I think its ownership, not love. I don't believe she saw Travis as a human being who would one day marry and become a father. I think he was an object to her who got in the way of what she wanted most. JMOThere is this little thing that creeps out once in a while. I get the feeling that there is 0.006% of her that loves him (as I believe she still does in her I love you I hate you, you are not mine so dead is just how we will have to go with this)
and she feels microscopically bad for talking bad about him. She is "almost" causing the Attorney to have to pry the "bad" info from her. She is making him work for it a bit.
He asks and expects a certain answer as they might have talked about and now the tiny pang of guilt peeks in. As if Travis is standing there, looking at her, saying, "why are you doing this to me Jodi? Why?"
