failed Hamas rocket.
Instead of attacking, committing arson, and putting up the Palestinian flag ; the protesters in Lebanon could instead start buying and packaging up food, water, and medical supplies and mail it to Gaza.
Something helpful and constructive ?
Omo.

I believe these people may not be always acting spontaneously. Often, they are instigated, with a long plan - "the worse for the US, the better for us." I wouldn't be surprised at all if they want to provoke US.

(Wow that got me teary when they hugged)

Any chance they were waiting for Biden to arrive before moving tanks in? Kind of like “We’re going in, AND we’ve got the US behind us with the President on the ground”…extra show of solidarity kind of thing…just a thought. :)

“And the British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak could be the next leader to visit Israel later on this week after Joe Biden. Rishi Sunak’s trip is to be part of a broader trip to the region which includes possible stops including Jordan and Egypt following the path set by Joe Biden.”

* I honestly feel very proud of this USA leadership and show of solidarity right now. And a little bit hopeful, more hopeful than I was feeling earlier.

This misfire is really working out well for Hamas.
We know they don’t give a poop about the Gazans. Use them as human shields. Deny them basic human necessities.
OOPSIES! The rocket misfires and the world is enraged at Israel.
All the focus has turned to this hospital catastrophe.
They couldn’t have planned it better.

This enraged world is full of so-called refugees, mostly young men who the world leaders let in, in millions, without any adequate vetting. Now the world, of course, is afraid of own newcomers because, as this very summer has shown, they can burn cars and make explosions in own quarters.

Tomorrow there will be more shouts of enragement.

Consider this, not only Jewish people travel to Israel. Lots of Christians do, to follow via Dolorosa. My husband and son, not ethnically Jewish, once went to Israel (I refused - we already had the previous experience of buying tickets to Israel and canceling them due to Hamas-organized "election war". But this time, my guys wanted to "swim in three seas", so they tried again). They rented a car and drove all around. Met a lot of Americans on their way, befriended some guys from Utah. Not every traveller to Israel is Jewish. Not everyone comes on "birth rights", not everyone serves in Israeli army. It is a popular tourist destination. And how many go to Israel and then, to Petra? I was trying to imagine my family choosing to do it today and God forbid, some jihadists abducting them because little do they care? My point is - we forget how many foreigners have been kidnapped, too. How much pressure on Israel comes from the relatives, from the international community... I wish the Israeli intelligence could trace the money paid to Hamas, by all interested parties. And - one stray rocket can fall everywhere during the war, regardless of who launches it. But who started this war? Hamas, and those standing behind it.
