Exactly. A custody fight in a divorce can't be compared to someone falsely accused of a murder and being forced to talk in order to have any hope of maintaining custody. It's clear he would have had no chance of winning the suit with police writing affidavits that they believed he was guilty. You think a Judge was going to award him custody? So there was no point in subjecting himself to an 8 hour interrogation. The tactics they use are disgusting.

Falsely accused? Oh please.

Because they weren't looking for full custody. You can say they completely trashed him when in fact they reported the truth. The facts. I disagree that parents that have done nothing wrong would back away from that. Parents that have done nothing wrong have nothing to hide. And do we know if a psych evaluation is standard procedure? Maybe that was on the advice of their attorney? Ya know, they followed the advice of the attorney? Just like JY did?

There are many ways of presenting someone's character. Jason must have some very good qualities, because otherwise Michelle would not have married him. None of those good qualities that inspired Michelle to marry Jason were mentioned in the affidavit. Instead, every stupid thing he did while drunk at a party, even things that he did prior to the birth of the child, was mentioned. Did Michelle marry the man that they describe in their affidavit, or did she marry a man that she believed had good character? She was a well educated woman. Why did she marry him if there was nothing good to say about him?

A psych evaluation is not standard in a custody application.

She first said the key "didn't work", then said she later realized she was trying the wrong key and that she forgot to take it with her.

The defense questioned her about this because she had been to the house a week prior to print some things and he asked her why she didn't remember that she didn't have her key at that time. (She said she entered through the broken garage).

Interesting discussion about MY fingernails and fighting back capabilities. I'm wondering if her attacker would have fingernail scratches on his face and hands especially as it seems an attempt was to strangle her first? jmo

I can't figure out why JY would have bought and worn a pair of shoes that were two sizes too small when the plan was strangulation.

Another thing is that Jason always seemed to wear the kind of shoes that were slip-ons, so why not take his shoes off when he entered the house so as not to wake anyone.
Even thought there was carpet, it would have only taken a minute to take his shoes off!!

There is more to the Puerto Rico vacation story, he took CY there because that is where he and Michelle went and he wanted them to remember a happy time.

Does anyone know if that CraigList internet dating thing was ever verified to actually belong to Jason? Did that come in at trial? There seems like there were a lot of people who could have set this up to make it look like him?

I have a hard time believing Jason did this when he knew he was being watched so closely.

Exactly, if he wants the attack to be a complete surprise with all his 'great' plans, why make that mistake? IMO, the investigators are grasping at straws with the whole 'shoe' thing. It had to be JY no matter what. jmo

I read on an earlier post you believed Raven A. to be guilty and it was pathetic to see the deal he got. I agree with that completely. What about Raven's case convinced you he was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I believe most of the evidence was CE like the JY case. so I'd be really interested on your thoughts about evidence in Raven's case.

I don't remember all the details, but apparently she bought some shoes at a discount shop and they were too small for Jason. I think the prosecution theory is that even though they were too small, he kept them and wore them. Does anyone remember that?

Jason had a blood blister on his toe when he was photographed. I think the theory is that he wore the shoes and developed the blood blister. I doubt that using the shoes to create a bloody print would result in an injury to his toe.

It's also curious that the prosecutor did not ask Jason how he got that blood blister. There must be a reasonable explanation for the injury for her to avoid asking that question.
