CNN is talking about the Alaska Airlines pilot who tried to bring down his plane, <modsnip>
I don’t know the details but seeing that it all happened here at PNW, my bet is, it is not about the Middle East. My first guess would be, the guy is going through divorce, or something along these lines.

"The audience was not allowed to record the compilation but one excerpt, approximately one minute long, was released to the public: it showed Hamasmilitants flagging down a car as it drove slowly along a rural road. The gunmen open fire, hitting the vehicle, which swerved and halted, revealing two people slumped in the front seats"

CNN says the released hostages are 79 and 80 years old.

I am profoundly grateful they won’t die in Gaza at the hands of Hamas.

So thankful their families can have peace now and the women can have medical care.

IMO the young have to be released, of course, because they are the most vulnerable. They are also the future, and Hamas does not want a future with Jews in it, but they did release the 17- year old.

I don’t think anything Hamas does is humanitarian, after all they are the ones who kidnapped and abused them. But even if it’s just a practical matter for Hamas, they must all come home unharmed!

IMO

All sorts of international upheavals going on ...

I can't find any reports of Putin's heart attack besides in this link.
Surely it's news.
Did he manage to claim it's false and rumor in order to not appear vulnerable?

SYRIA – On the morning of Oct. 23, 2023, the U.S. military destroyed two one-way attack drones near U.S. and Coalition forces in southwest Syria before they reached their intended targets. There are no casualties or damage.

In this moment of heightened alert, we are vigilantly monitoring the situation in the region and will take necessary and proportionate action to defend U.S. and Coalition forces.

I hear ya! I think many of us--who grew up in a country that embraces religious and cultural diversity--are naive when it comes to foreign countries and their customs.

No I meant, I always trusted Israel.

Then about 10-15 years ago, just some stuff....

Nor I. All outlets seem to be using 'allegedly' and using the same source.

Interesting thing is that I can't find anything yet where the Kremlin has put out anything to confirm/deny the rumours which is weird.

If true, perhaps the trip to the Situation Room.

Going off the reports coming out via Xitter and telegram that I'm seeing, Biden's trip to the Situation Room is most likely related to the series of attacks currently happening at US bases throughout the mid east.

According to CNN, the United States has intelligence that Iran-backed militias are planning to "ramp up" attacks on U.S. positions in the Middle East. One U.S. official in the region told CNN, "There are red lights flashing everywhere,"

I was hoping it was about the 50 hostages...
Oh well, a girl can dream

I don't think she's on drugs; she's just a 'true believer'; there are, unfortunately a great many of them spread throughout the world these days.

Side Note: Marijuana is legal in this country though.
She doesn't look high to me at all. She looks invested in her hateful idealogy, and stone cold sober.
Which is even worse.

Releasing 2 hostages every couple of days is probably a tactic to stall for time.

It was too good to be true. Part of the newsfeed, so links are goofy.

Larger hostage deal said held up by fuel demand

The Wall Street Journal reports that talks over the release of 50 hostages holding dual citizenship hit a snag Monday over the issue of fuel deliveries into the Gaza Strip, which Israel opposes.
