Jeff Ashton -Retired? Not if he has anything to say about it! ;) ***Updated***

Yay! Go JA! I bet JB will have a hard row to hoe if JA wins!

:great:

I think it would be great for Orlando to have JA as their SA. I was very impressed by the range of knowledge he has. I think any new prosecutor coming into their system will love working for him. jmo

Wow, Tulessa. I never watched that...till now. Can't stop crying. I don't know why...never knew this child personally...but feel as if I let her down. I'm so sorry, Caylee Marie.

PS- jmo...but someone should post this on JA's FB page.

As most of you know I am Cherokee, and when the hawk screamed outside of the courthouse, I had a feeling Caylee would not get justice & Her MOTY would get by with murder. :(

none of the replies answer "I bet JB will have a hard row to hoe if JA wins! " I guess it implies that JA will be vindictive and go after the attorney that beat him in the unbeatable case?

It's not over yet. Trial maybe, but not for KC for sure. The hawk was assuring us of that.

I put a few of my husband's ashes down by the tree line on my property. We placed his ashes at the base of a tree that was branchless up to about 2 1/2 stories high with this one branch sticking out all by itself. Shortly after we placed his ashes there a hawk appeared. Just sat there on the branch for about 15 minutes or so before taking off. Whenever I would be worried about something that was important for me to have a positive answer I'd ask him to give me a sign. Soon I would look out the window and there was the hawk sitting on that branch.

They are so beautiful and do give you a sense of peace when you see them. I'm glad we are seeing more and more of them. I do think there was a message for us with the hawk sitting on that windowsill. Thanks

Because everyone is intitled to their own opinion, and none of us are god, and therefore know exactly what happened, I am perfectly happy and content on this forum.

For the record, not once, never, have I defended Anthony. I just do not wear blinders for the Prosecution, or the Defense.

I have no problem with the Orange County Sheriff's office, the medical examiner, etc.

If Anthony is/was guilty of murdering Caylee, I put the responsibilty of the not guilty verdict squarely on the shoulders of Drane-Burdeck, Ashton, and other members of the prosecution. They didn't do their job. And please, don't put the blame on the jurors. The Prosecution had just as much say in seating them as the Defense did.

As for Baez not being honest; we'll see how ethical Ashton was when Berry rules on the motion the Defense filed. I love how the Ashton supporters are saying, "well, if he did what they say he did, the end justifies the means." If Baez had written a book, not Ashton, and had used material the court had sealed, virtually everyone would have wanted him lynched for it. Sealed is sealed.

For the record, I am neither an Anthony family and/or Baez insider, although I was passed yesterday by a silver Mercedes with the license plate "Mrs Baez".

As far as having opposing opinions, I'd be willing to bet if WS was around in 1996, the vast majority here would have thought Richard Jewel was guilty of The Centennial Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta. How did that work out? Opposing opinions, whether popular or not, are not a bad thing. I will not be pressured to not post because my opinions differ.

What purpose would that serve? JA is a mature adult or he would not have made it as far as he has as a prosecutor. JB has gotten himself into trouble with all the complaints against him. No one else is to blame, unless you want to blame CM for ill advising him. The state has a job to do and if you are a victum of a crime you want them to do the right thing for you so I don't understand why anyone would feel resentful towards the SA's office. They are not in the private sector, they are public servants.

It seems to me that KC may have been freed but she certainly is not free to walk about on her own. Essentially she is still in a prison of her own making. The lying and trying to blame others is what upset people the most, I believe, because when they think of RK, ZG, GA they think that could have been me. If she had just said the child died by accident I think people would have gotten over it and even accepted it as a possibility. It's the continual lying (as in crying Wolf) that upsets people the most. If she does not change there will be more trouble for her in the future and it will be of her own choice. jmo

Re-read what I wrote. I am not saying Ashton is vindictive. IMO that is what the OP is implying.

They stated JB will have a hard row to hoe if JA wins; I asked them to explain what they meant. So far they haven't.

I guess you get your jollies by saying JA is vindictive. I get my jollies by knowing that his case was Justice for Caylee. NONE OH HER OWN family can say the same. Welcome to WS BTW :)

And no one is obligated to reply to it. If they choose to, fine, but otherwise let it go. You've made your point in your succinct post above.

This goes for everyone -

Stop this back and forth baiting, bickering and personalization of posts NOW.

It is not that hard to ignore a post that bothers you. No one is obligated to reply.

I think if JA were running for judge JB might be reaching for the Pepto, lol, but do defense attorneys even have that much contact with the SA? Certainly not enough to get upset about. I do think JA would be watching him like a hawk to minimize any errors. jmo

Exactly. If this were a judgeship that Ashton was running for Baez might have good reason to be worried. In fact, if that were the case I imagine Baez would ask Ashton to recuse himself from any case set before him because JA has openly admitted he is biased, doesn't like or trust JB.

However, we are talking about a State Attorney position. Baez is just a blip on the radar as far as defense attorneys go in Orlando. To the SA office, he is just another name/address listed in their directory.

I'm sorry Beach. My heart just aches for Caylee. I'll be good. I don't want to be the reason for extra work on our wonderful Mods. WS and it's members have been extremely good to me. rossva I meant it when I welcomed you to WS. Walk a mile in my shoes and you will have a much greater appreciation for the prosecuting attorneys. Come April they will be fighting the good fight for my brother and his wife, God BLESS every single prosecuting attorney in the United States!!

Happy New Year, Tulessa. Let's make this a better year. The year for justice for your family. Our hopes and prayers will be with you all the way.

LOL. Oh dear, then JB would be known as the "reclusing" attorney. "Here comes the Judge." Happy New Year, Beach.
