Jeff Bridges announces he has been diagnosed with lymphoma

"Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good," Bridges said.

Jeff Bridges, the Oscar-winning actor best known for playing a stoner bowler in "The Big Lebowski," announced Monday that he has been diagnosed with lymphoma.

Jeff Bridges Says He Has Lymphoma

The actor said on Monday that he had started treatment and that his prognosis was “good.”

Jeff Bridges, the actor known for his roles as Bad Blake in “Crazy Heart” and The Dude in “The Big Lebowski,” announced on Monday that he has lymphoma.

“Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good,” Mr. Bridges tweeted, with a nod to The Dude. “I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery.”

Aside from the obvious reasons, I thought his acting was so natural and unique.
