Wondering if Nurmi would have the guts to recall Arias and let her make up another fable about the 3rd gas can ... like maybe she took one out of Travis' garage ? The same gas can Travis used to fill up his lawnmower to mow his non-existent lawn ? Or maybe fill up the jet-ski he didn't own ?

Yes! I asked this same question yesterday but haven't checked to see if anyone's answered yet.

Knowing that:

1. JM has proof that she did not return the 3rd gas can to Walmart and did buy that extra gas in SLC, and...

2. Samuels has opened the door for the (cough) "PTSD Fog" to lift at opportune moments....

... will Nurmi put Arias back on the stand to suddenly declare that she NOW remembers these events?

I know it's preposterous but I wouldn't put anything past them.

I still cannot figure out her logic of putting the camera in the washer, instead of taking it. She might have thought if she took it, she would had to take the box too...and her being such a "professional photographer" and all, Travis' room-mates would have reported the camera stolen and bingo, Jodi. Cause in Jodi's world, she doesn't stalk or isn't possessive ...that was Travis. Doncha know?

I'm thinking she found it, deleted photos, set it down somewhere on his clothes. Then in scopping up stuff the camera got thrown in and washed by mistake, OR she thought washing it would permanently destroy everything. IMO, she did not seem real surprised that the camera was found, because she knew she did not take it, IMO she simply forgot about it. During the Flores interview, he truest expression of surprise was that the deleted photos were on it.

She thought the deletion erased the evidence, irrespective of what she says on the stand now about being a digital photographer, which is really a title anyone that owns a digital camera and takes pictures with can say, eh?

My favorite moment of the interrogation tapes? When Flores tells her about the pictures and she says, "Are you sure it's me?" LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Flores just says, "Jodi, it's YOU."

The prevailing theory is that she didn't mean to do so. Probably picked it up, deleted photos and tossed it on the bed. Then, in her sweep of the bedroom, she hurriedly bundles the bedding to throw in the wash, catching the camera up in the sheets, which she then shoves in the wash.

I thought that once, although not in the bedding, because I think that was already in the dryer. It went in the washer with clothes and other bloody materials.

Since the shock of the bloody crime scene photographs has dulled a little for me, I think she deliberately put it in the wash - not to further destroy deleted photos, but to wash off her DNA from the blood soaked camera.

If it were not blood covered, she probably would have placed it back in its box, assuming CSIs would not even bother to look at it. After all, if they did not look at the camera, none of these photos would have been discovered.

Only Jodi knows for sure..One thing I am sure of is that she planned to drop him in the shower, but he fought for his life. It would have been a lot cleaner of a crime if Trav didn't fight back. She ended up having a lot more evidence to deal with than she'd planned for and then panicked/left. I like to think that Travis helped 'catch' her by fighting for his life.

BBM -- His defensive wounds scream "victim of premeditated murder" to me and, hopefully, to the 18 jurors.

I don't get it, it seems like Justice is saying the same thing?

LOL
I hadn't read what other's had posted when I replied, because there was a big boom here and it shook the floors of my house.. After carefully inspecting my basement, I went outside for about 15 minutes and a neighbor assured me that they had heard and it shook their house as well. They think it might have came from Ft. Knox, which is about 40-45 miles away.
Anyway, you are right. It is the same thing

Exactly! Who was on the defence there!

Even though Travis sent that message calling her a sociopath on the 26th, the one tie they still had was that she owed him for the car. I had a thought about that. I wonder if that was the pretense she went on. Calls him and says maybe something along the lines of "I'll just stop by and give you my next payment in person, so you have it before your trip, blah, blah, blah..." We did see a photo of a check in the evidence photos and maybe she said to him that she was on a road trip and it would be easy for her to do? I don't know, just a thought.

Along those lines I just realized that if the payment had been mailed the envelope she sent it in would be in evidence as well.

Question - why were the towels etc from the washer still bloody (red)? I missed that part early on but saw some of the photos. TIA.

i dont think they were bloody, you can see from the one that was still in the bathroom they were a kid of terracotta colour and they had some white kind of marbelling on them? like they had been in contact with bleach or something that will give a similar effect

Gonna just jump in cause...well, y'all know the drill! LOL!!

Regarding the 3 cans...and what it proves or doesn't prove as far as mileage, etc. I get all that, and how it totally shows premeditation.

But more than that, is the lack of 3 gas cans that were never found. Getting rid of a gun and/or knife and your bloody clothes knowing what you have done, OK, great. Human nature maybe and all that, one could theorize, if you suddenly "woke up" and saw you had this stuff.

But who the HELL destroys 3 gas cans??? I mean, they are so innocent and all. What could THEY have possibly done?

And yet I have never heard her explanation of what happened to them. I read someone said they were in her grandparent's garage, but that can't be true or else they would be state's evidence 1, 2 and 3. LOL!!!

Anyway, I truly think the 3 gas cans proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was nothing less than 1st Degree Premeditated Murder deserving of the Death Penalty.

And probably went nuts trying to find it when she left, knowing it would be damning to her.

I wish they could have Arias on video during this purchase to see her hair color? How long would a store like Walmart keep their surveillance records? I would imagine indefinitely for such a megastore?

I wonder if JM didn't think JA was going to lie about the 3rd gas can or if he thought she was going to lie over it and the reason he didn't compel Walmart for the records until after she was 100% solidified in her lie was to make it so she couldn't turn back on her lie? If her lawyers knew immediately after she lied that the state requested the records and what the records stated, I am sure JA would have changed her lie to try and "fix" it as much as possible. She spends so much time just fixing her lies in her story! But since the state didn't request the records until afterwards they really can prove her to be a liar and she can no longer make up some lie to try and fix her damage. I am pumped!

Thank you. Now we just need a photo of the Salinas Starbucks, and the 'cinder block' curb that her licence plate was so conveniently standing upright against! :floorlaugh:

What about when Flores shows her the pigtail photo and she says "That
looks like me."

I notice that it looks like there is a strip mall connected to the Walmart. Is there a hair and nail salon there? Maybe two differant places a nail salon, and a separate place where she could of gotten her hair done? I feel that JM has the goods on where she got her hair done, and if it was done at the stripmall connected to Walmart so easily found by detectives.

Wish that WalMart rep could slip into testimony about how the product code for sun block was not entered right. What did it say hair product? Someone have their Cancun clothes packed along with long sleeved shirts in the hot summer weather, as witnesses said she showed up in Utah with?
