GUILTY Italy - British Model Kidnapped, Allegedly For Online Auction, Milan, July 2017

  • #81
I was wondering why Herba went with her to the British Consulate and his inevitable imprisonment, but now I get it, he says he wasn't in on the kidnapping, he rescued her in Paris (unknown to her) when the Romanians first attempted to kidnap her and then rescued her again, in this case.

Ayling told police she first met Herba, a 30-year-old Polish national, briefly when she was brought to Paris for another modeling job, to promote motorcycles, earlier this year and he came to pay her cab fare at the airport.

After his arrest in Milan, Herba told police that he cancelled the Paris job when he realized that a group of three Romanians affiliated with the alleged criminal group intended to kidnap Ayling, his official statement says.

He said he called the model's hotel, pretending to be the photographer hired to work with her, to say his equipment had been stolen.

Herba, who has British residency and speaks English, provided an account just as detailed as Ayling's and more incredible.

He told investigators that the Romanians hired him to rent properties around Europe to store garments they intended to sell. He said he was drawn into the kidnapping scheme to raise money to treat his leukemia.

The Milan investigators expressed incredulity at the 500,000 pounds ($649,000) Herba said he was paid to rent the properties. They also said he did not provide the names of doctors or other evidence he illness.

The suspect also claimed he did not participate in Ayling's kidnapping. He told police he came to her aid when he saw her photos posted with an online auction. He said she was free to go once the Romanians had abandoned the farmhouse, but that she stayed.

So he's saying he's the hero here?

Sounds like he has major mental issues, maybe schizophrenic? I would wager he was in on this alone, maybe with one additional person, but the Romanian involvement is hard to believe. JMO

Black death white slavery group with a moral code, He saved her from the Romanians, then took her shoe shopping

He's the hero and he's a gentleman that never touched her.
He just saved her, twice, from the bad Romanians, which are hated as an ethnic group in Italy. Romania is now part of the EU, so they can come in and out of Italy at will and they are hated and horribly discriminated against there.

Italy tells Romania: We don't want your Roma

This guy sounds like quite the character.

That's a nice way of putting it lol. I'm still undecided on the situation. But it wouldn't surprise me if when he met her that time in Paris he became obsessed with her and that's how this all transpired. Time will tell.

I was trying to put it nicely. I think that theory is a definite possibility.

This guy is such a character, saving a girl from the Romanians and using the money to pay for his cancer treatment

Why would he even need money for cancer treatment? He is a British resident so would get free treatment on the NHS.

I don't think one can believe much of what this guy says.

'Then at 10am on Wednesday morning this email landed in my inbox.

'It read, "We've got Chloe Ayling. We are Black Death group. It is of supreme interest that you raise money. You should contact [three names] or she will be sold at auction on Sunday and handed to the Russian mafia".'

It went on: 'We require you to come up with an offer by Sunday or she will be placed for auction.' Mr Green, who runs Supermodel Agency, said he was 'absolutely terrified'.

'I didn't know what to believe. I spent five days thinking she was dead. Talk about sleep deprivation. I hardly slept for a week. It was a difficult time.'

Uhhh what? So did he call the cops or not?

Regarding where she is talking about Paris, why would you forget there was a car for you and phone a taxi instead? And why call a taxi if you've no money on you? Has she never heard of Uber? If I don't have cash on me I use that instead. Surely a well travelled model would be used to travel arrangements.

I do wonder what the significance of the Paris minute details in her statement is.

She said she did it in error. She was apparently supposed to get into a car booked for her but got into a taxi instead.
