"My dad used to yell at fat people."

Let's guess......
Several of the jurors are overweight.

Linda--I respectfully disagree - look here:

The beginnings of sexual addiction are usually rooted up in adolescence or childhood. It is found that 60% of sexual addicts were abused by someone in their childhood (Book, 1997,pp 52). The child may have grown up in a hostile, chaotic or neglectful home.....

http://allpsych.com/journal/sexaddiction.html

Child abuse is a major contributor to sexual addiction in adults. Research has shown that a very high correlation exists between childhood abuse and sexual addiction in adulthood. 97% of sex addicts have been emotionally abused as a child, 83% have been sexually abused and 71% have been physically abused.

http://www.sw-mins.org/The Cause of Sexual Addiction.html

But it doesn't say that "97% of emotionally/sexually/physically abused are sex addicts", so those stats are incomplete. Without the whole picture, it's easy to be misled.

By the way, I think Drew has lost his mind. He discounts the possibility that JA might have a personality disorder. His thinking and observations are self-serving and fanatical- it all comes back to some sort of addiction, every single time. He does such a disservice to the understanding of human psychology and to victims.

It's interesting how quick some are to dismiss things said about TA's past as lies or mistruths, but then attack JA's childhood history (as told be her testimony) as being complete lies.

Unless and until someone can disprove JA's childhood history in court, doesn't it need to be accepted as truthful? I'm not saying there is some earth-shaking revelation in her story yet, but it doesn't come across as lies, at least to me.

I haven't followed this trial as closely as most of you, I'm sure, but I tend to find her testimony credible so far. I'm a man, and so far I feel sympathetic toward her testimony. Of course, we haven't gotten to the point where she will need to clarify her lies to law enforcement, and that may change things, but so far I think she has done well for herself. Lots of details tends to make people feel like the truth is being told.

I respectfully request you watch all the police interogation videos and her 48 hours and Inside Edition specials and then report back as to whether those change your mind.

Go quickly before she takes the stand. She'll be on in about 12 minutes. They started on time yesterday.

my guess is.. they are trying to show her history of being 'used'.

That's pretty good. I do think she was "used" rather than "abused". Maybe guys tended to "use" the bad girl IYKWIM? Not specifically referring to Travis here. But if she was "easy" I guess the guys found that out fairly quickly.

Eh...I don't want to get into trouble here and be misinterpreted what I am trying to say. Nevermind!

Simple fact: We have incontrovertible proof that Jodi is a liar. We don't have any proof Travis ever was and never will as a result of Jodi's actions. Psychopaths thrive because people believe, trust, and unknowingly empower them.

To even compare Jodi's childhood to Travis' is as much a disrespect and disservice to victims of horrendous abuse and neglect as children as Jodi's battered person's claim is to true victims of domestic abuse.

And there is no one who can ever force me to believe something as truth until it is reasonably proven to my own personal burden. Works much the same as respect with me. I am not a juror...and even they have the ability to completely disregard her mitigating testimony for the pack of lies I believe it to be.

MOO

She reminds me of a stray dog looking for someone to take her in and care for her -only she would bite the hand that feeds her or worse. No remorse, no caring, always looking out for the next easy mark.

She's a skilled and documented liar. The jury knows that. We certainly know that here. Actually when lots of details are given it can be an indicator that the truth is nowhere in sight. I believe that's exactly how JA operates. Maybe 5% truth, the rest lies. She talks and lies to distract and elicit sympathy--- and it's apparently worked for her at times.

While we wait, I recommend re-reading Linda Crystals Forensic Astrology report on Jodi Arias and her chart. She even talks about Jodi coming in to a 'windfall'. Can we say Ebay sales of her art? I consider that quite a windfall for her. Also, her childhood, problems with her parents. All very interesting now that we have heard from her. There was this part too:

"Jodi does not get along with females and feels challenged by them. Venus is retrograde in Gemini in the third house of communication. Jodi is not a good sales person for example. If Jodi does not get her way she will call, threaten, argue and all these things like slashing tires are predictable in her chart. Other females to Jodi are a threat and enemy. Kind of like a “cat fight”. I believe this girl that Travis was dating is in a very dangerous spot, especially if Jodi gets set free of this. I believe the girlfriend was next. The girl that had her tires slashed. Jodi does not like herself, therefore other females are in constant competition and danger."

"Venus retrograde also makes it hard for Jodi to get and keep a job. Jodi is headstrong about how she wants things and what work she is going to do. Money is illusive for Jodi and she keeps chasing it. Travis was a money mogul and Jodi did not want to give this up."

Did anyone catch InSession a few minutes ago? The stare down from (Tanisha sp?) when Jodi was on the stand was incredible. If looks could kill Jodi would have been dead. That was intense. God Bless that Family.

I love the pic someone posted last night of the family holding wooden spoons!!

OK just logged on, why am I seeing the AZ Seal? When does testimony resume?

I crashed on matts dads couch.....see! Same thing again and again, I feel like watching a movie where the same thing and story spliced in!

After the Anthony trial I thought I would puke if I heard another time a person was "crashing" or "hanging out." Ugh.......get a vocabulary.

I cannot get over how Jodi's family sat there stone faced or with smirks at the testimony yesterday.

You would think that the mother would have been in tears hearing about the "abuse" with the belt and wooden spoon. Nope. Nothing. Wonder what the jury thought of that?

Does anyone else think Nurmi is trying to elicit testimony, but that Jodi just doesn't get it? He's trying to show a pattern of her folk's marriage, but fell flat. I just don't think she knows enough about human emotion to "get" what he is trying to get her to say.
