nothing suspect except for that strong odor of gas emanating from the trunk... right where the officer would be standing if he was looking at the upside down rear plate. is it legal to drive with 3 full gas cans in your trunk?

the whole plate thing doesn't make sense.

Didn't she refill the gas cans when she left RB? When she was back on her way home to Yreka?

I'm kind of undecided about this. While the average person might see this as rude behavior, I think Nurmi is so clueless I don't think his body language fits normal patterns. JMO

But at the end of last court! Nurmi and wilma! Ere standing at the door as jodi was leaving! All were smiling like they had just won the lottery! Including nurmi?

There was testimony the other day that ALL of the murder day pictures were deleted. There were other pictures that were already on the camera that Travis had taken before the murder day -- and those were still on the camera, not deleted.

Funny how selective her fog was...lol

Someone claimed that TA's roommate's GF was to dog-sit while he was in Cancun.

It was supposedly her practice to 'gate out' Napoleon when she left for the day and that the assumption was that she had already begun the gig.

With the doggy door, Naps didn't need to be let out to do his business.

But that would assume that she'd put the gate up several days before Travis left - so he and the roommates would have to step over it every time they went up and down the stairs... (?).

Having the dog gate up at all makes no sense to me at all (except for JA putting it up before attacking Travis), because with Travis away, his bedroom door would be shut, and the roommates probably kept their doors shut when they weren't home, either - meaning the only restriction the gate would provide would be to the stairs and an upstairs hall.

Why would they do that - and be willing to deal with having to lurch over it all the time?

The only thing that makes sense to me is that JA did it - further proving premeditation.

I missed Jodi confessing to taking a shower after the murder.

She didn't. She said she used that shower for the shower she took that day, which she said was before his, I believe. I doubt she ever took a shower until after she killed him. JMO.

Ha! how 'bout that 3rd gas can now, Jodi? Are you sure you returned it to Walmart and got a cash refund? She and her DT will come up with something, like she used empty milk cartons for gas.... you know, just in case she were to run out in the middle of no where. :juggle:

She might have gotten away with it if she'd done that. They keep talking about the gas cans not being able to "fit" all the gas. Jodi has said a couple of times that she was afraid to fill the gas cans to the brim because she didn't want them to spill or whatever. So three cans makes perfect sense if she actually felt that way.

Did the jury hear these?

Yes; the jury has hundreds of pages of the tens of thousands of text messages, instant message chat sessions, emails, etc. that the two of them exchanged.

I believe these are all included.

There would have been no reason to exclude them absent a motion to do so.

She already had a Utah alibi - she had dinner with a bunch of people and watched a movie and slept at Ryan's house.

I think it was to avoid detection and identification.

Talking about alibis one thing has bothered me that I haven't seen discussed. If Jodi went to all the trouble of getting extra gas cans, turning off her phone, license plates etc. so she would not be traced in AZ then why did she 'lose' like 12 hours at Travis' house? Did she plan on killing him during sex [duct tape] but Travis didn't play along and she had to wait til he got in the shower? Seems like she would have planned on an 'in and out' if she was going to use Ryan as an alibi. She probably could have got lost for an hour or two but not 12?

I'm kind of lost in your post. She had to run down the hall regardless, in order to enter the closet at the bedroom end. She was able to make it down the hall without Travis catching her. He was laying on the bathroom floor or getting up. She had enough lead on him that she was able to run up the hall and down to the bathroom end of the closet, and he still hadn't caught her. It just makes sense to me, if someone is chasing me I'd head in the direction there was a possibly way to get out, not in the direction to possibly be trapped.

Oh, sorry...I was agreeing with you. I was just doing a bit of lampooning on Jodi's inane testimony. Of course, there is no way anyone wouldn't run down the stairs and out the front door...unless you need a reason for staying and butchering someone.

Just re-posting the Fox link from Tawnidilly's youtube page. I deleted earlier link because I wasn't sure it was allowed but have learned it's okay. Still figuring some of this stuff out :)

I always thought she tried to load 🤬🤬🤬🤬 or ped pictures on his drive and the security stopped it because the security warning was on his screen when LE checked it. Her hard drive was destroyed and the external hard drive was also destroyed, I believe. jmo

WTH happened to her computer?

Yeah, but don't you remember that the last time she ran down the hall and Travis was banging his head against the wall and he caught her and he spun her around, it was August 2007, and when he spun her around he was really angry but then he calmed down and hugged her because he wasn't upset anymore and he apologized, and then she thought because he caught her arm the last time, and he was really angry back then because she confronted him about sleeping with another woman, when they were broken up, so she thought that she should turn right into the closet because that way he wouldn't catch her this time. Hope this helps...:runaway:

I'd be banging my head on the wall too If I had unknowingly let a sociopath into my life...

I have wondered about this too. It could be that she had planned to be in and out but arrived to find Travis surprisingly hospitable and unexpectedly willing to let her in his bed. Who knows?

She use to be at Travis's house all the time so the neighbor's knew her
car for sure (& the roommates).......

Yes but the neighbors could have just as easily seen the white rental car, they just wouldn't recognize it. It would still lead back to JA (who would be found to have the same kind of car), so it would still through (ETA: I mean throw! Argh!) suspicion her way.

That's why I don't think she parked in front of his house, unless it was dark and away from any outdoor lighting.

I seem to recall something about a neighbor (from JA, though, so there you go), but I don't recall anything about if/what anyone may have said to LE...

Good point. Too many hours unaccounted for that it totally negates all the work she went through to leave no trace of being in AZ. She was also many hours late getting to RB's, according to his statements. I do believe she entered Travis' house with the intention of being in and out in a short time, however, either roommates home or Travis not in bed sleeping caused her to go to "Plan B". And she couldn't call RB and tell him she'd be late either.

I've been wondering that myself because for the life of me, I can't spot any soap, lather, shampoo, condition or any type of normal/basic toiletries in the shower stall.

I think Jodi had Travis at gunpoint the entire (shower) time. Not sure about the earlier naked photos or how that all played out but.....having the KY jelly smack in the middle of the bed where you supposedly just thrashed around, looks staged to me but.....the shower photos don't look right either.

I do agree it appears Jodi sneaked up on Travis (but, where is the soap? Shampoo? etc) because for a quasi professional photographer, the photos weren't centered nor were some captured at the right angle.

If only the dog, Napoleon, could talk!!

I think you don't see shampoo, etc...because of the angle that most of JA's and LE's photos are taken. If you look at this picture, you can see a shower caddy below the shower head. It looks like its holding stuff like soap, shampoo.

just thinking about ja with so much gas in the trunk of such a small car. i googled weight per gal of unleaded, ea gal is aprox 6.5lb so ea can if full was 32.5lb. she had three of these would be 97.5lb. plus gas in the tank that is a lot of gas. shows ja was on a mission.

it's a good thing she did not crash into anyone the possible explosion or fire would have been huge. i could see her driving down the road saying to herself mesa here i come. i gotta get there. smh

On a mission indeed. She drove almost 3,000 miles in under 5-1/2 days and the car had to be reeking of gas And I don't imagine you drive through NV/AZ deserts with the windows rolled down in June.

Here is the ME testimony if you go to 1:45 mark.
If she punctured his lung with one of the first stabs, he would have been gasping for air and coughing out a lot of blood. He would have been almost completely defenseless after this. He did have a pneumothorax (right side) . The autopsy stated this. She also nicked either his Inferior or Superior vena cava (can't recall which one, but you can see these are huge vessels going to and from the heart). This would cause him to lose blood volume at a rapid pace, quickly develop hypovolemia, and quickly feel very weak.

He believes the chest came before the gunshot and neck wound.
