THIS should NOT be happening. :(:(
It should not be happening. Freedom of Speech should not go so far as to use paint on buildings to identify someone's religion during war.

Statement From Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III on Steps to Increase Force Posture

Oct. 21, 2023 |

Following detailed discussions with President Biden on recent escalations by Iran and its proxy forces across the Middle East Region, today I directed a series of additional steps to further strengthen the Department of Defense posture in the region. These steps will bolster regional deterrence efforts, increase force protection for U.S. forces in the region, and assist in the defense of Israel.

First, I redirected the movement of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group to the Central Command area of responsibility. This carrier strike group is in addition to the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group, which is currently operating in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. It will further increase our force posture and strengthen our capabilities and ability to respond to a range of contingencies.

I have also activated the deployment of a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery as well as additional Patriot battalions to locations throughout the region to increase force protection for U.S. forces.

Finally, I have placed an additional number of forces on prepare to deploy orders as part of prudent contingency planning, to increase their readiness and ability to quickly respond as required.

I will continue to assess our force posture requirements in the region and consider deploying additional capabilities as necessary.

That includes the woman from Eastern Canada who refused to believe that Hamas tortured, raped, and murdered 1400 people in a few hours. She seems like someone who believes what she is told to believe <modsnip>.
My favorite is the kalashnikov earrings.

From the article:

For the first time since taking control of the Gaza Strip in 2007, the Hamas movement is deviating from the approved Palestinian Authority curriculum, using the new texts as part of a broader push to infuse the next generation with its militant ideology.

IDF flyers warn Palestinians in Gaza to evacuate south or possibly be considered “a partner for the terrorist organization”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has dropped flyers in the Sabrah neighborhood of Gaza City that urgently warn residents to evacuate to the south or face the possibility of being considered "a partner for the terrorist organization,” according to a CNN translation.

The flyer reads in Arabic:

Urgent warning!
To the residents of Gaza Strip
Your presence north of Wadi Gaza puts your life in danger
Everyone who choses not to evacuate from the north of the strip to the south of Wadi Gaza might be considered as a partner for the terrorist organization.
Israel Defense Forces

The IDF confirmed it had dropped the flyers in a statement, adding there was "no intention to consider those who have not evacuated from the affected area of fighting as a member of the terrorist group."

The IDF "treats civilians as such, and does not target them," the statement said.

The IDF told CNN that the translation of the flyer from Arabic that “has spread online” was imprecise, but it did not elaborate.

The United Nations has said that the Israeli order to evacuate the entire population of northern Gaza, which is approximately 1.1 million people, is "impossible" without causing major humanitarian consequences.

There are currently 2.2 million people in Gaza.

The IDF said they continue to urge residents in northern Gaza to evacuate “for their own safety.”

The Devastation of Be’eri

In one day, Hamas militants massacred, tortured, and abducted residents of a kibbutz, leaving their homes charred and their community in ruins.

Israel did not strike Al-Ahli hospital, Canada says

Canada’s defence department has said Israel was not behind the Al-Ahli hospital strike in Gaza.

Reuters quoted the department as saying in statement:

Analysis conducted independently by the Canadian Forces Intelligence Command indicates with a high degree of confidence that Israel did not strike the Al-Ahli hospital on 17 October 2023.

The strike was more likely caused by an errant rocket fired from Gaza, the National Department of Defence said, based on analysis of open source and classified reporting.

Health authorities in the Hamas-ruled enclave originally put the death toll at 471. The US intelligence community later reportedly estimated there were likely 100 to 300 people killed, while saying the assessment may evolve.

If Hamas wants to release more pretty teenage girls from the USA, I think it's meaningless. I want to see Israeli babies released.
It isn’t meaningless to their families. Every life is precious to the people who love them. :(

''Defence Minister Bill Blair says that after an independent review by the Canadian military, Ottawa has a “high degree of confidence” that Israel did not strike the al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City on Tuesday.

A statement from Blair says Canada believes the more likely scenario is that the strike was caused by an errant rocket fired from Hamas-controlled Gaza.

The pronouncement from Ottawa comes days after the United States said its own review found that Israel was not responsible, with President Joe Biden saying during a visit to Israel that he was confident the “other team” bore responsibility.''

Who is the government in Gaza since 2006? Is it the UN or Hamas?

I am confused. Since when does the UN have the right to enter countries to review education curriculum?

Has the UN reviewed the Gaza curriculum between 2006 and 2023?
I've posted links multiple times. The Palestinians on Gaza are civilian refugees. The UN has provided humanitarian assistance around the globe for many decades and it includes education, health care, etc.

WHO ARE PALESTINE REFUGEES?

Palestine refugees are defined as “persons whose normal place of residence was Palestine during the period 1 June 1946 to 15 May 1948, and who lost both home and means of livelihood as a result of the 1948 conflict.”

UNRWA services are available to all those living in its area of operations who meet this definition, who are registered with the Agency and who need assistance. The descendants of Palestine refugee males, including adopted children, are also eligible for registration. When the Agency began operations in 1950, it was responding to the needs of about 750,000 Palestine refugees. Today, some 5.9 million Palestine refugees are eligible for UNRWA services.

WHERE DO PALESTINE REFUGEES LIVE?

Nearly one-third of the registered Palestine refugees, more than 1.5 million individuals, live in 58 recognized Palestine refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon, the Syrian Arab Republic, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

US activates air defense systems across Mideast, citing ‘escalations’ by Iran and its proxies

The Pentagon moves to step up its military readiness in the Middle East, ordering the activation of air defense systems “throughout” the region and alerting additional US forces that they may be deployed soon.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin says in a statement that the moves are in response to “recent escalations by Iran and its proxy forces across the Middle East.”

[...]

“I will continue to assess our force posture requirements in the region and consider deploying additional capabilities as necessary,” he says, adding that the moves follow “detailed discussions” with US President Joe Biden.

The announcement also comes after Austin again spoke with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, amid the ongoing war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas.

“The secretary thanked Minister Gallant for Israel’s role in facilitating the October 21 humanitarian convoy into Gaza and reiterated the importance of protecting civilians,” said a statement from the Pentagon. “The two leaders also discussed the continued provision of security assistance and the US commitment to deter any state or non-state actor seeking to escalate this war.”

Hamas fugitive who 'ran terror group's operations in the West Bank' lives in council property in North London borough home to roughly fifth of UK's Jewish community, report reveals

  • Muhammad Qassem Sawalha managed to steer clear of Israel's security services using a relative's passport, according to a report
  • He left for the UK in the 1990s, before later gaining British citizenship

“The reality is Hamas is many things. While it runs Gaza’s health service, it is also a sinister organisation committed to the mass murder of Israelis. It administers the education service while its police have broken the bones of children caught wearing scarfs signalling family affiliation with the rival Fatah movement.
It runs the courts while, during the 2014 Gaza war, its forces abducted, tortured and murdered Palestinians accused of “collaborating” with Israel and others. It is unavoidably part of the fabric of the life in Gaza.”

Noting:

In 2019, Sawalha met Vladimir Putin's deputy foreign minister at an official Hamas delegation to Moscow. He served on Hamas's politburo from 2013 to 2017 and he was photographed with the group's leader, Ismail Haniyeh, in 2010 and 2012.

In 2009, Sawalha signed a declaration that commended Allah for having 'routed the Zionist Jews', made a plea for weapons to be sent to Gaza, and demanded a 'Third Jihadist Front' be set up in Palestine, alongside Afghanistan and Iraq.

  • Hezbollah is firing at military AND CIVILIANS.
  • As in Gaza, they are firing from villages, houses, and populated areas.
  • So far, IDF's response has been refined. That is SO FAR.
  • They have struck various Hezbollah infrastructure.
  • Hezbollah is playing a very, very dangerous game.
  • They are escalating the situation steadily every day.
  • It should be noted that Israel has not been aggressing along the blue line.
  • Hezbollah is the one who is aggressing.
  • The IDF has evacuated many communities along the northern border.
  • They are asking Gazan's to evacuate south...
Short update, and I still missed a lot!

Israel-Hamas war live: Strikes on Gaza to increase from today, Israeli spokesperson says (theguardian.com)

Israeli commanders have visited frontline units to rally troops who have massed on the border with Gaza pending an anticipated ground assault.

“We will enter Gaza,” chief of staff Lieut Gen Herzi Halevi told one infantry brigade on a visit on Saturday, Agence France-Presse reports.

“Gaza is densely populated, the enemy is preparing a lot of things there – but we are also preparing for them,” Halevi said.

A ground invasion poses myriad challenges for Israeli troops, who are likely to be confronted by Hamas booby traps and tunnels in a densely packed urban environment.

The safety of more than 200 hostages abducted by Hamas on October 7 and held in Gaza is another complicating factor.
