It is truly an eye opener when there are so may of us on this board that overcame our abuser and can share. All I will say like many others my stalker was a charismatic psychopath...and I am so thankful he is in prison for life..I still check his status to make sure he is still there..I remember living with newspapers taped to my windows and alumin foil over the newspapers ..

Big hugs to you, and to Floating.

I didn't overcome that way. Mine is very free, as is the man she had rape me (I never saw his face; she and her cousin drugged me before taking me there). She has children and is on Facebook having a grand ole time. I had immediate PTSD and was her roommate for 2 years before I could remember everything, what exactly she had said, etc.

Ah, I had no proof that late, of course, and there was just no proving what she said to me that let me know she knew exactly what she was doing. It's OK, though. I still overcame her. I seriously thought I was going mad when I had PTSD and lived with her. All I needed was to get away and be able to heal in therapy.

Floating, I can't even imagine how horrible your situation was, but I have a teeny taste having lived with my psychopath after she did what she did. I feel sick even thinking about your past situation. Huge hugs. Thank you for sharing.

My hyper/playful poodle in my siggy line wants to play the VINNIE GAME too!

EMO (Not to be confused with EMU)

(urban dictionary definition!)

And Vinnie is mine!
VinnieVents!!!! - YouTube

Ahhhhh, I needed that after today!

:offtobed: (PS - yes, you can call me ANJ - but I will find your comment to me better with the full name when the thread is moving this fast!)

Caught up - to be 30 pages behind by morning!

Thanks as I had never seen. I watched live and could never understand why this was not the bombshell of the day as IMHO this has been the most commical part of this traggic trial.

So sorry that Travis family and friends are going through this. Just shows what a #%&$% she is.

Love your Poodles (and mine too.....have two of those smarties myself) and thank you for showing that clip of Vinnie where he points out the irony of Gus "the Legal guy" who doesn't have an attorney handy! Hey Gus---how's that PPL working for you! :floorlaugh:

Dearest Floating and the others out there that share our "secret pain". Your accounts of what happened to you resonate so strongly. This trial is painful and dredges up the stuff we have chosen to put in some part of our brain. I watch the trial and can touch the anger that is deep inside that has been there for a very long time. I want justice for Travis and his "surviving family. What JA did was so selfish and destructive to so many people and I truly believe she doesn't give a damn. I take offense as a homicide survivor to this defense strategy. Floating, I am so sorry for your loss and what you had to endure. Hugs from me too

Does anyone know what the cost is to be allowed to "enter" PPL? From whom did Jodi scam this "entrance fee"? TIA

I found this, but not sure if it was the same when she joined.

Legal Shield as a Business Opportunity

Much like car insurance, Legal Shield is sold by independent representatives with a network marketing compensation plan. To become a Legal Shield independent representative costs a one time fee of $249.

I'd like to play the game Vinnie P plays with his guests on HLN each afternoon:

Give me one word to describe JA's testimony this afternoon.

irrelevant

Too funny, we posted about that at the same time!

It feels so much like that!

..but I love Kevin Spacey...even though he's too good at being creepy lol

OT BBM I love Kevin Spacey too! I have been watching a new series with him called House of Cards on Netflix. Just in case anyone else is late to the party, like I always am, and have not heard of the show.

If you act like a hoe.....you can't be mad if a man treats you like one....just sayin'

That has nothing to do with my post, but I wonder what kind of reaction it would get on, say, the human trafficking threads :what:

from my googling it looks like first you have to pay the $249 for the "kit" to start that gives you the promo material, but you are also required to keep a current paid membership too - which the cheapest was around $30 a month back then- and i am sure the more involved you got - since you made small commisions from selling the actual service, the real money came as you signed associates to work for your team, then you get a cut of their sales - that you would prolly keep having to lay out more $$$ for promotional materials - imo

quick question: watching NG & they were just explaining the stungun/tazer thingy on JA's leg and that if she goes crazy they can take her down real quick. do all criminal defendants wear one of these when taking the stand or is this a JA thing??

I skimmed over it and thought the 30 was for the person who bought the insurance from the PPL "associate".

Thanks for clearing it up, I appreciate it.

Still catching up...

One more thing....

PHYSICAL ABUSE upon JA didn't get Travis killed.

REJECTON got Travis killed.

Didn't Jodi say she watched the one Guy with his girlfriend and liked the way he treated her(she had only seen it in the movies?) Didn't she end up dating him? She wanted what that other girl had....and she got it..

If you ask me, her sex capades had brought her a long way. That's why she had no problem moving on from one Guy to the next....these guys probably loved the hell out of Jodi....but once she was done with them...it was over.

Now here comes Travis and Jodi falls in love. The power of JA sex capades are short lived....and Travis gets a new girl.....

Some other girl had taken Jodi's spot in Travis life....

I call that KARMA.

I can't imagine it would be specific to her. It would make sense that any time a person charged with a serious violent crime is unshackled in public that any available precaution would be taken to protect everyone present in the most effective least risky way possible.
