1. At some points in the water it is deeper than others.
2. I retract the throwing a body over the bridge as possible, there is a very tall fence alomg the bridge over the waterway.
3. The police have done a very extensive search during the NG case as I have found out today, and the map shown several posts back is incorrect. The body was located on the east side of the river not the west side the location where she was pulled from the trail is on the east side as well.
4. The bridge on east colonial (highway 50) that crosses the econ as it flows south does not have a fence and something could be thrown into the waterway from here.
5. This areas has changed considerable from what google earth/maps shows. There is a very large church building next to the post office now.
6. As I was searching this area today I discovered some items that concerned me and I reported them. I stood with a deputy for almost an hour and a half while we waited for CSI to come and view the find. The items where things one would think a homeless person would cary/own ... Old work pants cut short, old blanket, hammer - grip was split all the way down and loose hammer's handle was loose from the grip and rusty, Brass knuckles, either a rubber "surgical" type glove or a bunch of condoms all flattened out and pressed into a flat shape that appeared to be a glove all folded up, a bottle of hair spray. Also deeper in these woods I saw other items such as paper plates and a piece of copper wire sheath where the wire was removed by splitting the sheath. Homeless take the time to do this because they can get more money for it "clean." I was thanked for reporting these items but was informed that (and this was all they could tell me about it) these items were not involved with the crime and they were only going to collect the hammer and brass knuckles (as the weapon is illegal to begin with) as meerly found property. CSI said these had nothing to do with NG's murder and there would be no DNA evidence on the other items that they could test for. They mentioned thorughly searching this area and suggested these items may have been left sometime after NG's murder. There was never any mention of cause of death or possible weapons used only that it was a brutal murder and that they thought a homeless person was invlved so I felt it was important enough to report this stuff since it appeared to have been something that a homelss person maybe owned and they were items that could have been used to cause great injury. Apparently these items did not cause the types of imjury's she sustained.
7. I took extensive photos of this entire area including the items I found and I will try and post them another night, but I fell alseep early tonight and I am still tired and heading back!
