I think everyone knows and agrees JY was not a good husband, he admitted it himself.
But, the fact he would act so reckless while planning his wife's murder at the same time, leads me even farther away to anything that leads to his guilt.

fun guy, party guy, yes
Murderer.....NO

Indeed, everything he did seemed reckless and he is all of the above.
I believe he did plan his wife's murder but he got caught. MOO.

Being a POI in an investigation would not appear on any type of background check.

He mentioned this in his testimony. The vigilantes went after him. May have been in reference to losing his new job after the murder. Not Chart One but the next job. The vigilantes must have gone after him again when he was in nursing school. MOO.

This thread has devolved into one discussing all of JY's failings, real or otherwise, by all of us perfect, flawless people. While character flaws can have a bearing on the case, the real hard and soft evidence is the best determination of guilt or innocence.

For instance, the fact that the DNA expert for the state found one strand of hair clutched in Michelle's hand that had been pulled out by the root. The DNA profile did not match either Michelle or Jason. CODIS did not return any hits. So, how did that get there? Could it have been from the actual attacker? Or did that fiendishly clever but stupid Jason pluck a hair from some unsuspecting victim and plant it in Michelle's hand along with her own hairs?

Well, this is a discussion board. We are addressing the possible third trial of the defendant. Who dictates what we should address? I am reviewing the defendant's testimony and giving my OPINION on his dreadful behavior while married and before. He declares his love for his wife but actions speak louder than words, IMO. Obviously the present group of posters are focused on poking holes in every small detail. For instance, the shoe shine kit. Who found that? Why was that chosen out of all the things in JY's closet?

And I have been in the medical field my entire life, lol.

Even as a student you have a certain code you have to abide by and while doing clinical trianing you have to sign a HIPPA form. He goofed up and didn't take responsibility. Plain and simple.

That isn't very helpful and you know it. We are supposed to supply a link to either testimony
or evidence presented at the trial that would show where the gas receipt was mentioned and that
JY did not get the full amount of gas he paid for.

Why is that? There shouldn't be any problem posting links when discussing facts in a case. I have had to go search for links and testimony myself if and when something is challenged.Opinions don't need a link, but if someone is going to post something as fact, then there should be a link. Why is one side obligated to furnish a link more than the other?
Unless, there isn't any? Besides, even the Mods have asked us to supply them.

Jason was/is a momma's boy. Based on the stories told on the stand by his momma and others, I got the impression Jason wasn't given a lot of boundaries, and as the only boy in his family, he seemed to be treated like a prince by the womenfolk.

And here he is, a white male, being made out to be just a nice normal guy who the state was determined to railroad. I wonder why only white males who have been charged/convicted of killing their wives are ones considered railroaded and have a legion of fans? Where is the support for all the minority males charged with killing a spouse or intimate partner? Haven't they too been "railroaded"? What about the women in prison who were convicted of killing their spouses and/or children? Railroaded or not? What an interesting trend.

You shouldn't make this about race. The only reason I know that Cooper and Young received unfair trials and the cases were poorly investigated is because the trials were streamed. I'm sure there are plenty of minorities who have been subjected to the same thing.

The truth is, there is only so much time to thoroughly research cases and I can't focus on more than a few at a time.
