The sad thing about it is......that the garden variety grieving grandma wouldn't be interesting enough. TV audiences don't want real life and normal behavior...they crave crazy, ego-maniacal, bizarre behavior that defies logic.
This story does have that "tabloid" texture. You have, among other things, a beautiful child, a young mother, a fast club and party scene, a group of unique friends, a domineering mother, a seemingly henpecked father, a socially inept brother, an unnamed father, a host of ex boyfriends, an inexperienced attorney, a cowboy one rodeo short of legitimacy, local media wh*res, liberal public disclosure laws, a few publicity hungry bloggers, high profile attorneys, Nancy Grace, the Tot Mom play, ever changing stories, a list of scapegoats and several patsy's.
This is a media dream.
The sad thing though is.......that it was all created, crafted, nurtured, scripted, and perfected. It isn't real.
It's nothing more than bad reality TV...really bad.
In the quest for the almighty soundbite...the "GET"....and a $$ bottom line....the main character was lost....whom without...there would be no "story".
Kind of a sad testament to our society isn't it??
