I was wondering do we know if Travis ever went to JA's house or town to visit her? I know that she traveled to see/stalk him.
Someone asked me and I dont remember hearing if he had.

I don't believe so. Certainly not after she moved back to California, and so far all we have heard is that they met at the Hughes' house before then, and maybe traveled to some other destinations - but no indication that Travis ever went to visit her.

Good morning everyone. Just love reading here and have for several years. Am ready for the trial to get started this morning, but golly gee don't know if I can make it through the blah blah rhythm that Jodi and her lawyer have going on between them. He kind of gives me the heebie-jeebies the way he is asking her the questions. So flat and drawn out. Juan will put the excitement back in the questioning for me. I think he will make Jodi's head spin by the time he gets finished with her.

I don't see how he couldn't. She's locked herself so tightly into a narrative that I think it will be hard to remember when he does the cross. I have a feeling her memory will become splotchy on the cross.

I'm seriously tired I might just :offtobed: and listen while I nap.

BTW, someone said the phone tape will be played today. Does anyone have any Vaseline I can borrow? :waitasec: :liar:

It has taken me four trials to realize that when I do a quick response through the box at the bottom of the page that I no longer have thanks buttons when it is posted.

I now realize I have to do a refresh to get my thanks buttons to show.

FWIW to others who may have had this happen and are as dense as me!

or how a childhood like he had might even set him up to be ATTRACTED to "crazy"?

Abso-freakin-lutely!

The domestic violence expert is going to have her hands full on cross.

I'll be at home this afternoon and will be able to watch the coverage on tv... anybody know if it'll be on DirecTV? If so, any idea what channel? I've only been watching online so far.

It is on channel 246 on directv until 3 and channel 204 after 3.

Scott did not testify but he did do Interviews. I cant remember if it was 20/20 or 48 hours???? Anyone? Yes they sure are similar.

I don't know about those but a local one I believe with a Holly ?????? that made the rounds--especially since he turned his phone off when it was ringing during the interview and his wife after all was "missing"

Not only was she willing, but according to two other witnesses, she was sexually "aggressive". And now we're supposed to believe her when she says that Travis was the the aggressive one here, that she was just an innocent, inexperienced little school girl, just went along with it because she didn't want to make him feel "rejected"? :what: This woman had been shacking up with men since she was in her teens, I'd say she's been around the block a few times.

I also have to say that I can't believe that the prosecution is allowing this. Even Nancy Grace says it is "objectionable", that is, if he objects. I just really, really hope and pray that he has a plan.

In her stories she is not the aggressor in meeting, but the man is. He approaches her, not her them.

Is the photo in the black lace dress the Las Vegas meeting? If so, if her dress was any lower you'd see her nipples. Wouldn't that get any mans attention? even a Mormon man, if you're showing that much boobage? Did DB say if she was a blonde when she left for Vegas? Talk about first impressions.

This is a serious question (I'm not being sarcastic)-

Can Juan rebut whatever the defense's psych "experts" say with an expert of his own? If so, can that expert testify in hypotheticals about Travis's childhood and what might have made him vulnerable to a controlling sexual predator? And further, how Travis the victim of actual abuse might have had difficulty in making his abuser go away and stay away?
Yes. (Didn't someone say there was a forensic psychiatrist listed for the State somewhere? :waitasec:) Said forensic psychiatrist could easily put to rest our armchair analysis of the likely disordered Ms. Arias. ;)

I don't think Juan will put forth that Jodi was abusive though...obsessive stalker, yes - but by legal standards psychological abuse is neither defined nor a criminal offense in most jurisdictions so I don't think he'll go down that road. Add to that society often still considers it an impossibility that men can be victims of domestic violence. I think it would be a rabbit hole. JMO

I don't think he did either one of those shows. He did Good Morning, America and an interview with a local reporter.

There was an industrial size bottle of KY somewhere. I think I remember seeing it in someone's photobucket account.

Yeah, I have to say she's pretty good at adding in those subtle yet no so subtle details. And she didn't develop that type of skill overnight. She's been working at this for a while, probably one way she weaseled her way into Travis' life in the first place. What's so bad is that she's being allowed to give her twisted version of events, and Travis doesn't have that same opportunity. Who's going to speak for him? :(

...So now I'm wondering if half of Jodi's "reality" is lifted from someone else's creative material... Will her entire testimony devolve into a game of "Name That Movie or Book?"

Respectfully snipped.

Personally, I think that most of what Jodi says is fictitious - bits and pieces of truth cleverly woven into a tale that she lifted from another source. Jodi often makes references to film, TV shows, actors, etc., so I think your thoughts on her "reality" are spot on.

I thought about that too and I think somebody else asked a while ago.

If she only testifies about her life history up until June 3, 2008 then there was no point whatsoever to her blabbing for two days non-stop.
The jury doesn't want to hear about this nonsense, they want to know what happened on June 4, 2008.

BlB, what is the evidentiary hearing? Is that starting at 10:30 this morning?

The evidentiary hearing is tomorrow. Today is a regular day of testiphony from Jodi.

Sorry if someone already posted this.

I know this is now old news, but I wondered if anyone else thought it was hilarious how JA referred to a trip to Costa Rica as 'oh yes, I went abroad' when she was a teenager. Like she was some debutant who was finishing her education in Europe.

Delusional much?

For some reason I thought Jodi said in one of her t.v interviews ( or interrogation ) that she and Travis didn't start a sexual relationship until after she was baptized?? I could be wrong that is just something I remember hearing ....
When did they , in Jodi's words " make it official?".
Why would Travis being the "sexual deviant" the defense is claiming , would he start a "official" relationship with someone he was already getting sexual with without the commitment ? I call B.S ...

IMO ... He cared for her and that was why he continued to have her in his life ... Why he let her in ( or let her stay if she came unannounced ) and offered her a place to sleep the day she murdered him ... not just for sex as it is being claimed... I think he cared for her up until she murdered him....

I sensed that even Nurmi was getting frustrated with her at times. Of course, Nurmi has a way of taking way too long to get to the point as well.

I'll say. He just drags it out, drones on and on in that monotone voice of his. Maybe he's trying to put the jury to sleep? :waitasec: Then he has to rephrase his question, over and over again. It's almost painful to watch. Actually he makes me think of Billy Bob Thornton in that movie Sling Blade. He talks really, really slow albeit with a southern drawl, but he's kind of simple minded so he does have an excuse.
I can just picture him saying "I reckon I ain't go no reason to kill nobody".

seriously her mother yesterday dabbing her eyes during the sex testimony her daughter was giving ----- gag me---

Well, zoey -- it's the old apple and tree thing again, I guess. So proud of her daughter, learning her lessons well.

Then why am I hearing this part of a CSNY song in my head??

Teach your parents well,
Their children's hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picked, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.
