The Meter Reader is not what's bothering me....

It's the fact that the OCSD did not find the Bag - They were there TWICE

TES was there...

Fox news showed a Video of that area from August 5th - the exact area & it was as dry as a sandbox

No matter how you look at this it's bad news for the prosecution

It may be "Coincidence" & LE can try to explain it away but if there are any more Coincidences then LE better start worrying

the body could have been burried under a bush

the assumption that searchers will ALWAYS find something hidden in an area is wrong.

Good post!

He kept returning to that area because... HE WORKED THERE. And you know what, I bet if many of the people on this board worked in that area, and found it necessary to walk around in that area during their day-to-day work, they would have done much the same.

According to wftv the man told LE that he went back because he had a "nagging feeling"

The water, electric guys all talk, my dad was a meter guy.
I am sure all of them on the route were looking for
Caylee around the area. If he is young, maybe he knows young people who said kids hung out there, he may read WS at night. If I lived or worked around there, I probably would of walked my dog in that area and searched also. I'm so glad CAYLEE was found.

Judging from the shrubs they removed, there was a lot of brush in the area, and think how tiny that body was. I dearly wish they'd found the bag, but I'm not shocked that they didn't.

Only because the defense will use it to connect him to the nonexistent nanny!

but he will be available and will make clear what he is about or it will be made clear by LE

there can be no association with the nanny cause theres no nanny...1000 lawyers saying there is a nanny won't change the facts

The area that Fox News showed IS NOT the area where the remains were found. They are recanting the statement (saw it live today). The area they filmed is further east on Suburban, across from the school.

What are the chances of this dude having the same last name as the nanny that doesn't exist? Don't you feel like someone's just going to pop up on your computer screen and yell "smile, you're on Candid Camera!":bang:
Calling all Florida peeps... but isn't Gonzalez in Florida like the Miller of Ohio?

They should have sent women out to search. Men can't find the mustard in the refrigerator when it's staring them in the face.

I don't believe the meter reader is involved in anything, but I do question why he could smell the body in August and LE couldn't. I'm also concerned about how the defense could use this to their advantage - haven't thought that all the way through yet.

Hi Chilly,

I don't think the Meter Reader is involved either but you have to admit that this is strange.

It bothers me because not only do we have tips about an odor coming from the woods from behind the Anthony home we have a Meter Reader calling in a strange bag to that location 3 times. The OCSD should have found her. If she WAS there they should have found her & thats exactly what Jose Baez is going to say at trial.

I'm just nervous that this may end up helping Casey

Hey coastal, I really want YOU to be right!!!! My hope is this guy does not affect the case. However, I don't think for the short term it will be good. Not until they check him out 100 percent.

Aggravated child abuse? wasn't that charge removed? Weintraub is like a pit bull....she just locks in and doesn't let go.

I apologize to any pit bulls for that comparison.

or

The OCSD has is doing "Shoddy" police work & not searching properly

Either way......This is all good news for Casey

posted on another thread also- (bolded by me) hoping one of supersleuths will see it-

Okay, the JVM thread is all abuzz, due to reports that the Aug trash bag (by the side of the road, and smelly?) was grey and the Remains trash bag being black.

Can one of the supersleuthers that knows how to access police reports, that I think are public record, see what can be found about any incident in that area Aug, 11, 12 and/or 13? Might go well towards stomping out some of the speculation and conspiracy theories that are flying.

My theory- In August, IF there was a grey trash bag by the road, not JUST a smell, LE may have checked it, found a dead pet dumped and let it go as that, without giving info to meter reader. All he knows is that he called, they responded (one or more of those days) said we'll take it from here and that was it as far as he knew. IF there was just a smell, LE may have checked it and found a bag with dead animal remains, or just a rotting animal, chalked the smell up to that and may or may not have even filed a report. Jump to Dec. Meter reader is back on regular route, water in area is down now, may or not have had to pee, goes into woods, maybe pokes around out of curiousity, finds BLACK bag, calls it in to supervisor to report, since he knows he already called LE in Aug and doesn't want them to just ignore him as a repeat crank about the same area. And there ya go...Taa Daa!

Are they recanting what they aired last night on the Greta Van S, show...?

About the area not being flooded

:beersign:
Not to mention breaking into the trunk at the tow yard, putting the body inside, to implicate poor Casey!

I wonder how they'll explain away the fingerprints they find?

she needs a LOT more help than THIS

"should have" is an opinion.

which is fine for forums but not so much for trials.

Strange doesn't begin to describe it, Boston. Hopefully it will make more sense when LE completes their investigation and tells us exactly what happened. I think, at the very least, it will not look good when the officer(s) who responded to this tip have to admit on the stand that they searched the area a number of times in August and found nothing. The defense could use that to create reasonable doubt as to whether the body was actually there at that time.
