If they really wanted to help the people of Gaza, they'd first let the foreign people through, those trapped at the border waiting to be repatriated, and then they'd either provide sufficient humanitarian aid or allow immigration from Gaza. But even other Muslim countries won't allow the Palestinians in. They don't seem to want them there, which is the most logical solution.
Emphasis mine.
There are ... reasons.
Most likely it's been tried and the results were not good ?

Ita.
The Palestinian people need to rise up and say "No more".
This suffering is at the hands of their gov't., Hamas.
It's not going to stop ... until the people have had enough and reject everything that's causing them hardship.
Omo.
How are they supposed to stand up to terrorists? They'll get killed.

Oct 25, 2023 #IDF #Israel #HamasAttack
The Israeli military invited journalists, including NBC News, to view footage of the Oct. 7 terror attack. The IDF also released Hamas video of the attack on the Supernova music festival exclusively to NBC News. NBC News’ Raf Sanchez describes some of what he saw in the 46 minutes of raw footage.

WARNING: This story contains distressing details.Israeli Defence Forces held a special briefing for foreign journalists, which included never-before-seen footage from the Oct. 7 Hamas attack. Graeme Wood, a Canadian journalist with The Atlantic, witnessed the briefing and said the videos show 'pure predatory sadism, and no effort to spare those who pose no threat.'

The Israeli military has released a chilling audio conversation between a purported Hamas militant and his family in which the Palestinian fighter is heard boasting about killing 10 people during the October 7 massacre. The audio conversation appears to be from the day of Hamas’ assault on Israel on October 7.
In the second clip, at 5:33, he describes the massacre participant who enthusiastically phoned his parents to brag that he killed 10 civilians. His father sounds somewhat enthusiastic, his mother might be confused. The reporter says that everyone who is in the social circle of the terrorists is diminished.

I find that observation interesting, because the parents are diminished by being in their son's world, but they instilled values and provided education to their son - making him the man he is today.

For 19 days our civilians have been under rocket fire from Hamas.

Millions of Israelis are running back and forth to bomb shelters.

The difference her is that Israel targets Hamas headquarters or bunker/enclaves ; while Hamas targets ordinary citizens where they know there are no military installations.
This is not a 'fair' fight.
It is not Israel's fault that human shields may be used.
The people of Gaza had time to leave from the first day of the attack on Israel.
The deaths are at Hamas' hands and the Gazans need to rebel !
Hamas are persecuting their own people.

Exactly.

They're already being killed by Hamas' placing civilians in areas where they are hunkered down, so to speak.
They need to fight any attempt to be used as cannon fodder, aka human shields.
Hamas doesn't care about them -- why should they let Hamas kill them and their families by placing rocket launchers, etc., next to kindergartens and mosques ?

Hamas may fight until every last resident of Gaza is dead, and that's beyond horrifying.

Yes. This seems to be insignificant.
Hamas is sending rockets over Israel all day and night. If you sign up for RedAlerts you can see (and be up all night). Hamas is, also, holding 220 Israeli and foreign hostages. Elderly, ill, women, men, kids, babies.

Yes, that's why I said difficult.
Israel has to eliminate Hamas and it's sad that the terrorists are using human shields.
Which is why their deaths are ultimately at the hands of Hamas.
Israel is targeting terrorist strongholds , even 'refugee camps' that are actually high rise buildings that could be the headquarters of many terrorists.

Israel gave them time to evacuate, they even dropped leaflets.
If Hamas isn't letting them leave --which it sounds like this might be happening -- then Hamas are the murderers, not Israel.
It's sad for the children who have no choice.
Omo.
BBM. The air strikes have been on civilians who DID EVACUATE, and their families were in safe houses in refugee camps. There is no evidence whatsoever that Hamas was anywhere near them.

Nasser Abu Quta said 19 members of his family including his wife were killed when an air raid hit their home, where they were huddling on the ground floor in Rafah.

There were no fighters in his building, he said. “This is a safe house, with children and women,” the 57-year-old Abu Quta told the Associated Press news agency by telephone.

Another strike in the same city early Monday killed 11, including women and children.

I'm not sure what you mean. I'm not okay with that. But it's hamas and only hamas putting those lives in danger, and only they can reverse those choices. It should not preclude Israel from doing what it needs to do. Loss of civilian life of any creed, color, or nation is equally tragic. It seems that Israel values the Palestinian civilians far more than hamas.
Bbm.
Agreed.
I don't believe any IDF sites or weapon launching sites are next to Israeli kindergartens or residential homes.
There is a 180 ∘ difference between Hamas and Israel.

Here is what was released
from the link -
He repeatedly told his father to open the messages to look at the images of his prey.

The two seem to rejoice over the phone, the terrorist’s voice thick with emotion as he excitedly repeats multiple times that he killed nearly a dozen people.

“Oh my son, God bless you!” his father said.

“I swear, 10 with my own hands,” the terrorist repeated when his mother returned to the line. “I killed 10 with my own hands.

“Mom, your son is a hero! Kill, kill, kill!”

His mother replies that she hopes he is brought home safely.

Now multiple this reaction by who knows how many. No where on the planet is this ok. Terrorists will never be able to assimilate into society.

OCTOBER 21, 2023
One-fifth of the rockets fired by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) have been misfired in the last day, landing inside Gaza and killing civilians, the IDF said in a briefing on Saturday.

IDF Spokesman Daniel Hagari said that amounts to more than 550 rockets.

“They are killing their own people,” he said.

Not so sure about that ?
I am looking at this like a hostage situation -- but the citizens of Gaza might be captive to what Hamas is allowing them to do or not do ?

Israel may possibly have more intelligence than the press; about whom or what was in that building.
This attack sounds so hinky, as I think the IDF would not target a building that they know is only civilians ?
What's Hamas not saying ?

Civilians may be saying what Hamas is telling them to say.
I don't think that's impossible.
Imo -- if there were Hamas in that high rise, the innocent people aren't going to tell the media that Hamas are there, that'd be like a death sentence !
Scary.
I feel sad for these people as it looks like they're trapped in a terrible situation.
Unspeakable.
We don't know what Hamas is doing, that's not making it to the press; this is just my .02.

I wonder if the Gazans know that some of the destruction and death is caused by their own government.

Thanks for the link. ^^^

I've been wondering about this.
About 100 % certain Israel wouldn't fire on a refugee camp that may not have Hamas ?
I think Hamas did this to their residents.
Brutal and savage. :(

I think they're far more familiar with them than anyone on the outside looking in.
So in short, YES, they most certainly know.

“The Palestinian Authority (PA) ruled Gaza for two years, until 2007, when Hamas waged a brief but violent war against the PA. Since then, Hamas and other terrorist groups have launched thousands of rockets and mortars toward Israel, used Palestinian civilians as human shields to protect their personnel and facilities, and terrorized the Israeli communities near Gaza.”

“Hamas diverts international assistance to build its terrorist infrastructure. This impedes economic development and contributes to the humanitarian and environmental crisis in Gaza. The group restricts the rights of women and Christians and treats homosexuality as a crime.

Hamas uses civilians as human shields, hiding terror tunnels, weapons factories, and operations centers under schools and in densely populated civilian areas. The United Nations (UN) has called on Hamas to “cease immediately” these violations of international law.”

Hamas' Use of Human Shields, Explained

May 18, 2021
The Hamas terror organization manufactures, stores, and launches weapons among civilian areas in Gaza. This is a blatant violation of human rights—both Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad use Gazan civilians as human shields to protect their weapons by putting them in the direct line of fire.

Following Hamas' relentless rocket attacks since May 10, 2021, Israel has had no choice but to defend itself. In contrast to its enemies, the IDF goes above and beyond international law to warn and protect Gazan civilians while striking terror targets in Gaza.

Families of Israelis held captive by Hamas meet with Italian PM

Relatives of Israelis held hostage by Hamas meet with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Rome to speak about their anguish and raise awareness for their loved ones’ plight in Gaza.

Nadav Kipnis’ parents, Evyatar and Lilich Kipnis, were found dead days after the October 7 Hamas attack. His cousin is being held captive.

“None of them deserved to be treated in such horrible ways. We have to spread the message of anything that can help. It’s what my parents would have wanted,” Kipnis says.

Ilan Regev’s two children, 21-year-old Maya and 18-year-old Itay, were kidnapped at the Nova Music Festival.

Hamas has said it seeks the release of all Palestinian prisoners held by Israel in exchange for the captives.

“Give them everything, 4,000, 5,000 prisoners in Israel. I don’t care, these are children, babies, bring them back,” Regev says.
If my family member were being held, I would feel the exact same way. Objectively speaking, however:
1) Hamas has proven time and again that they can't be trusted. 2) It's not evident how many of the hostages are even still alive. 3) When you start negotiating with terrorists, it costs untold suffering in loss of future lives.

7 Minutes of 7,000+ Rockets: Hamas' Nonstop Attacks On Israel

Oct 25, 2023
Straight from Hamas' social media: see terrorists indiscriminately launch 7,000+ rockets at Israeli civilians over the last two and a half weeks.

From 0:41-1:35, catch a small glimpse into life in Israel under rocket fire, including Israelis taking cover under rocket fire during a funeral and rocket shrapnel lodged into an Israeli family's kitchen.

Look carefully and see where Hamas blurred parts of their clips to conceal the fact that they fire rockets from civilian neighborhoods in Gaza, and listen carefully to where you can hear Gazan children in the background where the Hamas cameraman is filming. Firing from civilian areas at civilian areas constitutes a double war crime.

The last clip at 6:42 shows Hamas rocket fire at the same time Hamas terrorists were paragliding into Israel during their October 7th invasion.
