That's right, I forgot about the possibility of volcanoes, not to mention the possibility of radiation in some areas.Agreed, and I pray for no volcano eruption for them...

Saying that helicopters will be able to make rescues pretty fast, once they can get them up and running, and considering that the entire country is the size of California, they will be able to move quickly by air.
The navy will play a large role, likely sine they will be able move eaier and communicate better than those that are land bound. (Although the comparison that was made to Vietnam made me cringe a little inside.)
