Well if he wants a REAL audience, however he does his bit, he'll tell the truth, the whole truth about the Anthony family. No playing footsie with Cindy.

I'd watch it if he told the unvarnished truth. But I ain't holding my breath.

I find it amusing that between flirting via Twitter with Martha from WESH.......courting Cindy A....... visiting with JB to read docs....... and conducting business as usual for J2SC, that Jim would find it worth his time to pretend to "thwart" rumors.

I mean when half your job consists of booking "tabloidesque" figures on whatever morning or talk show that's paying.....don't ya have better things to do?

Sheesh.....

BTW.....think he knows how shiny that head is in court? Bad lighting I'm sure. HeeHee

Yup. I still don't get why no network understands there's no stomach for a sugar-coating of Cindy, George and Lee. And yet all the interviews with this family have been softball. It's incredible.

When you think TV is all about ratings why would they not give the public what it wants? THE TRUTH. We see it, we read it, we know it (not all of course, but with the help of the press maybe we'd know more).

And we see Jim L. cuddling up to Cindy and Baez in court. Buddies.

I'm sure they'd love it if Cindy were your garden-variety grieving grandma -- but hey, let's face facts, SHE AIN'T. So get with the program already. There's no one in your viewing audience who wants to see Anthony propaganda. You'd make a fortune if you just told the truth! You don't have to embellish. Just tell the darned truth!!!!

I dunno. I kind of think there's money in it for the A's coming from any Jim L deal. If there wasn't I don't think they'd be sitting together in the court. She wouldn't want any part of him. I know, lately he's been sitting a few seats away. I'm interested to watch their seating arrangement and body language in upcoming hearings. Maybe we'll get a better "tell" on their relationship. IMO Cindy doesn't do anything for anyone without some dollar figure attached.

Unless of course, she needs him to paint a sympathetic portrait of her -- which I guess translates into future bucks if they don't have a money deal.

I still think there's money already changed hands or more to come in the future.

The sad thing about it is......that the garden variety grieving grandma wouldn't be interesting enough. TV audiences don't want real life and normal behavior...they crave crazy, ego-maniacal, bizarre behavior that defies logic.

This story does have that "tabloid" texture. You have, among other things, a beautiful child, a young mother, a fast club and party scene, a group of unique friends, a domineering mother, a seemingly henpecked father, a socially inept brother, an unnamed father, a host of ex boyfriends, an inexperienced attorney, a cowboy one rodeo short of legitimacy, local media wh*res, liberal public disclosure laws, a few publicity hungry bloggers, high profile attorneys, Nancy Grace, the Tot Mom play, ever changing stories, a list of scapegoats and several patsy's.

This is a media dream.

The sad thing though is.......that it was all created, crafted, nurtured, scripted, and perfected. It isn't real.

It's nothing more than bad reality TV...really bad.

In the quest for the almighty soundbite...the "GET"....and a $$ bottom line....the main character was lost....whom without...there would be no "story".

Kind of a sad testament to our society isn't it??

And may I also say...that Jim L's explanation...that he is there only on behalf of the Today show....is an insult to our intelligence.

Why does the Today show find it a valuable $$ investment...to assign Jim court side seats (pardon the pun) for what will be available via news and blog sites within hours of release??

What "story" does the Today Show expect to break that isn't already in motion?

News travels fast....faster...and fastest via the net. Is Jim really getting their money's worth by flying to the greater Orlando area to sit in the gallery? Ummmm NOPE!

If we didn't know better.....Jim could be a "stalker". But see, the average person can wade through that "rhetoric" and see that the real "story" is behind the scenes.

The real story is not the doc dumps AKA discovery....it's not the case status...it's not the news at 5:30 and 6:00. The "real" story is going to be told from the perspective of one "lucky to be in his shoes" defense attorney, or one "family thrust into the spotlight".

Now...if I had to wager...... I'd take into consideration Florida's Son of Sam Laws....and remember that a disbarred / disgraced attorney can still sell a story for $$$$ provided they don't violate client confidentiality. Come to think of it....losing a license to practice law would make the "GET" even bigger. Don't ya think??

JMO and random thoughts.

What if you were JL and had the confidences of CA? She hugs him, chats with him, probably tells him what she is thinking. What if you wrote all that up and turned the tables on her? Anatomy of a sociopathic grandma! He's got the inside scoop and a front row seat.

And if I were JL I'd be sure to NEVER sign an NDA or a Confidentiality Agreement.

The question is.....were the A's or their counsel ever savvy enough to request one????

Was JB?? Oh wait....why would he???

Amil, that would be incredible. Like, was it Joe McGuiness, who wrote the fascinating Jeffrey Macdonald book. Really turned the tables on that narcissistic lying psycho.

BUT, this is Jim Lichtenstein from a network and I doubt that will happen. McGuinness was a free agent (I believe) not beholden to committee (which I'm sure decided to cover this Anthony case from a certain angle). He has people to answer to. He gets a weekly paycheck.

I wish I could believe he is clever enough and off-the-corporate-grid enough -- independent enough to pull that off but I don't see it. I think he's just a puppet of his masters.

Amil -

"Anatomy of a Sociopathic Grandma"

ROFL!!!!

How about...

"Anatomy of a Case Gone Rogue"

Trial by day...drama by night...the case of The State of Florida v. Casey Anthony leads us through a map of obstacles, obfuscation, and detours that even GPS can not "thwart".

SOS, you bring some very good points to view...

I wonder what JL thinks of this entire case. Does he think ICA is guilty? Does he think the grandmother is over the top and mostly likely the one to come under fire at trial? What is his angle? Why does he put so much of his time into this going to all the pretrial hearings and motions. Is there another angle or is he there for the victim, Caylee Marie...

I've always wondered WHO will give a victims impact statement on behalf of Caylee Marie, when that time comes? I bet it won't be CA! You see the stance she's taking, she sits behind the defense, not the prosecutors..JMHO

Justice for Caylee

Perhaps JL sits near CA to hear her mindless blather. That lady has a hard time keeping her trap shut. Maybe a smart move on his part?

Here is Cindy's BFF the bald media guy - Jim Lichtenstein - who sits with her, or near her at all the Hearings.
He denies on his Twitter account, that he is doing anything other than covering the Hearings for "TODAY" Show.

In this video clip from the Nancy Grace Show, Jim is personally holding the door for Cindy as she leaves the office, and as she gets into "his" car.
They are apparently at the office of "NewsLink".
Lichtenstein apparently personally escorted Cindy to this office to do her phone-in interview with Nancy Grace.

So now that we KNOW he told a "mistruth".....wonder what else will turn up? Also had this thought.......perhaps the fact that NewsLink has an office in Miami is a "motivator" for JB to have wanted the trial there??

Interestingly enough the backdrop that was used in the Geraldo interview with JB and LKB....is the SAME one that LiveLink uses.

And look at the interview backdrop..

Thanks Tulessa
I vaguely remember that particular report but I do remember that J Hoover went to search with TES and gave a TIP to another searcher...
I thought...Why not give the tip to Tim Miller or LE?HMMMM...Hinky
Then I thought what the hey was he doing at the search? spying for the A's?
The Hinkymeter rose and rose quickly...
Hoover was up to something? Good or Bad I wasn't sure...

Where is the thread with the November stuff that was recently posted..by Another News Junkie, I think..I can't find it...We need to include this little tidbit of information...that Hoover was out "secretly" searching with TES on Nov 8 and gave a TIP to another searcher about the woods...

Interesting that JL has now protected his tweets.

For someone in social media / media......would you not want your tweets to reach a greater audience??

Hmmmmmmmmm

I think he must be an ex-BFF- he doesn't sit anywhere near her now, he is usually in the second row of the prosecution side, right behind BS and KB.
